Horrible service. Guy who answered phone put me hold without asking, didn’t come back. Called back after waiting a few minutes on hold, same guy answers and smarts off by saying I was only hold for a few min, then puts me on hold again. I’m only calling back to give them one more chance, call back, same guy. Same bad attitude, gladly told me 1 hour until pizza ready. First time, def last time ever

So so so so so so good. Greasy, yumminess that is 100% worth the wait. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The pizza here is great! The slices are huge and the ingredients seem fresh. I docked a point, however, because of the service. We had a big group of people and while that can be difficult in a place as small as this, the person behind the counter seemed to be angry just at the fact that we were there. It also took an incredibly long time for our pizza to come out(we got the huge one) but the food is definitely very good!

Biggest pizza in Texas. And yes it’s good better take a group or a hell of an appetite to eat one. Just one slice is like a medium pizza. Lol. Yes it’s huge

Pizza as big as yo face… actually it’s bigger. Tasty. Really tasty. They sell by the slice. Good place when you’ve had a few beers. Must try!

Serious pizza has some of the best pizza in Dallas! The sizes you cannot get anywhere else(if you can let me know). My only complaint is the seating needs to be expanded. When it is busy you have to stand up and wait and it is not always clear if you will get a table or not.

If you’re looking for a huge, massive slice of pizza, look no further. They don’t call it Serious Pizza for no reason! Your typical pizza joint atmosphere with sports on each TV. Seating is a bit difficult to find since there are about 8 – 10 booths and some bar/counter top seats. I came in HUNGRY and was able to finish 1 ½ slices of Deluxe myself. The dough was thin and crispy but not to the point where all of the toppings were sliding off when you picked up the slice. Pizza was still foldable and enjoyable. Toppings were fresh and just the right amount — not too little and not too much. Soft drinks are included with each order, and their new soda machine is legit! 4 stars for the pizza minus 1 star for not enough seats.

The pizza gets a 5 star. Some of the best pizza I have had. I also like how you can buy by the slice. They are also open late. The issue I had was with the lady cashier. She took my order wrong and had the wrong ingredients. As soon as I got the pizza I told her it was wrong. She then tried to argue with me saying she heard what I said and I was wrong. Finally the guy making the pizza said no problem and asked how it was supposed to be. He made it perfect. Besides the cashier it would be a 5 star review.

First time in Dallas and found serious pizza on Unilocal and thought I’d give it a try… hip little dive atmosphere with not much room. The price is really good. I got one slice special and drink for $ 5.00 but the slice was like 2 – 3 normal slices put together… was huge. The ingredients were fresh even though they were out of mushrooms that day. The dough is thin which I do like but the cheese wasn’t really melted enough just looked liked chunks of cheese. I like my pizza cooked a little longer. The sauce was average. Would I come here again… probably not but was worth the try.

Wow! Someone suggested this place to us, as I had never heard of it before, and the pizza is fantastic. We ordered an extra large cheese pizza and it was enough to leave our group of 6 with full bellies. Yes, the pizza is big. More importantly it’s very tasty as well. This is such a nice place to hang out with your friends while you tackle the food. A great experience overall.

I came in starving and nooo idea that to sit down is supposed to be first come, first served but that was not the case for me I had my two little girls w me, a teenager and her mom who I begged to go try this place for the so called«the best»” and huge pizza. People arriving wouldn’t even wait for the other parties to finish eating and get up, they would go and tell the people sitting”” hey can we have your table when your done? But then they would stay next to that table until the people was finish eating… Not even getting up from the table, and everyone standing seemed very pushy. So I waited an hr and finally had a gentleman come to me and said I could have his table that he noticed how other people were being rude and just not waiting for their actual turn. Also the ladies restroom oh my god … Please have a strong stomach!!! it sticks and it looks disgusting… Very very dirty! As of pizza flavor well it was not what I expected it’s good but not good enough for me to go back. I’ve had better actually!

Best. Pizza. Ever. Well, maybe… I haven’t actually tried every pizza ever made, but this is certainly the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. I love the neighborhood, and I especially love that it’s open until 3am on weekends. A huge slice of amazing, greasy, pizza-y goodness is perfect after a long night of carousing. I do wish the place was bigger and the wait time shorter, but it is undoubtably worth the wait.

I really wanted to like this pizza but it was just«meh.» Saw them doing the whole NY stretching the dough and tossing it but then got a bit grossed out as I saw ‘rookie’ dough throwers having dough land on their shoulders, their jacket sleeves, hitting rim of their hat and landing on hairy forearms. Yuck! And you’re going to serve me that once it’s cooked? No thanks. Ordered a large pie and size was impressive. But cheese and sauce tasted off. Sauce is a garlicky basil sauce that tastes canned or store bought. Not the sweet fresh tomato pop you get in true New York pizza. But then again, I’m not in New York. I can see the appeal of this place –and the reason for such high ratings– after a long day of drinking in Deep Ellum. But for me, the pie’s flavor was lacking.

On a Sunday evening, my boyfriend and I decided to check out the hype of Serious Pizza. My love of pizza is never ending and anytime I can find a new spot to eat is a plus. First thing, the place wasn’t all that clean. I’m not sure if they didn’t have time to recover from the tables turning over. All you saw was half eaten pizza crust, crumbs, napkins and drinks at the bar and at some tables. So that was not very appealing to the eye. The atmosphere overall is a combination of a hipster dive spot. Chalkboard written menu, worn bar stools, graffiti restroom and etc. While we’re on the restroom let’s talk about it for a moment. HOLYCOW! I really needed to use the restroom but when I walked in. I walked immediately out. It was not clean at all. Also, where it is located is enough to second guess if you’re in the right place. Goodness! So between the cleanliness of the restaurant and the restroom would have been enough for me to say let’s go! SN: To be fair the place was extremely packed for a late Sunday evening. Not one to give up so easily. I was determined to make this shit work. So we kindly moved the items out of the way until someone could clean the table. I decided to hold my pee.(yes, TMI but whatevs). Once that was taken care of it was time to order some damn pizza. The team working were really nice. Very knowledgeable about the menu and even offered up their personal favorites. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza and my boyfriend got the Deluxe Pizza. I must say that even to the lack of cleanliness the pizza was pretty awesome. Just the right amount of chewy and crunchiness. Immediately all was forgiven. I no longer felt the need to escape. LOL! So let’s break this down: Cleanliness-1 Customer Service-4 Food-5 Overall rating: 3.3 hey I have to be real about.

So extremely overrated. Stars for the fact that it’s homemade and that they have some super huge size pizzas. Stars loss for the fact that the pizza wasn’t even good when I was drunk. I left here craving some dominoes pizza. I thought something was wrong with me because I’ve heard so many folks recommend this place. Serious Pizza seems to have big name around town, but I don’t know why. Also, I don’t recommend eating inside the restaurant. It’s a divey kind of place and really small so there’s hardly ever enough seating and the place can get super packed! Overall, it just wasn’t good to me and I know this is not a pizza spot I will frequent.

this is definitely one of the best slices of pizza in the metroplex… Good New York-style pizza, but with Texas-sized slices. I kid you not, the slices are mad big. You can customize your pizza how you wish and they’re at surprisingly good prices for what you get~ and did i mention, it’s definitely one of the best slices of pizza in the metroplex. Cheese pizza slice~ huge slice of cheese. What I like about New York-style pizza is that it is thin yet not crusty hard, but rather a good thin softness in texture. I also ordered a pineapple and ham slice~ The way they go about it is you start with a cheese slice and add on whatever toppings you want. Again, it’s a big slice. They don’t skimp on the pineapple and ham and it tastes as good as you could ask for. Laid back and friendly place. However, I’m glad i came at a non-peak time(Thursday around 7:30pm) because I get the feeling that it can get quite busy and chaotic. And the way the set-up is(having to go to the counter and order off a menu with a lot of options and toppings), me thinks can be easily conducive to long lines and slow ordering. But still, Serious Pizza is serious and it’s one of the best-tasting slices of pizza in DFW, especially if you’re looking for New York style.

I love me some pizza, from New York style to tostinos! So when I was finally down in this area I decided to try it out. You can order the large pizza or by the slices. Everything is freshly made n made to order. Which is a good thing and a bad thing, you can either be waiting a long time or not. I ordered two slices and waited about an hour 15. The trick here is to order on the phone n pick it up later I believe! It was some damn good pizza and huge! I would Come back but after I ordered by the phone. Seating here is a little small but it’s pizza eat it on the curb!

You have to go just for the experience. Warning: There will probably be a line. This is basically a dive bar that serves pizza. Huge pizzas at that, but they stay open late… like a bar! There was a line when we arrived, but that allowed us to decide what we wanted… and marvel in amazement at the large pizzas that the tables were noshing on. We decided to go with a medium combination, which fed 3 adults, with 2 slices to spare. The staff were nice and happy to be there. I liked watching the guy man handle the huge balls of pizza dough. It was impressive. Once we placed our order, we were told that there would be a 45 minute wait… Okay, okay. Obviously this stuff takes time. The good side is that it gave people time for a table to free up. When your pizza is about to come out, the server will bring plate and forks. When it arrived it was really good. The crust was perfect, the sauce was not to overbearing, and there was a nice amount of cheese. For those on the hunt for NY Style pizza, you will like it. It is not quite the same… kind of a Dallas/Deep Ellum twist I would say, but that is part of the charm. We eyed some pretty huge pizza boxes leaving the building. It would be a fun option/conversation starter for a party for sure. Definitely worth trying out at least once. I would place an order to go again for sure.

A grungy joint with great slices, usually stop by after a night out at the bars. The novelty here is the size of the slices. Slices are huge… I can usually fill up with 1.5. The service is really just average. Sometimes it takes forever to get just one or two slices. The décor is pretty interesting inside with a lot of witty/sarcastic humor sprinkled around on signs and stickers. It has a typical Deep Ellum hipster vibe. I guess I’m just over this trend, personally, but it’s a good place to visit at least once.

Finally got here tonight after months of wanting to try this place. It’s just a no. Don’t waste your time. Servers are rude as all get out and that’s enough said.
