Horrible service and customer service I placed an online order that had given these employees 25mins rather than the usual 5 min at a drive up window and even then they were able to mess up and forgot items in a very simple order. I called to let them know we were missing our drinks and our guacamole and our nachos were made with the wrong cheese and the lady on the phone said«so you want us to remake your burritos» ??? I mean where does that even come up in our convo and how is that even solving my solution. Taco cabana employees get your life’s together if you don’t want to work at a place you don’t like then don’t but don’t take your emotional problems on paying customers. Get it together!!!

Today, I made a horrible decision. I wanted quick breakfast and didn’t want«fast food» like McDonald’s. Now I’m longingly staring out the window of TC, admiring the patrons of the McDonald’s next door. If it were humanly possible to remove this last measly star, I would. For you. Because you deserve to know this is not a place you should ever find yourself in. I just wanted two breakfast tacos and coffee. I got half a cup of coffee because«that’s all they had made.» I got charged for extra tacos by a confused and untrained employee at the front. She asked my adorably patient fiancé 6 times what he wanted, because she couldn’t find it on the menu. I can’t even finish this review, because I need to pray for the employees and customers of this TC. Even the orange stripes of the whataburger down the street are luring my heart away from these tacos.

Don’t come here. We wanted a quick Mexican style breakfast but were served horrific service, half-filled coffee cups paired with kids that don’t fit, a dirty lobby and dumb cashiers. The girl at the register didn’t know anything, granted, she said she was new… She had to ask the poor tortilla maker man to help press buttons on the screen when I ordered the ranchero breakfast. My fiancé ordered the breakfast taco combo and he helped do her job for her by pressing more buttons with tortilla dough in his hand. She never asked our drink orders, not even with the he combo that supposedly comes with a drink. My fiancé wanted a coffee, so I spoke up. She handed us the receipt after 3 failed swipes of the credit card because I presume she didn’t know to press the«total» button. Forgetting to bring our coffee, my fiancé asked, «um, coffee cups?» So she walks to the back & poured us coffee that was half-full and said they are«trying to make more.» Upon reviewing the receipt, we were charged the taco combo as well as an extra taco. After sitting down at the only clean table and laughing about our current predicament inside this shell of a Mexican restaurant, the incompetent cashier walks over and asks if I how I want my eggs on the ranchero breakfast because, I quote, «we ran out of sunny side eggs.» To which I reply, «how do you run out of eggs?» It’s 10 in the morning. At this point I just want food inside of me. We’re never coming back and my hatred for taco cabana continues. Writing this review is the only solace I received from this mistake of a Saturday. This place should get no rating at all. Bad service, long wait, kitchen looked unorganized and I noticed the staff did not wear protective food service gloves. Waited 10 minutes in line and then waited another 30 minutes for our food. I think this location should be closed or hire a whole new staff to run it. Never, ever will I go back.

Zero stars, if I could. Me & hubby drove straight thru to Dallas from California. After arriving in town around 3am we had to find some fast food to eat near our room. Since we don’t have Taco Cabana there we regretfully decided to try that instead of our typical late night option of Jack in the box. The beans were so dry & crusty that they were inedible. All the shells and tortillas were just as stale as the employees’ attitudes who took our drive thru order and collected our money then gave up this crap ass food that they would not hardly eat themselves. Maybe Taco Cabana is decent as a whole but the location on Plano Drive has blown the chance at my repeat business.

Worst restaurant I’ve ever been in, first of all there was a guy there touching the salsa bar with his bare hands I didn’t see him wash his hands or have gloves on. He cleaned the area around the soda dispenser and used the same paper towels he cleaned the dispenser with to clean the salsa bar as well. He would mix the salsas and as some fell on his hand he licked it off and continued to mix the rest of them. There was packets of cream by the soda dispenser and he just started drinking them. Grabbed a couple receipts that were on the floor and put them in his pocket. As well has having a lit cigarette on his ear. For my order it took them 35 minutes to give it to me and once I got it all my food was cold. NEVER going there again!!!

Really, Taco Cabana? You charge $ 1.19(or any amount) for this measly amount of chips? I can practically count them on one hand. Next time, I’ll just go to Taco Bueno. Went here today to find out i couldnt get in! The doors were locked with a few people iin the lobby and a sign on the door saying something about lobby closed till they get more workers. REALLY ! its Sunday around 5:40 thet are supposed to be open. This is ridiculus! I caught a bus here just for the 4.99 taco plate and i cant get in and i was forced to eat Taco Bell since im already out and they are across the street and OPEN! Im disappointed in Taco Cabana today LOL i was really want thier food! I guess we need to call ahead to see if they have enough workers to open that day(((shrugs))).

I love Taco Cabana! This location is the worst ever! I always go through the drive through and I get nines every single time. Everything is always wrong, I don’t get utensils, napkins, salsa, part of the order, etc. Today was no different. I asked for four red and four green salsa, the guy at the window hands me two green and says there is more in my bag. I get home and there are only two and they’re both green! Am I not allowed to have salsa?! If I go inside I could have all I want, why can’t I have enough when I’m using the drive through? And the look he gave me when I asked for more, you’d think I was asking for gold or something. I pay $ 7.50 for a meal that doesn’t even come with a freaking drink and I can’t have enough yummy salsa to go with my food. If I had ordered one taco I can see how asking for that much salsa might constitute an odd look but I got the sampler platter and it comes with a lot of food. Also on today’s meal my enchilada was a brick! I couldn’t cut it, bite it off or chew it at all! It was so over cooked it had petrified. AND my meal was supposed to come with two tortillas and I got none! More than seven dollars for a meal with tax and you can’t give me the whole order. This location is just one big mess up. I have decided I can never use this location again… ever. It’s just really not that difficult to get this stuff right, at least some of the time. UPDATE: I have called six times since my visit earlier today and every single time the phone rings for a bit and then I am hung up on. Are you kidding me?! Next call is corporate.

Let me start by saying I love Taco Cabana. I live in Addison and eat at that location a couple times a month, always great, no complaints. I unfortunately work over on Forest and Plano Road, so this was my location. I went over lunch and it takes me all of 1 ½ min to get there from my office, I pull up to drive thru, there are only 2 cars in front of me. I order rather quickly after the second car pulls forward. 2 Chicken Flautas Meal Deal, with a side of salsa and onions, $ 4.99. Dirt cheap. Couple flautas, scoop of guac, rice and beans, 2 tortillas and small soda. It takes me 15MINUTES, literally, to get to the window. I could see not 1 but BOTH cars in front of me have to give back their bags and wait. I couldn’t drive away by being stuck in the drive thru lane, and by this time there are 4 – 5 cars behind me and a 1⁄3 of my lunch break over. Finally pull up to the window, no «hi», just grabs my card and shoves a drink at me. Then about 4 min later, I am given my bag. I can tell there is no salsa and onions, I pop open the box to see it is some nasty looking enchiladas, I tell the girl and she looks at me like I had just started speaking Swahili. By this time its been TWENTYMINUTES, so I say, «whatever I will take it, can I at least have my onions and salsa.» She slowly walks away and comes back with 1 onion, 1 gross looking salsa. WHATEVER. I take off, get back to my office, about 30seconds this trip bc of the green light. Get inside, NOEFFINTORTILLAS!!! I debated on calling to have them refund me for the JOKE of a drive thru experience, but decided I had wasted enough of my life dealing with this establishment and the dense staff. Thanks for wasting half my lunch break and giving me garbage in a box. Only thing that was right was the Dr. Pepper. Pathetic.

This restaurant made me feel uncomfortable as the staff stared at me as if I was unwanted. I felt discriminated against and I will never return considering the dirty looks I was getting from the staff I was afraid to eat my food for fear of what they might have put in it. That is my main complaint with this restaurant of course there are other things like flies and they were completely out of cilantro and green salsa and most of the stuff looked like it had been frozen and then rethought including onions which were supposed to be on a fresh salsa bar overall it was gross.

If I could have given this location ZEROSTARS, I would have! I decided to go hear instead of my normal Park Lane location, but I won’t do it ever again! It all started in the drive-thru. I saw a car at the microphone about to place his order, so I got in line behind him. I waited for him to move up for what seemed like over ten minutes, but he never moved. I backed out, and when I did, he quickly backed out, and drove off. I went in. I asked the employees if something was wrong with there drive-thru, and they said no. Okay… I went ahead and placed my order. After I did, I noticed two other people who looked like they’d been waiting for their food for a while Not good!. A few moments later a man came from the dinning room to find out why he hadn’t received his food yet. The employee said, «Oh, you never got your food? What did you order? He just shook his head, and repeated what he ordered. Really? I knew then I probably should have gone elsewhere! I tried to stay patient. As I looked around I motioned over to the Salsa Bar! EEW! This was it for me! Notice the picture I posted! I went back to the counter, and politely asked for my money back! Every employee here, including the manager, needs to be retrained in food handling, and customer service!

First off I really enjoy Taco Cabana’s food every once in a while! This was my first time at this location and it was not a pleasant one. We ordered two salads, a burrito, and two taco combinations. When we arrived to the window the girl at the window had looking away from us and had her hand sticking out of the window waiting to be paid… talk about rude! Not a hi or thank you for choosing taco cabana… NOTHING! We said«excuse me miss» and handed her the cash for our meal and then she closed the window(without saying anything) and walked away. When she got back, she forgot our change, salsa we specifically asked for, our drinks and two of our burritos. We explained all that to her and she had a crappy little attitude and closed the window. We eventually got our food and drinks, but I had to go inside to get our salsa. I will most definitely not be going to this location again.
