Silver Moon Factory

Located just off of Harry Hines in one of the many strip malls that sell jewelry, handbags, clothing, stores that do cell phone repairs, etc. you will find the hidden gem that is Silver Moon. Walked in and was greeted by two very friendly ladies. I was asked if I was looking for anything imparticular-«No, just shopping, shopping!» — and then I was asked who I was buying for — hmmm…“Me.” — …then I was told I would receive 25% of my entire purchase! Huh?! Then I discovered that Silver Moon sells to wholesalers, but warmly invites individuals to shop in their store.
Costume jewelry heaven! Aisles and aisles, from floor to ceiling, packed with all things a gal could possible wear… or want to wear! Two long rows with nothing but bracelets: cuffs, bangles, elastic!!! An entire mile filled with earrings of all varieties: studs, feathers, silver, gold, stone!!! Oodles and oodles pf necklaces: long, short, super blingy, super simple… and one entire area dedicated to all sorts of Texas university gear: UT, A&M, Baylor!!!
If I had more time (& money) I would’ve bought half the store. No, not really because it wouldn’t fit in my car. ;) This place is HUGE! And the prices… even before the 25% off self-​shopper discount… are fantastic! Nearby Sam Moon (and their other locations) cannot compete with the selection or prices at Silver Moon. Never again… unless I’m in need of some fake hair, cheap sterling silver or in the mood to fight the crowds and be treated borderline rudely by the staff.
I must add that the customer service at Silver Moon is unparallelled too! No eyeballing you like your going to steal those $ 2 pair pf earrings, very helpful and patient employees, and when I walked to the counter to checkout they ask me if I wanted anything to drink… a bottle of water… thanks!!! they rang me up, placed all of my inexpensive, yet lovely, finds in a cute silver shopping tote bag with the business name on it… not a generic white plastic shopping bad, tied in a knot, with the receipt stapled outside. Merp.
How has Silver Moon been in the same location for 10 years and I never knew about it?! Maybe because nobody ever took the time to write a Unilocal review. Hmmm… hope you enjoy the bounty! I know I did… and will be back for more! Happy shopping! :-)
