Rocco’s Uptown Pizza & Pasta

This place is good Its been here for a few years loved it better when it was BYOB beers are not cheap but food is really good

Pizza looked cheap but tasted fine. Not the best, but definitely not the worst. I would prefer the cheese be cooked a little darker. They delivered very fast. I’m happy overall. I had asked for regular crust but was surprised at how thin it was. I am from the chicagoland area so my expectations for pizza are pretty high. I was overwhelmed at the options on the menu so I’m sure if I would order again, I would ask for a thicker crust, more sauce, and ask them to cook it till the cheese is golden.

Greasy, over fried, over salted, and over priced. I got sick from eating here too. Never again!

Open late. Roccos supreme is the only pizza you should ever think about getting because it is awesome. Better than iFratelli, dominos, pizza hut, and other delivery options.

I loved Rocco’s I go to eat on Wednesday nights the manager has been lovely. The pizza is great!
Unfortunately Friday night I ordered pizza and it never showed up. When speaking to the manager one night he said there has been issues with the delivery drivers. I understand that there’s mix ups especially if you order during busy hours. However my credit card was charged for the full amount. I called on Saturday and they said someone would get back to me. I never heard anything, I called on Sunday and they said if it does not get delivered it is voided and you’re refunded the money within 48 hours. It’s now Tuesday afternoon and it’s still on my statement. I just called again and they said they need to «review» my order.
It seems that no one will give an answer and is avoiding the subject of refunding my money.

I love this place. Dough tastes fresh every time. The pickup orders are usually 10 – 15 min so that helps when you are needing some quick food to take home. I’ve dined in once and service was pretty nice. They even changed the channel to put the football game on for us! Definitely one of my go-​to places for food.

Ordered delivery tonight. Have never eaten here before.

chicken Alfredo w gluten free pasta — was absolutely delicious. Added broccoli, and black olives.
Some vegetable pene dish (forgot the name) — My boyfriend was very please with this dish! The only issue was, was that I had added chicken to it. I think the cooks got confused of the changes and didn’t add chicken. We called immediately and they sent one w chicken to us! No issues dealing a the mistaken.
I’m gluten free so I wasn’t able to try the rolls… But he loved these too. They looked amazing!
Customer service was so nice and understanding. Very knowledgable and helpful.
Delivery took about an hour and was so worth it!

On the weekends (when most people eat out) Rocco’s thought it would be a good idea to only serve pizza and select appetizers until 3pm. So they lost a huge amount of business from local hospitals to their competitors. Oops, wrong decision, Rocco’s!

Came here to Uptown on a Saturday night after deciding that the Thai place a few doors down just wasn’t going to cut it. Surprisingly, there were only four tables that were occupied. We had no idea what we were getting into, so my wife & I decided to give Rocco’s a shot anyway.
First off, Rocco’s décor is set up like a standard pub, yet is well-​lit and fashioned to be a New York-​style type of Italian restaurant. That’s a good thing. Very clean and welcoming. Our server demonstrated that he was all about the customer, and was quite attentive to our needs throughout the evening.
Started the evening off with buttered pepperoni rolls with marinara sauce, which was a good choice for two people to share. If you had this appetizer by itself, you may not have enough room for your pizza or pasta dish. The rolls are a little on the heavy side as far as filling, yet the taste was truly exceptional. Following that was the pizza itself, a six-​sliced serving of onions, mushrooms and pepperoni on a thin crust. She had iced water, while I had a Goose Island IPA draft. Dessert was offered (as expected), and luckily, a Unilocal check-​in offered a free Canoli that had a coconut-​mousse taste with it that I found palatable.
Altogether, this was a good evening in Uptown at Rocco’s. If going on days other than Friday or Saturday, its advisable to check the hours. The weekdays tend to close much earlier than Friday or Saturday night.

It is a nice place with few flat screens for sports. The pizza was ok. The crust was blank with no texture or flavor (we ordered the thin crust). The cheese and other ingredients were good quality which masked the quality of the crust. Service was great and prices were very reasonable.

Ordered a medium sausage Alfredo pizza. They delivered a chicken Alfredo with mushrooms. I called the manager Jason and he said the right pizza was on it’s way. An hour later it came. What I got was a large half cheese half canadian bacon w/​mushrooms. This time I stopped the driver and told him this still isn’t right. I called and talked to Jason and he lied to me. He told me that he called the driver and the correct pizza was delivered. I give up with this place. I’ve been a long time customer but if they are going to get the order wrong twice and then lie about it, I can not do business with them anymore.

We are from out of town and looking for some late night food. After searching the Internet for an hour or so Rocco’s was the only thing delivering to our hotel. We weren’t expecting much, we just wanted stay in. It was great. Better than most mom and pop Italian from the east coast. Prices are reasonable, delivery quick. We had wings, meatballs, Cesar salad, and meat pizza. If you are looking for quality delivery, this is the place.

Do you like eating cardboard? Well then you’ll love the pizza here. Tastes like frozen and defrosted crust, canned tasting sauce.

Went on a Wednesday for $ 5 personal (8″) pizzas served with pepperoni and one other topping. Haven’t tried their full pizza yet, but I have heard they are more NY style. Which is perfect for me considering I am from NY and worked in a few pizzerias while I lived there. Looking forward to trying that soon.
There wasn’t more than 5 table occupied while we were there, but the service was a bit slow. Our server was very sweet, but I’m a little nervous to go back when it’s busier. I’ll give it a second try and update the review with my findings.
Claimed my free Unilocal cannoli while we were there. Hard to find a NY style cannoli, but they hit the nail on the head. Yummm.

Had the Rocco paste and salad for lunch, disappointed with the meal. I would think a dish named after the restaurant would be their best dish, it was a let down. The sauce had no flavor, chicken was dry and there was only a spec of the so called ‘sausage.’ The best part of the meal was my salad. Maybe their pizzas are better?

Stay away… terrible food, terrible service, one of their employees threatened me (and apparently was later fired). That same crazy employee then started stalking me online.
It was super weird/​creepy.
The owner was also rude about the whole situation.

In October, we were able to hold a company function here and they easily supported 25 folks in their dining area to the left.
It was a great setup with an appetizer table and a main table for the pizzas. The staffed awesome and had no trouble keeping up with our drink and food needs.
The TVs were showing the game and it gave us in plenty of room to chat in groups.
I have no complaints about Rocco’s.

Stopped here out of convenience and really needing food.
Staff was friendly but I was hoping for the pizza to be a little more special.

I have mixed feelings about Rocco’s. I think they are a smoothly run operation and the owner is nice, but it just doesn’t compare to LA Gourmet down the street. The only advantage I can think of is that the stay open later on the weekends by one hour (4am).
The pizza will certainly satisfy any late night craving after a night of bar-​hopping, but overall, it’s kind of meh. It just doesn’t taste as fresh and I fear they may be using pre-​made ingredients. I will go to Rocco’s if it’s after 3 am, or if there is a really long line, else I am going down the street.

Great late night spot for pizza. The free cannoli is cool but meh.
This is no NYC thin crust pizza if you are an east coaster or true New Yorker!!! The pizza here are extra cheesy (too cheesy).
I’m soo picky about my pizzas so this would not be my regular spot — but it is an upgrade from Pizza Hut.
