The overall physical appearance would not appeal to many. However, the food is as authentic as it gets. The owners are from Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, which is evident by the soccer paraphernalia on the walls. One downside, the wait for the food is longer than at other«taquerías». And it doesn’t help that the stale chips and half cup of beans you munch on are an added extra cost after the first serving. However, the food is really good. Staff is pretty friendly. They’re all Spanish speaking. Edit: Don’t expect to the waitress to check on you – not that it’s her fault. There’s usually only one waitress for the whole place. And I’m assuming they quit after a while because there’s a new girl every time I go(which is often). The place has really gone down.

If it wasn’t for the condition of the place, it would get five stars from me. Once you see the spot, you are going to wonder how the food could possibly be that good. Go ahead, walk in, and order the fajita tacos. I would gladly take the Pepsi challenge with these tacos against any others in the city. I have had almost everything on the menu, and it is all really good, but the beef tacos have nailed down rave reviews from everybody I have let try them. Thin slices of marinated beef and very little fat are the secret. Pour a little of the hot guac sauce over the top, add some cilantro and onion, and you really can’t go wrong. I have only eaten in once, it is a pretty small dining area and not recommended if your aiming to impress. I always just order out. Really nice people run the place. You need to be bilingual, have an interpreter, or not mind doing the«pointing to the right spot on the menu thing» if you dont speak espanol.
