True Mexican food made from scratch. Best plate is parrillada, so get it! Full bar, has sea food, shrimp and fish. Mariachis play on weekends 6pm to close. Live music Monday to Thursday starting at 10pm. Has TVs on the walls, they have a juke box. Great place for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late dining. Yup this place stays open late too.

Just discovered this place biking by. Heard loud music so I had to peak in. 7 piece live mariachi band ! Apparently they play Saturdays and Sundays with music every other night too. I happen to meet the owner while I was there too. Very nice and gracious. Excellent chile relleno. Great experience, I’ll be back for sure… Go here to check out the mariachi band. The manager told me they play at these times: Saturday 10:30 — 11:30pm Sunday 3:30 — 4:30pm There is also a drag show apparently on Wednesday. Random

This place is getting a major overhaul, thanks to some outside help from a professional in the industry. This means, a better menu(both in how it looks and in the options offered… but don’t worry, the staples will remain the same), better drinks, and some new, qualified staff. So this good place is on the way to being great! The food here is the draw. It’s authentic Mexican food, with enough options to satisfy the most die-hard Mexican fan(with most of the menu written in Spanish already), to those like me who prefer a simple fajita or steak sandwich dish. The prices are beyond reasonable for the portion size and food quality. And you can always tell an authentic place by the clientele… I don’t need to say more, you can see for yourself! The typical Mexican beers are served, and although the margaritas are pre-made in a machine(which is probably soon to change), they are tasty and strong! Live entertainment occurs every, single night, and every single night it’s different(yes, they still have the transvestite show!) If you get there before the entertainment starts, you can enjoy some really interesting music on the jukebox. Get there early, and you can be guaranteed a quiet dinner, but once the clock hits 9:30, it begins to get loud, boisterous, and FUN! This place is HUGE and once it gets full, the party starts! And best of all, for those that prefer to eat dinner VERY late after a night out(or early in the morning… the next day), this is the spot to be, because you can find people eating here at 3am, and even later on certain nights! It may be a bit of a drive for those of us living closer to downtown, but for the overall experience, it’s well worth it. And while you’re in the neighborhood, consider stopping by the Cottage Lounge for a beer!

This is another Mex-Mex resturant that I love. I love the fajitas here. I like them so much I’ve only had one or two other items on the menu. It is Parrillada de Lupitas on the menu. These have to be some of the cheapest fajitas in Dallas. They have it for 1,2,3 or 4 persons. The one for 2 people will easy feed 3 and so on. They have live entertainment(starts around 10pm) most nights with the transvestie show being the best. it’s on Wed. It’s like being in a Felini movie. you’ll swear you’re not in Texas anymore. Very good service, but limited english. We’re all ways the only non-hispanics in the place.
