I ordered a Carne Asada burrito with nothing but sc, guac, and cheese… U got a blob of disgusting lettuce, tomatoes, and a tiny meat! Took one bite and almost spit it out. I would go back and try to exchange it but I’m pretty sure they would mess that up too!

I ordered 6 steak tacos and I can honestly say that I was less than impressed. The piled on tons of cilantro(way to much for my liking) and the meat was extremely dry and rubbery. I had to douse them in sour cream and hot sauce to get them down. I think I’ll take a break from this place for a while.

In a gas station strip mall, not that that makes the food bad, but the meth heads sitting against the fence turned our group away before we ever got close. Work with you landlord and police to clean up you business and maybe I would consider it.

I had to control myself and limit my visits to every other day. They should have rehab, a 12-step program to wean you off of these kinds of places. I’ve been to a lot of Taquerias in north Dallas, and this one is easy to miss: behind a gas station, next to a convincnene store. A sad crowd of Mexican day laborers near the curb waiting to be picked up for work. But you go inside, and you know that if you like your Mexican food Mexican you’re in the right place: the main language of the menu is Spanish, not english. TV is tuned to hispanic station. Jesus is well represented in the décor. The cooks are well-fed motherly types. They take your order in Spanish. Order the barbacoa tacos with everything. Splurge for the flour tortillas. If you’re lucky you’ll meet the boss, a vaquero with Elvis sideburns, boots and a 10-gallon hat.

Too many years have kept me from really enjoying good Mexican food. A brief stay in North Dallas has me catching up on what’s been missed. It’s easy to miss this place tucked in beside Motel 6 and a c-store. Do stop in. Friendly staff makes you very welcome and not going hungry or unsatisfied. We drank horchata and pineapple specials. Them ate six different tacos before giving the excellent sopas al gusto a try. All wonderful choices. A couple of regulars strongly recommend Cubanas, a Mexican with«everything».
