Very authentic tacos and good quality meats! Probably the best hole in the wall taqueria around. And the tortillas are fresh and homemade too. The only drawback is the strip mall that it’s located in. Super sketchy with loitering out front.

This is a solid taco joint, wedgied between a pair of liquor stores in the strip on Skillman just south of Abrams. If it were not for this taco place, I would have never parked in this lot. Like, ever. Tacos: tasty, served with flair on a plate with a baby salad of radish slices. Lengua is not on the menu, but is available upon request. Tripa and chiccaron are on the menu. All three are quite tasty, my faves. Ambiance: colorful and spartan, much like sister restaurant Latin Deli. Service: Reserved, and reciprocal friendly, if you reach out first. They gave me a taste of their warm strawberry milk sitting in a big pot on the flat top, when I inquired what it was, exactly :) If you’re an authentic taco fan, check it out. It is in the same zip code as La Banqueta, quality and value-wise, to my taster. I returned here today, about 10 months after my initial visit– lengua tacos are now on the menu, and I enjoyed the meat in my lengua, cabeza, and tripa tacos more than my first visit. the hand made masa tortillas are divine, and the boraccho beans rock, smoky and delicious(except for the sliced hot dogs in it, odd). Bumping review to 5 stars, accordingly, my new favorite taco joint in the whole city.

This place is a solid 4 stars. It is a very modest taco joint, a dive really, but the food is the real deal. It’s exactly the type of place you would find in Mexico, TVs playing and all. There are only 5 small tables and the restaurant is the size of a small studio apartment. But it is family run and when I was there it looked like a grandmother, mother, and daughter were working together over the stove. They make authentic, delicious real deal Mexican, not Tex-Mex by any stretch. My taco plate was delicious. I started with a small cup of bean soup and the broth was perfect – deep flavor but not too salty. The chicken was cooked to perfection, not dry or tough, and marinated to a wonderful flavor. The green sauce is incendiary but delicious. The rice was fluffy and moist. Prices are extremely reasonable. This place is a hole in the wall but I wish them all the success and I will do my part by returning often. A real find IMO.

Great customer service and great tacos! Just wish they were a little bigger. I also didn’t know they were owned by the Latin deli right down the road.

This is a very small place but the food is big in flavor. The corn tortillas are made right before your eyes so it really can’t get any fresher than that. Reasonably priced and very cute on the inside. Check it out!

From the people who brought you Latin deli just a few minutes away. Personally talked to the chef/owner and he explained his concept which you can tell was well thought out and meticulous on the menu. Overall thought is was executed well, simple take on tacos done right. Al pastor and fajitas were my choice, both good, preferred the al pastor, my brother raved about the taco with chorizo. Home made tortillas are excellent which increase the quality of the tacos. Great customer service I will point out.

Another average street taco shop that’s slightly sketchy and lacks any positive ambiance. I don’t understand the hype.

Pretty good tacos, some options you don’t always see — everyone has puerco al pastor and chicken, but these guys also have chicharrones, lengua, tripa, and cabeza. We tried a good variety, the puerco al pastor, cabeza al vapor, chicken, chicharron, and the fajita marinada. I was not impressed with the al pastor, it was too sweet for my taste, even though it’s supposed to be a little sweet. The chicken were dry and not the best. I loved the chicharron, but mostly because I don’t get them often. The cabeza al vapor was nice and soft and melted in my mouth. It’s worth a try, don’t be scared, the cheeks and tongue get soft and delicious when steamed — my wife had no clue that’s what she was eating. Even though I live nearby, this is a rough micro-neighborhood. I thought twice about parking there, with all the gentlemen hanging outside the liquor/convenience stores on both sides. Overall, the food was good, but I would never say the best tacos I’ve had, even in the area.

I’ve been meaning to try this place since it opened. I love Latin Deli, so I knew that Taqueria Latina would be great, and it lived up to my expectation. The tacos were tiny but filling. I got a pastor, rajas con queso, and a fajita. The first two were my favorites. The tortillas are homemade, and the tacos had a great combination of flavors. The people I were with got a campechanos torta and a chicken fajita. They both raved about them and they looked delicious.

This is the classic ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’. From the outside, it looks sketchy as it rests in an old, rundown strip mall. Fortunately, the wonderful smell on the inside validates a meal here. This is far better than average Mexican — at Taco Del Mar, Taco Bell and Del Taco prices. You’ll be impressed with every bite and more excited when you see tortillas made by hand and all meats cooked up after being ordered. This is the rare, hole in the wall Mexican joint where quality comes without an inflated price tag. Lunch or dinner can be consumed for cheap. Meanwhile, keep in mind, there isn’t a large menu. Upon arrival, you’ll find tacos, tortas and quesdaillas dominate. There’s no chips and salsa, gaucamole, etc. Instead, they focus on doing a few items well and do offer several meats including pork, chicken, steak, chorizo and others. There’s a red and green salsa that come in a bottle(no salsa bar). One of our favorite items was the juice, namely the melon, which is squeezed fresh and tastes incredible. While there’s a ton of similar and affordable taco spots nearby, few rival the quality you’ll find here. Keep in mind, this isn’t sit down service. There’s a few small tables to eat in, just enough for you to enjoy a few tacos and continue on with your day.

New favorite for authentic Mexican tacos. Today I braved the area(not the nicest place) and tried it out. I ordered three different tacos to get a variety and they were all excellent. I had the pastor, pollo marinado and the campechanos(no idea was it was). The campechanos was my favorite and the pastor was delicious as well. The pollo marinado was good and had pineapple in it, but the other two were my favorites. Red sauce: Awesome(if you like spicy). Green sauce: Awesome if you like your tongue. It’s been mentioned several times, but the tacos are small. Very cheap too, but if you’re a hungry guy, you’ll probably want 4 or 5. I got 3 and was still a little hungry. I will definitely venture back out there.

Omg what the hell happened to taqueria latina. these use to be some of my favorite tacos in dallas hands down. I came here today and it all went to hell. The Older Woman That Use To Cook Was Not Here Today And Holy Shit Was It Terrible. I use to make the drive all the way across town just for her perfect tortillas and tacos but never again. I’m sorry I hate having to write a bad review but it was just that bad all around. THE Tortillas Are Not THE Same. All the meats taste terribly different. Soggy al pastor. No love in the food at all. And they were out of fresh Aguas at 630 on a saturday. Cmon. The new staff sucks. I should have been smart and figured it out when I saw how dead it was compared to how busy it use to be. R.i.p. taqueria latina

Talk about one of the best Tacos in Dallas. As an El Paso TX native, finding a good Mexican Taqueria place or what we like to call in Spanish(changarro) in Dallas can be quite a challenge. This little hole in the wall restaurant made me feel like I was right at home. The place is small with only about four tables. The cooks and the cashier were kind and welcoming. I ordered Sirloin Tacos and Rajas,(green chile and cheese) tacos. Their tortillas are freshly made and flavorful. The tacos were superb. Their frijoles charros(charro beans) were done just right. I felt right at home, as if I was back in El Paso and Juarez eating at a Taqueria. They sell Mexican bottled coke so it’s like a true Mexican taco joint. Their tacos are small(very typical in Mexican Taco joints), so make sure you order plenty to fill your tummy. Their prices are inexpensive for what they are. You will NOT be disappointed in this Taqueria. If you want true Mexican tacos, this is the place.

And just like that, I have a new favorite taco place! I’ve eaten at perhaps a half dozen other taco places in the Dallas area, but these are the most authentic I’ve had. The tacos are small, but inexpensive at $ 1.27 each. The corn tortillas are handmade on the spot and are incredibly fresh. They do not have beer; soft drinks only. Love this place and will be back soon!

Top of my list for tacos in Dallas(or anywhere for that matter). As this was my first visit(discovered it has same owners as the nearby and totally awesome Latin Deli), I decided a throw-down with a few different options. After a brief consultation with cashier/cook, I decided to try the campechanos and the pollo marinado tacos, as well as the fajita quesadillas. After about a 15 minute wait(note: they make everything from scratch, so it takes a little longer; see: Deli, Latin) I was overjoyed with my choice! As I was feeding the family, I did get these to go, but next time I’ll sneak in for a quick lunch and experience the café(which, btw, is next to a very busy ‘discount’ liquor store). Of the tacos, the campechanos(a combo of beef/pork) were absolutely amazing… fresh tortillas(made in-house), savory and awesome. The pollo marinado tacos win the chicken taco of the year award! The quesadilla moved what I knew of a quesadilla into a new category of greatness — tender beef, gooey cheese — napkins mandatory. Can’t go wrong with this place, unless you expect to be served like you are going through the Taco Bell drive-through. If you want real, get here.

New favorite taqueria. Freshly made tortillas, thicker delicious tortillas for the quesadillas. I’ve tried most of the menu at this point and I can report that it’s all good.

I love these tacos and I keep going back for more. I especially like the fajita/chorizo mix, and the horchata is awesome. Dining inside is nice enough but sometimes I just pick the tacos up on the way home.

One of the few taquerias that make their own tortillas, and for my money, these are the best corn tortillas in Dallas. The interior is new and clean. It isn’t flashy or fancy(this is authentic, not uptown) but it is perfect for a taqueria. There are about a dozen stools along the wall and two small tables. The fresh, homemade tortillas are perfectly complimented by the delicious fillings hot off the griddle. The pastor, campechanos, chorizo chilango, and chicharon verde tacos were all a hit. The pollo marinado quesadilla was quite large. It was very flavorful with pineapple and spices like pollo al pastor. The owners/staff are very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back, and bringing friends.

This is a legit authentic Taqueria that was opened by the same amazing owners as Latin Deli(a mile away). I tried almost every taco and the pineapple chicken was my favorite. I did buck up and try the crunchy fried intestines which had a good flavor but I couldn’t mentally eat the whole thing knowing what I was eating. They’ve been open since September 2014 and they’re still sprucing up the décor but I can’t wait to come back and see them when they are finished!
