This place rocks my socks off. The venue is spacious and drinks prices are not ridiculous. Pay extra for VIP(usually only $ 10-$ 20 more) and you get a whole upstairs area with seating, VIP bar, VIP bathrooms and more dance space. People there were very friendly and outgoing. This place booked Hardwell and he put on an AWESOME show. Great acoustics. Great vibe. Good crowd. This place books great artists both popular and indie. My favorite venue in DFW.

This concert venue has been a platform for amazing shows. My first show here was in Summer 2015 with Purity Ring. Oh my goodness, they were amazing. I still have concert withdrawals to this day… And I think that since they were still quite underground, I was able to get to the middle/front and could really view the duo, as opposed to being stuck in the middle/back. It’s a blessing, because the floors are completely flat. No elevation whatsoever. Bummer to short gals like me… My second show here was G-Eazy(bae alert…) last night, and his show was sold out after a few hours of ticketing. Impressive, and it showed in the turnout. The line snaked around the whole Bomb Factory, and it took a whole 45 minutes for my friends and I to get our wristbands and check in. But we made it perfectly in time for the show openers. We were sort of in the back/middle, so I had a very hard time seeing anything on the stage. And my even shorter friend couldn’t see anything, so that sucks. VIP, here we come, next time. :P The venue itself is quite large, and the space is huge. The sound system was very great too, sooo much better than Lights All Night 2015 at the Dallas Market Hall. There’s another level up to the VIP section with seating, and they had a wicked view of the stage(total VIP envy). The bathrooms were pretty clean, and there’s a staff member who hands you paper towels after you wash your hands(interesting… Is that where part of my «service fees» go to?). There’s even benches in the very back wall of the standing area where some people were standing on to watch Gerald, which was a GREAT idea, for they had the view, AND could sit down when they were exhausted. The parking situation could be worse, and to be expected on a night of a show, $ 20 fees are charged almost anywhere in the vicinity of the venue, but be aware, I did find some $ 5 parking lots. But message me for where they’re at, if you’re interested. They’re like only 0.2 mi away from the Bomb Factory itself, so a bit of a walk, but I did that walk in the cold with my tall platform boots, so you can too. ;) Overall, TBF is a good place to be at, with dope artists always coming through when they tour in Dallas, TX. It’s a clean, cool vibe, and you’re bound to partake in some eccentric people watching. Man, Downtown Dallas is weird When It’s Dark Out…

I am rolling on the floor laughing at some of these Unilocal reviews. Some of the complaints are about the musical act they were going to see went on late. Let me fill you in on why your band went on after the time printed out on your ticket. Anyone who has ever seen a rock documentary knows that your band went on late because they are hung over(or worse use your imagination). There is some poor tour manager on the tour bus putting smelling salts under the lead singers nose trying to wake them up and funnel coffee down the prima-donna’s throat. That is why your musicians went on late. Fellow Unilocalers you are not allowed to blame the musical venue for the band’s tardiness. The only thing The Bomb Factory probably tells its acts is please be finished by 2:00AM because that is the latest we can sell alcohol. Rant Over! The time printed on our ticket said that the doors open at 7:30. In Rock and Roll terms that means your band will not go on until after 10:00PM. This was my first time to this venue so I was a little worried about parking. We lucked out by finding a metered spot right next to the building. Unfortunately we didn’t have any change on us so you are able to pay meters now with credit cards. We arrived at 8:30 and walked right in. We were starving and we lucked out. There was a tent on the patio selling bar b que. We had a very tender brisket sandwich. We ate and listened to the first opening act, Hibou. I was pleasantly surprised that they were actually a good INDY Band. There are three bars down stairs it never got more busy that 2 people deep. They had about 6 people manning each bar. The restrooms were very big for the size of the establishment. Bravo to the Bomb Factory for putting in tons of stalls. There was also a bathroom attendant inside passing out paper towels. The second band was Sarah Jeffe and she was so cool. I’m glad Metric brought a local act on stage and gave a homegrown act a chance to shine. Now down to the sound. Hats off to the sound engineers at this place. The sound quality is amazing. I could here every word Emily sang. There wasn’t any reverb or heavy bass. It was just pure entertainment! I was standing front row and was able to see Emily only a few feet in front of me. Then it hit me that there was not security standing between me and stage. That was odd? Usually several bouncers stand at the stage to keep people from rushing the stage. I guess that was not a concern. I was happy that they weren’t there to obstruct my view. It was a fantastic evening. I was able to see some really cool bands and get out of the burbs for the night.

The venue is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. They did a great job designing the bar areas so it was very easy access to drinks just about everywhere in the venue. Except maybe the center of the floor. Recently went to the Chvrches concert there and the sound was pretty good

A huge music venue, whose building dates back to the early 1900s, where Ford used to manufacture cars before it became an ACTUAL bomb factory! This was always a cool place to see bands back in the 90s, and it was sad when it closed down. So, it’s exciting to see the club’s successful rebirth! There’s not a bad seat in the place, excellent sound system, multiple bars throughout and the bathrooms are gigantic. Really, it’s what you want your concert going experience to be like all the time.

Thinking about going to an event hosted at the bomb factory? Well if where your event I s being held is part of your decision think no further. It’s been set up very well and a great space to go see a concert or to host an event. I have been to several during 2015 and have been impressed with all! TIP: second-floor balcony seating here is pretty cool and has his own bar upstairs as well. Enjoy! Your friendly A-List Concierge, Hopkins

Saw CHVRCHES last night. Here are a few impressions. Venue Facilities 2⁄2 — Nice, clean and open facilities. Nothing to complain about. Parking is available throughout Deep Ellum. Plenty of restrooms and places to grab a drink throughout the venue. One of the better concert venues in Dallas IMO. Venue Sound. 1⁄1 — The sound and bass were clean throughout the performance. Staff 0⁄2 — We were standing by the 2nd floor balcony next to the VIP bar area for nearly 45 minutes. The«VIP gatekeeper» didn’t ask us to move. The half dozen other staff members walking around didn’t ask us to move. However once the show started a «rotund» white woman started berating us and screaming at us to move. Apparently(after 45 minutes) we were suddenly«blocking the walkway». So we walked further upstairs. She then proceeded to follow us upstairs because we were still too much in this mythical«walkway» that must be cleared. I really have no problem moving elsewhere but I don’t care to be accosted by Paul Blart’s larger sister. I tend to respond pretty well when people ask nicely instead of angrily screaming in my face. The best thing would be to train the entire staff on making it clear where it is OK to stand. Avoidable situation if the staff is on the same page. Overall 3⁄5 — I would recommend going to a show here. Your mileage may vary on staff treatment depending on if you see a large, white bowling ball of rage rolling your way.

We saw CHVRCHES here on 11÷6÷15. Yeah, the show did start about 30 minutes late, so plan your night accordingly, I guess. It didn’t bother us that much. Sound quality was good, light display was AMAZING. We really had a blast. My favorite thing about this venue, though, and the thing giving it 5 stars is FREE balcony seating! We had an amazing view *and* I didn’t get stepped on once! Y’all, at the ripe old age of 27, I love concerts but hate the pushing and shoving. This venue just catapulted to the top for me. Would definitely come back. It’s a badass venue.

We did not have a good experience at bomb factory. The good: the venue is large and(for the time we were there) didn’t seem crowded. There were lots of people there, but the space is so big inside it didn’t feel uncomfortable. The bad: we were warned ahead of time that concerts there often didn’t start at their scheduled time. So we decided to get food and drinks first and show up late. For our show on Saturday, the doors opened at 7 for a concert at 8. We then found out from Twitter that there was an opening act going on at 830. Okay, minor inconvenience, but we could work around it. We bought tickets to the show so we could go early in the night and then meet our friends out afterwards. At this point we knew we probably wouldn’t want to stay for the whole show, but that was fine. We just wanted to see some music. At around 9:30 we left the restaurant and headed to bomb factory. To our surprise, people hadn’t even been let inside yet. There was a line about 2 and a half blocks long. We got in line, confused(thought doors opened at 7??) and waited. Shortly after they start letting us in and we get inside at about 10. We step inside and are again surprised by the fact that there is no music playing and no one on stage. We figured the opening act would be finishing up or least playing, but they hadn’t even started. Ok, we can wait. We’ll just get drinks, it can’t be THAT long. By 11 there was still no one on stage and no sign that anyone would show up. It’s a rare occasion that so many of my friends were out at the same time, and being in grad school, I don’t get to go out that much myself. We made the decision to leave. I spent $ 100 on our tickets and didn’t even see any music(not even the opener!!) I don’t know what happened. But I got invited to go see a show there next Thursday and decided against it. I just don’t have enough time to sit around at a venue for 4 hours waiting for a show to start. It was a disappointing night, and after speaking with friends who have been to other shows there, this has happened on other occasions as well. I hope they can figure this out, because it seems like a really nice venue.

Went here for Neon Indian, was the worst show I have ever seen in my life probably. The sound was absolutely awful, could not understand a word that was being spoken by Neon Indian. Not sure who is to blame here but going to split the blame 50⁄50 and will never be attending this venue or seeing Neon Indian live again. Also the guy who was hosting the show was awful and the worst host of all time. He had to constantly look at his phone to even know what he was trying to speak about. It’s sad that when a mediocre local Dallas rap group(The Outfit, TX) was better than Neon Indian. Sound was atrocious… ATROCIOUS, I’d rather hear NYC firetrucks all day long than hear what I heard at The Bomb Factory.

The place is big, has plenty of restrooms and bars, but the problem is the lack of attentive staff. My wife and I went to see Brand New. We got there early and had spots pretty close to the stage. We were fine through the opening acts, but when Brand New started, one guy near us started trying to mosh by himself, knocking over my wife and other women in the process. When I asked him to stop, he tried to pick a fight with me and myself and another guy had to pick him up and move him. He then came back and tried to pick a fight again and we had to leave to avoid a confrontation. All of this was obvious because no one else was moshing, but the event staff was nowhere to be found. I would say if you have to see a show here, pay extra for the balcony seats, because the staff won’t help if someone is trying to trample your wife.

So much room for activities! I want to listen to my music, and I want to dance. I don’t want to get herded into a small room or have to crowd by a pool in the middle of the day to hear my favorite DJs, and now I don’t have to. There’s still a warm spot in my heart for some of Dallas’s other EDM venues, but they really can’t hold a candle to the quality of bomb factory. The dance floor is giant. Plenty of balcony area. Multiple bars that aren’t too crowded. The most urinals I’ve ever seen in a bathroom in my entire life. Well enough air conditioned that you aren’t dying on the dance floor. It’s a venue that enhances rather than detracts from the music you love.

Came here to see Hardwell. There is parking right behind Bomb Factory but prices vary by event. It was $ 20 for us. There are free parking if you are fine with walking a longer distance. Line appeared LONG but it went so fast. Felt the event was organized and had a good flow. Venue itself was a good size. I didn’t get to check the upper level but lower level was packed. There is an outdoor area for smoking. Production was medicore, sound system was loud yet needed a bit more bump bump.

Great venue for concerts and other local events! First time here was to for Hardwell. It was chilly at first but we all definitely appreciated it later! Three large bars on the first floor and then seated areas for the upper deck. Bar tenders were great and quick to serve. They weren’t picky/choosey or let others skip ahead etc. We all had a great time! Def will come back!

Located in the heart of Deep Ellum, The Bomb Factory is going to give all other major music venues a run for their money. Spacious main dancing area? Check. Large VIP upper-level deck with seating and tables? Check. Great audio and visuals for all areas of the venue? Check. Lots of food options nearby to satisfy your hunger prior to the show? Check. As a fan of EDM music, I have had to frequent Lizard Lounge and South Side Ballroom, but The Bomb Factory is by far the best venue I have attended. My only gripe is the long waiting lines at the door and the service at the bar. There were Bomb Factory personnel throughout the line, but I don’t think it was made clear that there were different lines for security depending on your gender, so for the longest time, people were standing in only one line. Once guys and girls split into their respective lines at the front, I think it moved more smoothly. I should preface that I didn’t order any alcohol at the bar, but I was starting to develop a sore throat from all the smoke in the air, so I asked the bartender if I could have tap water to clear my throat. She refused and said my only option was the $ 4 bottled water. I was sort of disappointed in this policy since it seems like the venue just wants to nickel and dime you. Nevertheless, I was able to hold out until the end of the show, and I just got a drink after I left. This wasn’t a total dealbreaker for me since I don’t usually drink, but just a forewarning for anyone who might be interested in grabbing something from the bar!

The Bomb Factory knows what’s up. The organizers of the Homegrown Music Fest had to move the location from downtown to The Bomb Factory due to the rain. I was fully prepared for all manners of inconvenience, since moving such an event within a week practically guaranteed snafus. However, getting to the location was super-easy and my jaw dropped when I walked in and saw the space transformed for a festival that seemed to have been hosted had there for like 5 years. It was such a seamless transition. Very impressive! The cherry on top was headliner, Spoon, holding it down tight before climbing for the stars. Excellent show!

I’d like to be the first to congratulate The Bomb Factory for all their future success and I can’t wait to go back. I arrived pretty late to a very full event and there was still a lot of available parking nearby which I was surprised about. There was a line to get in but it went by very quickly. The dance floor is enormous and is accompanied by three bars. I didn’t have to ever wait more than a minute for a drink and drink prices were fair. I wasn’t expecting the bathrooms to be clean which is always nice. The Bomb Factory is no doubt here to stay!

Went to see Sammy Kershaw and Joe Diffie here a couple of weeks back. The staff was very helpful and attentive to all. They even let us in a little early so my wife could get a seat since she would not be able to stand for the whole show. The space itself is great and and spacious. Nice area to check out a show. The bartenders were all quick and efficient. The bathrooms were clean and never crowded-a big plus. The only drawback was that they were having some issues with the sound system and there were noticeable problems with it throughout the evening. If they get this right(and I am sure they already have) this will be a fantastic venue.

Biking over to Deep Ellum at night, the freeway felt like a magical door as I imagined traveling through it back to 1986. Back then I’d come see punk shows here in High School, at seedy venues like circle A ranch, the twilight room, and Theatre Gallery, but would never tell my parents. Leaving sterile white picket Tarrant County suburbia, the freeway summoned an escape of grimy danger, intrigue, mystery and a hopeful deep garden of artistic opportunity. Pretty white bleached mohawked girls In red plaid skirts and ripped black laced gloves would eat hungry dinners out of planters pretzel cans, I would slam dance for the first time and would watch boys wildly body surf above the crowds with a new unabashed freedom. The incite pricked my senses with a similar sharp joy as I visited the resurrection of this old music venue on its opening night, prefaced by a friends Facebook post who was already there, «I’m kinda impressed with Deep Ellum tonight.» The night felt like then, black and sultry cloaked with a similar rich energy with the 4000 people capacity of Bomb Factory swarming the streets hungry for its taste. The long line moved fast and the venue, a dark cave like multiplex was packed, including the 2nd tier balcony section that glowed around the periphery. Bar lines were long at each of the four outlets, drink prices were midrange high and the selection of liquor was enough to score a Bullit rye and diet, since the only wine offerings were Woodridge. Indy line ups dot Bomb Factory’s immediate future and the handsome facility with the mouth of a happy jack o lantern promised to offer future Thanksgivings and musical prophecies, chants and healings. Wether remote toting sofa bound Dallasites can support a local music venue is beyond me, but the idea sits heavy in our shopping mall inspired hearts with great hope.
