Smoothie King

The owner of this location needs to take customer service 101. I purchased a container of Sun Warrior vanilla protein powder and it taste terrible. I do think there is something wrong with this batch because before purchasing this container I purchased 3 sample packets of this same protein, which you can verify by looking at my app purchases. All 3 sample packets tasted great so I went ahead and bought a container. I returned this morning asking for a refund due to the terrible taste. The lady at the counter called the owner David to advise of the return. He told her that he would take my information and contact sun warrior to see what they could do for me. I told the lady that I didn’t feel this was fair as I purchased the product from Smoothie King not Sun Warrior and smoothie king should refund my money and then they should contact Sun Warrior to discuss credits between the two businesses. The lady called the owner back and handed me the phone. The owner David advised me he couldn’t maintain a business if he returned products just because someone didn’t like it. I tried to explain to him that I had purchased several sample packets that tasted much different and thought this batch might be off. David refused to listen to me and refused a refund. I then asked him for a regional contact number. David told me I could find it online. I then told him how disappointed I was in him and this location because I go in there quite often. I told him that I would be writing reviews on review apps about this location. He replied «what a mature decision» and hung up on me.
I then wrote down my name and number for the lady at the counter and left. About 5 minutes later I got a call from a local phone number. I answered and David said «can you give me the lot # on the container?». I asked who was calling and he said David. I said oh is this the franchise owner that hung up on me? He said yes, because you were yelling at me. I told him I was busy and had to go.
I then called Sun Warrior and spoke to Paige who said because I purchased through a third party they could not refund my money. She advised that Smoothie King could refund my money and Sun Warrior would credit them.
I am disgusted with how David, who represents Smoothie King treated me. This owner should have at least offered to exchange the product. I will never return to this location and maybe not return to Smoothie King ever again.

Not sure why this place got dinged for poor service. I’ve been in there 3 times in the last 6 months. Twice the owner has been in here keeping an eye on things then the other time service was even better than when I was being served by the actual owner. I would call this above average service. Beyond that, its the Smoothie King recipes and products you get from any in the chain. Good stuff.

Once you navigate the traffic on Forest Lane to get into the little center, the fun begins. I’m a big smoothie fan, especially of places like Jamba Juice or Whole Foods, where they use actual fruit to make the smoothies or juices. But as far as I can tell, Smoothie King just uses chemicals and lots of sugar to create their concoctions. Hint: they call it turbinado, like it’s something healthy, but all that means is tons of sugar. I went for one of their blueberry banana drinks, and they literally squirted some sort of blueberry liquid into the blender. I had asked for something healthy with berries, and this was the suggestion — really? I should have known since the staff didn’t look particularly healthy, in my opinion. Maybe it’s because they work at a place that sells drinks larded with sugar and chemicals? After paying a reasonable price, I looked around for a napkin. Call me crazy — they don’t have them! I had to go to the counter, where the obviously annoyed staff member sighed, then stalked off only to return with a single paper towel. Gimme a break — just how cheap is the owner of this place? Won’t be going back until they start using real fruit.

Take your business elsewhere! This location is empty because of the horrible service! They don’t accept their own coupons (even after they take the time to make your drink) and they are EXTREMELY rude to customers!

Love this franchise. Its always clean, workers are friendly & they’re never too crazy busy.

Its a smoothie king, you cant really go wrong. The guy that is usually there after my work out is friendly and funny. Never had a bad smoothie and overall great store. The guy knows the products unlike the smoothie king on mockingbird where the guy was puzzled when I asked about BCAAs. Their store brand protein I love and the wheatgrass is… wheatgrass.

I’m a fan of Smoothie King! When my office was in Oak Lawn I could walk to that location. Now I’m in Oak Cliff :(so I never see one around. So Saturday after a long day in the park with the kid, he says «Dad I want a smoothie!» So I popped on Unilocal for a Jamba Juice, but couldn’t find it even with Google Maps. That’s when Smoothie King came back to me. Found this place. .. good location. Young kid behind the counter very helpful as I try to keep my kid’s calories in check. He had a banana something and I had the cranberry supreme (Yummy!). Plus when you check in on your App you can have a free enhancer.
Yes, the service can be slow at time at these places because they usually have only one person working at any given time, but the product is worth it!

This place has horrible customer service. I travel a lot between Texas and California and usually can’t wait to get my hands on smoothie from this place. Let me preface by saying that I usually go to the smoothie king on Lower Greenville and get my fix but was in North Dallas and popped in to get a smoothie. Not sure what was up with the owner but he was more interested in telling some poor guy off who parked in the wrong spot then helping me with my smoothie.
I was in the mood for something different and inquired about the Fit n’ crunchy bowls when this guy was like, «Can you just order something already.» I was like, «Dude relax» I wanted to try something new, how criminal is that. After a few more words I was done. He actually told me to «Eff» myself. I thought the customer was important in business, guess not at this location. Life is too short to have to put up with rude/​mean people. I guess I need to stick with the Greenville location for «Usually» delicious smoothie.
Don’t waste your time at this place unless you like to feel bad or less than ordinary when you are enjoying your treat. FAIL

Yummy! Fresh! Booster options (protein, immune, etc)!
Just a tad too sweet for my taste. Other than that, very satisfying!

I’ve always been a fan of Jamba Juice but I must admit that I’ve been converted to Smoothie King. Awsome smoothies and the service is always great.

Love their Immune builder. It is strawberry and banana and with as much food that I consume of questionable nutritional value, I feel like the Immune Builder helps me even it out. The guy who helped me was also nice a quick. Parking was a little annoying because the shopping center was slammed that day but it turned out fine and I got a spot.

The owner here is very friendly and always know every answer to all my questions. I have tried so many of his suggestions I’ve lost count. The smoothie is always great. I have tried the wheat grass now that was interesting. The smoothie’s are always made a little thick which I prefer because too many locations make them very watery. I know if you don’t drink the watery version quickly it just doesn’t seem to have a great taste. I know that with a thicker smoothie I don’t have to completely stop down everything in my day just to hurry up and drink this before it begins to taste worthless. The store has been remodeled and it is always spotless.
The location always has great vitamins and protein powder for sale along with a large variety of bars. I love this location not much more to say then get your head right and get down there you can thank me later!

at this location: Smoothie King? More like Chunky King.

I walked into this Smoothie King clueless about what to get for my ailing husband (he was one of the lucky ones to get the flu). Because he had consumed very little over the past few days, I thought a smoothie would provide some nutrients he was missing. The employees at this location were super friendly and one was very knowledgeable. I think the other guy, while jovial, had not been working here very long as her referred all of my questions to the other employee.
Anyway, they recommended a smoothie for my husband and he drank the whole thing and was very satisfied. I, too, left with smoothie in hand and was very pleased. This location does need a little sprucing up… the menu looks like it is from 1985 and the setup is pretty uninviting with temporary shelving and products scattered about. However, for smoothies, they are right on track.
