1– outstanding service 2– you have to get the garlic parm fries with the Melindas Naga Jolokia ketchup on the side 3– onion rings are delicious Came before a stars game on a Saturday night and so glad we did! First time here and we will definitely be back!

Wow. Sitting at a table on the patio having drink before the Garth Brooks concert and I guess it was manager asked if he could move us to the bar because he needed the table. We politely told him no a couple times until we had to say we are fine here. Funny thing is there are three open tables 5 minutes later. And as I type three more tables open up. Our server Natalie is so awesome and gorgeous.

Ate here earlier this month and tried a few things. Great beef nachos, chicken quesadillas, and chile con carne curly fries. Mojitos were also good and huge screens for the MAVS game! Waitress was very helpful and welcoming. Will be back.

As Stars season ticket holders we are always looking for something above the typical arena food. Pira is definitely just that. We tried Pira in the middle of last season and have been huge fans ever since. The food is fresh, well prepared and tastes good. The drinks are quite good with the Ruby Slipper being our favorite. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. The cost for a meal at Pira is actually less than what you would pay for just a burger, fries and a beer inside the arena and you are getting much better food. To top it off the staff at Pira is wonderful. Jenny is a fantastic waitress who is fast and fun without being overboard. She takes the time to get to know her customers by name and also remembers their drink preferences. Ron, the Managing Partner, makes it a point to visit with customers while they are dining in order to make sure they are having a positive experience and also will help his own staff when it gets busy. When we walk into Pira we feel as comfortable as we would in our own house. Having been there over 40 times this season we highly recommend Pira if you are looking for a great meal at the AAC.

Chy… Psi… what ever her name was she was a doll. Service with a smile. I am a chip connoisseur. Get the beef nacho basket of heaven and rock it with pico and salsa. Skip the guac it is not legit. I do not do dairy, use your judgment. My girl rocked on some kaysa dillas(yes I did that on purpose) Bottles of wine, 30 $…Groovy. I went Malbec, bc I like smooth spice and gentle boldness, but Only In my wine. Ambiance, stellar. I love the tall chairs, and the chains. Have we met? Safe word? Music, my style. Restrooms, you could totally get a quickie in. The sinks look like chihuly had extra time. We hung for over an hour before cruising VIP the entire night. You can enter AAC here, get ready for some wand action.

My bf and I came to the AA center for a Mavs game and were very hungry. We didn’t have time to grab dinner before the game, so we were looking for a place that had a decent menu. Pira Latin ended up being our go to spot, and we were quite pleased to say the least. The tables were very dirty, but we couldn’t expect too much being in a big arena. Even though Pira is its own separate restaurant, I had very low expectations. Our waitress started us off with a round of Margaritas, and they were actually good and not too sweet. We decided to share both the Chicken Quesadillas and the Shrimp Tacos. The quesadillas were ok. I only wish that the guacamole that came with the quesadillas weren’t mixed in with a ton of mayonnaise. The shrimp tacos could have been really good had there been more shrimp and less onions. Overall, we got what we needed… food and drinks. If you’re expecting five star food and service, you’ve come to the wrong place. But, if you want a meal that’s better than what’s at the concession stands, I recommend Pira.

It was okay. Great way to waste time before a concert or other event at arena. Our waitress was great the drinks were okay but overpriced.

Went there for drinks and Ron the manager was great. He went by far, above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The bartenders were very friendly as well. I’ll def be back there anytime I’m in the area!

Went salsa dancing there last Saturday night– fantastic playlist, nice and safe environment(no creepers) but there was a very slim choice of talented male dancers, floor wasn’t exactly for dancing but not horrible(a bit slippery). The free salsa class at 11pm is nice for absolute compete beginners– in general, a great spot for those new to the dance scene, seasoned salseros y bachateros may wanna look elsewhere. Perfect non-judgement zone! Free for ladies, $ 7 for guys.

As Pira is in the AA center and has a captive audience, it’s the only place in the arena to try something a little different. My wife had the stuffed jalepeno appetizer. They were very good, wrapped in crispy bacon and cooked perfectly. I ordered the latin buffet they were offering for that night at a «special price» of $ 20. They had stations set up throughout the covered patio, and it was slow to get service. They had fajitas and a couple of other dishes which were only fair and often overcooked, but the salsa bar had numerous choices that almost made up for it. You can never be sure what menu they’ll be offering on a given night, and there’s times I’ve gone and they’ve had private parties with no food options for others at all. As a regular Mavs season ticket holder, be wary of these facts and you might have a surprisingly filling meal here, or you’ll have to head back to Old #7 for some bar food.

This was my first time visiting Pira. I was at the AA Center waiting for a concert to start and needed a good drink to get me loosened up after long day at work. Pira is conveniently located inside AA. We found seats at the bar and were able to order in a reasonable time. I couldn’t believe that they only had two bartenders working but to their credit they were working the crowd pretty good. It’s also always a plus when the bartenders are able to keep a smile on their face and be pleasant under pressure. We ordered tacos to soak up some of the alcohol and although it took a while for them to come out, we were able to eat, pay our tab and get out of there with time to spare before the show. They get three stars for convenience, tasty drinks and friendly bartenders. They could improve by having more people on staff during busy nights.

Ok here is my review … First the red deco and and the patio fire lightings is eye catching it pulls you inside Next i didnt have a problem with being seated maybe because i got there a hour+ b4 the Mav’s game which you have to consider the other events or time of season that maybe a factor Also you don’t have to be dressy to enter it sure fooled me. The next good point is that you can enter the AAC from inside the resturant and or vice versa Now cons If im not wrong this is a Latin Resturant menu maybe i don’t know my Latin which i don’t but it is a very plan and simple menu IJS Next the drinks are very pricey Daggnabbitt 12 $ and no happy hour REALLYNOW they are not that good so heck i only had one crap I dont live downtown Lol. Next and this is my suggestion is if it is a all you can eat day of the week COMEVERYHUNGRYIJS again 20 $ all-u-can eat with 4 different set-ups to choose which you might pay that much in the AACSO… Last it is sexxy clean and sleak I would go back. So NJoy your visit

A few months ago thought getting some food here before a Mavericks game would be a good idea. Besides, it’s inside the arena. With over an hour before tip off I was fairly confident that there would be no issue getting to my seat before tip off. I was seated and then proceeded to wait. And wait. After about 10 minutes someone finally came over. There weren’t many items on the menu, but I was told by the waitress the Cuban Mark was a good choice so I went with that. I waited waited for another 30 minutes without any contact from any employees from Pira. No one even filled my glass of water. Just as I was about to cut my losses and leave my food came out. With around 20 minute before the start of the game I inhaled the sandwich as fast as I could. It was decent, but I felt like it would be a lot better if it had more pork in it. The bread was the star of the show, which was unfortunate. With 5 minutes to spare I was finished and waived down my waitress to get the check. I gave her my credit card and then more waiting ensued. After another 10 minutes passed I was given my card back. Not sure if it was an issue with the machine or if it was just too busy around that time. She did apologize for making me wait so long, but that’s no consolidation for missing part of the game.

If I could rate this two ways I would, service was 5 stars. Great staff, very attentive. Now the food on the other hand was just down right terrible. The chips and three dip combo, you used queso from the concession stands. The quesadilla while they were ok, they were not great and the guacamole did not seem fresh. For a place that has the subtitle premium comida y bebidas it falls way behind. You are better off going inside the arena and ordering from Taco Bueno and you get about the same menu options.

Went here for some appetizers with the family before the game. First, the wine was no good so they opened a new bottle and took the charge off the bill which is totally acceptable. However, nearly all the food we ordered was subpar at best. The buffalo wings we got were alright, but not spicy at all. They instead had a tangy taste to them even though we told them we wanted the hottest flavor they have. The chili cheese fries tasted like someone just dumped a can of Wolf brand chili on top of the cheese and fries. The blackened Tilapia sure was blackened on the outside alright, but was severely bland. There was no spice or kick to it and the only real flavor to be had was a very fishy taste. The burger we got tasted like a slice of meatloaf between a couple of slices of bread — not satisfying at all. Overall, the only appetizer we were happy with was the hummus. Due to the extremely poor food and high prices($ 6 for chips and queso), I simply cannot recommend this place to anyone unless you have no taste buds and a fat wallet.

Please don’t waste your money. Limited menu and its simply awful. I had to go to Kenichi immediately after to eat some real food and to get the weird taste out of my mouth from Pira. I really hope they close and a better option opens soon.

I am reporting them to the TABC, BBB, calling management and the owners of this establishment. These are the reasons why… I was there last night with a group of friends. I was astounded by how we were treated. First, we were told we could have a table of 6, but when we arrived there was only a table of four. After ten minutes of arguing with the management, they finally brought us another table, so we could all fit. Then the real drama started happening… 1. Five minutes after we sat down, the manager walked up to us and asked if «We are going to take care of our waitress?»(As in, are we coming to tip her), when I explained to him that yes, we will be tipping, he came back with«Well, last time you were here you did not tip her at all…» Ummm excuse me; I tipped her $ 15 on a $ 20 ticket, because we were there for a while. My reply fell to a deaf ear though… 2. By the end of the night the waitress brought us our ticket, which was EXTREMELY wrong and was $ 50 over what we had that night. When I tried to explain that we did not have as much as she had on the ticket, she started arguing and calling me a liar. My sister then said«I don’t know why this is so difficult; she(me) is trying to help you figure this out.» The waitress came back with, «Why are you so rude to me?» You have been so rude to me all night long.” Which I didn’t understand what she was talking about, until my sister explained that OUR waitress was drunk and was taking shots at the bar all night long. So I get it now, she is a mad and angry drunk… 3. Upon leaving, my friend went up to her explaining that the waitress was extremely rude to us and she did not understand her attitude towards us. The waitress then proceeded to scream and get in my friend’s face and say«We walked our tab last time we were there.» Obviously, she was delusional and drunk, because I still had my receipt from the last time. The 2nd manager then walked up, while she was still screaming at us and tried to diffuse the situation, to no avail. She was screaming over his shoulder and finally she left where we could speak to him only. I explained all the happenings of that night, but I don’t know if he really cared. Even though he said he would check to see if she was drinking… which I highly doubt. WORST place I have ever been to in my life… If you do decide to go to this restaurant, watch out for ALICIA, she is a handful and I never thought I would ever have such an obnoxious and incompetent waitress.

How do you go from 4 stars to 1? Strip your menu to nothing but lackluster tacos. You have three options: pork, chicken, or beef tacos. You get 3 for $ 8, and they are not great. There’s no option for any condiments or toppings. This is no longer a better option that American Airlines Center food. Hell it’s hardly better than American Airlines in-flight meals! They said they did this because the rest of their food took to long(and that’s understandable, but think of a better way). The tacos came out in about two minutes. Their burgers were so good… Such a shame.

Pira has some of the best Empanadas I have had, and part of my family is Latin. While the food is great, I have yet to find any where that lists their hours. If you go to their website it lists an email address and no other contact info. I sent an email asking what the hours are and have not heard anything from them, it’s been 3 days. I finally found a phone number to call, the lady who answered the phone rattled off the hello so quick all I heard was«…corporate office». When I asked about the hours she said she didn’t know, «maybe when the AA Center opens?». I asked if she had a number to the host stand, «no, we don’t have that number». I sent two VIP guests there, but they weren’t open and there was no sign on the door listing hours. While the food was good, and the bartenders where jovial and customer centric, they get a big FAIL on management and operation. I doubt I will go back, I don’t want to walk up with friends or guests and have to scramble to find somewhere else that meets the same flavor profile.
