I tried this location many time. I purchase a year membership. After a several massages and trying several different massage therapist I stopped going. I always thought I was getting crushed during a massaged. I would ask the therapist to lighten up but they would not. One therapist gave a massage to me in a completely dark room… now that was a little weird !!! I will never return again. My opinion is that they are minimally trained.

I really don’t know how I feel about The Massage Company. Was it bad? No. Was it good? No. I purchased a Groupon and called to make an appointment for my 90 minute massage. The girl on the phone was pretty rude and when I asked her to verify the address I was told to google it. Upon arriving the next week for my appointment I wasn’t greeted, wasn’t told what to do or that there was paperwork I needed to fill out. Thank goodness another patron came in and grabbed the paperwork off the counter so I could follow suit. After being called back, I noticed that the whole place just seemed really run down. The lights were like office lights with that horrific fluorescent glow. It was clean but it just seemed like a massage parlor from the early 90s. After my massage I went to the desk to check out and the receptionist didn’t even look up. Finally I asked her what/if anything she needed from me and she said«not unless you’re going to sign up for a membership.» Ooookkk… how about someone offer me details on a membership? How about asking if I wanted to book another appointment or how my massage was? Now, any other time all of this would not be giving even 2 stars but my masseuse was so sweet and offered a really great massage. If you do come here make sure that you visit Jimmy. He paid attention to my asks and where I wanted him to work. I really enjoyed his massage and would go back to him but not back to The Massage Company.

I had a very underwhelming massage today by Tim. Sweet guy, but very meh on the art of massage. Lots of poking circles on dry skin. When he finally put some oil on those hands and made large, deep, sweeping motions that brought satisfying moans from his client(me :), he didn’t get the hint — went right on to the next body part with dry, poking, uninspired motions. I understand that making those huge, satisfying oily motions with his hands could be exhausting, but I would have liked more! Plus, we didn’t get started until 2:14 and he ended at 3:23. He was paid for a 90-minute massage??? Ugh! Good thing this was a gift card, or I would be a lot more vocal with my complaint«at the front desk.» Never going back here!

My husband purchased the three month membership for me since I have never had a massage before, but have been wanting to try it. They gave him a little appointment card with«3 Month Membership» written at the top. Reception: I showed up 15 minutes early for the appointment and handed the receptionist the card. She couldn’t find my husbands or my name in the system. She almost turned me away, until the other receptionist came and thought to look through the receipts from Valentines Day. She found my husbands receipt. Disaster averted. The receptionists were both very kind, but that was a bit frustrating. I’ve never had a massage before, because I get nervous, that 15 minute ordeal didn’t help. It appears to just be the two of them helping everyone that comes through. They are likely a bit swamped. Massage: I had a 60 minute massage with Mia. I’ve never had a massage before so I was nervous, but she did a good job of talking me through it. The room had a relaxing scent and music. Mia did a great job of getting a few knots out of my shoulder. I will definitely be back again and would recommend Mia.

Unorganized! Called and scheduled a mid-week massage. Repeated for confirmation. Good to go, right? Wrong. Received a call that I missed my appointment. Which they addressed me by the wrong name in a voice mail. Called back and told them they must have the wrong person — receptionist seemed taken aback. Then I told her when I was actually scheduled for and she flat out said No, there isn’t a scheduled service then. Oooookkkkkkk … Just forget it. I was in the area and stopped in to see if there were any openings. Yes. Ok great. I’ll use my monthly groupon massage. Wait 10 minutes. No problem. Then the receptionist went to her«office area» and apparently forgot she scheduled me?! I went to inquire 15 minutes later(I’m not impatient but this was getting ridiculous…) but felt awkward interrupting what appeared to be a personal call(I mean who wants to hear that drama pre-massage?!) so I kinda stood there with a «Hello? Anybody home expression??» And was ignored. Now the rage started to emerge … Then I hear an ok bye with a phone slamming down on the table(I’m assuming that’s what it was) as she came out of the office area and started rifling through the appointment book and mumbling to herself. Then tried to blame scheduling, etc. off onto others. Look, I’m just waiting, is this going yo happen or not? She gave me an upgraded 90 minute massage(1 star) for this debacle and afterwards she gave me the whole thing for free(1 star) Front line peeps definitely need to figure it out! Which is sad because I’d give 5 stars for the therapist!!!

The Massage Company offers a quality massage in a clean and comfortable environment, at a great price; my husband and I keep coming back! We first visited The Massage Company with a Groupon offer in 2010, and were very satisfied. Since our first visit in 2010, my husband and I have each had 5 – 6 massages here and have been satisfied each time! We recently bought another Groupon which included one massage, plus six months of massages at the discounted rate of $ 39 for an hour. If you are a first time guest, you can also receive the discounted $ 39 rate without a Groupon. We are always able to make an appointment, and if for some reason the schedule shifts, we always receive a call and they are very accommodating. We really like both of the Geri’s(there are two with same sounding names), so an appointment with either is a safe bet!

My husband and I went here because we had a Groupon. I called a week ahead of time to schedule the massages and to find out if we could do the hot stone massage with our coupons. I was told yes, if we paid $ 16 extra each so it would be a 90 minute hot stone massage. Sounds good, right? The first sign of a problem should have been when she scheduled us for the wrong day, which I only caught because I repeated everything again for confirmation. When we got there for our massages, we were less than impressed with the friendliness of the receptionist, who also did not seem to care that there was a large cockroach running around that was obviously bothering clients as they filled out their paperwork. The real problem, however, came when we went back for our appointments and found out that somehow we were not scheduled for the hot stone massage. We were already undressed and on the tables. I got redressed and went to talk to the receptionist, who was not only unapologetic but rude and told me that I would get a 90 minute massage, but not the hot stone massage and that I was wasting my massage time by talking with her. Both of the massage therapists were friendly and apologetic once back in the rooms, and my husband was told we would be getting a call from management to clear this up. I waited a week and then contacted management myself. While we did get an apology, the only offer that was made to us was that we could have a free«membership» which entitled us to come back and pay for more massages! We explained that 1) we didn’t want to spend more money and 2) we were moving. We were basically written off at that point. I feel sorry for the therapists who work there and would not ever plan on spending money here again.
