Snow cones are delicious. They use an Aunt Stelles machine. If you grew up in Oak cliff or Duncanville you know what I’m talking about absolutely scrumptious

The knock out was more like a syrup party in my mouth! I ordered the dream sickle and the ice cream tasted like piña colada to me. I loved it! I ordered a small and it was plenty but I recommend getting it in a bigger cup so you have room to mix it all. I got a cup from a gas station and dumped my knockout in. I ate my treat with a constant giggle because it was just so good and so fun to eat.

Maybe«shaved ice» is different from a «snow cone» but the ice was chunky… Which I don’t like. The peach flavor was ok, but the cream was watery and not very«creamy» tasting. Also, it’s a sketchy location. I will be driving the extra few miles to go to SNO. They’re amazing.

You have to visit them. So many option you will never run out. My favorite is the coconut saved ice. I can’t wait for the warmer weather.

I had been having a craving for a Shaved Ice for WEEKS; so tonight I made it a point to find one. I looked here on Unilocal and saw a location in Garland. However I couldn’t find it, so I went to this location and… SCORE. I hadn’t had a Shaved Ice in almost 10 years and this one took me back to my childhood. Now, knowing where it is, how close it is to my house and best of all… Cost; $ 2.50 for a large, and the large is LARGE. Worth the Quarters, worth the fuel, worth the drive. I WILL be back… SOON

I’ve been coming to this location for years. I usually get the small since I never finish the medium. My favorites include cherry and grape combo, tigers blood, Piña colada, peach, watermelon, and green Apple. Sometimes they have featured flavors posted that aren’t always avaliable.

I LOVESNOWCONES Before I moved away from Dallas, I drove a good 30 minutes several times a week to go to TC Shaved Ice. Ask for the N.O. style snowcone, shaved ice, or raspa(that’s what my family calls them). It is deliiiicious! Ice cream and ice saturated in syrup. Love.

Sugar-free shaved ice!(One flavor though, strawberry) A bit on the expensive side for smaller portions.

as good as any sno ball I’ve ever had, super cheap, fast and from friendly, helpful kids. The end.

I love Dallas but it is a hot city. stupid hot… insane hot and nothing cools one down like a shaved ice. If you come with a yuppy attitude like some other reviewers you might not get it. This place offers dirt cheap super delicious high quality shaved ices super fast. This is a simple drive up operation with two windows and a couple of pick nick tables. Keep it simple and order shaved ice and don’t sweat that you are not going to get a BS happy wait person. This is not TGI Fridays. The operative things here are cheapness and quickness. The largest sized of shaved ice costs 2.50, the smallest us 1.75. It’s .50 for cream and it all comes out quickly. It is cash only and open for a large section of the year. Be sure to ask for a straw as it does not come standard and I suggest parking and eating most of it your car as eating one of these while driving is a great distraction.

Awesome snow balls. Besides Aunt Stelles in Oak Cliff and my spots back in New Orleans this is in my top three for snow balls, sno cones, shaved iced or whatever you want to call .them.

Yeah, was thinking a snow ball sounded good today and had heard about this place. A little wary based on one of the recent reviews but figured I’d give it a chance. Decided to call and make sure they were open(most shaved ice places are seasonal and don’t necessarily have standard hours). Punched it up on Unilocal.Dialed the number. Disconnected. Fail.

Okay, so it’s hot in Texas. Let me reiterate … it is ‘boil your skin off and find out what you smell like when you’re cooking’ hot! That is why places like this exist. They don’t exist to be pretty, or impress you with customer service. They exist to offer shaved ice in an array of flavors that cools you off from the inside out when you’ve started to die from heat exhaustion. Shaved ice is different from a sno-cone because it melts in your mouth much faster than a normal sno-cone. This means it cools you off faster too, which I enjoy! There are two drive-thru windows and they only take cash! Best place in Lakewood to cool down after working in the yard or going for a run!

My friend and I had just finished a grueling, sweat-in-the-eyes power walk(shut up, it was hot!) on White Rock Lake. I felt like a fried piece of bacon. The only thing I could think of was a cup of ice being poured over my head… or a Sno Cone. Yes, a Sno Cone would be lovely. I pulled out my handy-dandy Unilocal App and TC was only 3.4 miles away… drive on, driver! I am spoiled by Sno Beach in Austin. They have awesome flavors, and shady places to sit. However, I have to move on. I live in Dallas now. This squat, ugly little blue shack on Garland offers some fun flavors and decent shaved ice. It is by no means the«melt in yo mouth,» but it’s good. Plus they have something called the T.C. Twister, which apparently is a scoop of ice cream in your cone, if you wanna go crazy loco! I got the small Leche for $ 1.75, plus 25 cents for cream. It was cinnamon-y. My friend got the strawberry. They also had your Pink Lady, Tiger’s Blood, and Wedding Cake standards. This place won’t knock your socks off, but it’s a snow cone for under $ 2. And it’s hot in Texas for like, nine months out of the year. I’m sold.

Congratulations, TC Shaved Ice! You have the distinction of being my first 1-star review. I didn’t grow up on TC Shaved Ice and therefore don’t have fond memories of being a kid and slurping the flavored goodness on a hot day. We had snow cones and it appears to be a completely different treat. That said, I’m still a kid at heart and don’t mind hopping on the shaved ice bandwagon a little later than everyone else. After seeing a Food Network show tooting the shaved ice horn, I realized that I have such a little hut right in my neighborhood! Woohoo! That’s where the good part ends. Here’s what happened: Teenaged Employee: *slides open window* Yeah? Me: Hi, my son would like a TC Twister and — TE: We don’t have that. Me: Oh, you’re out? TE: *sighs* No, we don’t have that. Me: Oh. *looks at sign to confirm that’s what I see* Ok. *finds out what else the boy wants* Make that a large Rootbeer Shaved Ice. TE: Ok. Me: And I’d like a Cherry Knockout with vanilla ice cream. TE: *rolls eyes* We only have Pina Colada ice cream. Me: Oh. *looks at sign again* Ok. Then I’d like a Pina Colada Knockout, please. She gives me our two cups, I give her $ 5.25 and we leave. I’m looking at my cup and it looks like I’ve only gotten ice cream. Let me reiterate that I’ve never had a shaved ice with ice cream in it so I have no idea what it’s supposed to look like. Is the shaved ice on the bottom? Maybe they do things differently here than on TV. *shrug* We get home and I investigate further. No shaved ice, just ice cream. And it’s not even good ice cream. Seriously, Blue Bunny could make better ice cream. I even took pictures so I could try and figure out where I went wrong with my order. If you figure it out, let me know. So, here’s my rundown: Not having advertised items: –1 star Employee with a shitty attitude: –1 star Wrong order: –1 star Not worth the expense or effort: –1 star You may be an East Dallas institution, TC, but you suck in my opinion.

Oh Goodness. This place is the place to go on a beautiful day or anytime! They have so many different flavors and their shaved ice is so good. It’s not like a slushie from 7 – 11, but the texture of it is so much smoother. On top of serving shaved ice they also serve what Hispanics also like to eat, elotes. Elotes come in a cup and it’s filled with corn that is usually roasted with different seasonings such as butter, chile powder, chile sauce, Parmesan, sour cream, mayo, salt, and pepper. It’s worth a try.
