My very first time hearing of this place I was a little skeptical to eat something with«pink sauce». I’m glad I tried it the first time. It was fresh hot and greatness! Tonight I was a little disappointed. The breading was still very good and crispy, however the chicken on the inside was very dry and cold. Definitely was not fresh today. The cashier asked if we wanted fries or rice. Went with rice, but I wish we would’ve gone with the fries. The rice was very bland and soft/mushy. This place can be hit and miss so I would definitely go back!

Not bad for a quick and cheap meal if that’s what you’re looking for. The crispy breading reminded me of Captain D’s breading(similar flavor and texture). Tons of crispy breading, but the actual chicken strip inside was thin. The rice was okay.

This really is the Original Chicken-N-Rice(franchise) and they stay true to the flavor of things. There are a couple of imposters in the area, and I sadly have tried them. This is the place you want to go, if your craving some descent cheap chicken tenders. I mean you can get a 30 piece fingers, large rice and 4 sauces for right at $ 18. Sometimes you get super fresh hot chicken(that melts the styrofoam) and sometimes you get some old ass tenders. But you cant set your expectations too high here. There menu boasts all kinds of things like tenders, wings, sweet n sour chicken, catfish, eggrolls, fries and rice. The wings have the same batter the fingers(what they call tenders) have on them. I always stick to tenders and rice. Couple sweet n sour sauces to dip with and Im set. This location can be super hard to get to cause all the traffic and it being located almost at a busy intersection. Luckly they have plenty of parking in the back if you cant get one of the 4 spots they have in front. I have never eaten inside, always take out. But from just waiting for the food place seems ok clean. I am a fan, and will always come back here. I even stop by sometimes if im gonna late late to work and get it for my co-workers. There is nothing like this that I know of in Arlington so they appreciate it now and then.

This place closes at 9:30pm which apparently means you can’t place an order over the phone past 9:00pm. I called and told the lady what I wanted she told me she could not take order since they close at 9:30pm. Before I was able to respond she hung up the phone. I called at 9:10 and was 2 minutes away. I hate when establishments try to close before they’re actually closed. I went across the street to Crispy Chicken & Rice which is open until 10:00pm.

Chicken is good, hit and miss sometimes with the excessive crispy skin. Overall a decent place for food outside the bun… Call ahead for big orders, or you’ll wait. Price is the reason this is a popular place, that and the food when it’s great.

I got to say that this place sells some really good chicken. The chicken is crispy and moist. The rice is just as good. But my only problem is the amount of batter that they put on the chicken. Some chicken has way too much batter. Overall, this place is great for chicken and rice. I choose this place over the other«Chicken & Rice» locations like the one across the street.

I’ve been wanting to try this«concept» for a while. While it may not be new, you can’t find these restaurants everywhere. At least not in the burbs near my house. I’m not sure if you would call this«Chinese» as that isn’t the feel you get when you go in. Just as the name implies– you get chicken and rice here. The lunch specials are GREAT! I went on Monday and the lunch special for the day was four chicken tenders(big) with rice and sauce for $ 3.09. Wow! The tenders are like tempura battered chicken and are really good size so a meal with four is a good size. The rice isn’t anything spectacular, but it did compliment the chicken. You get one sauce with the meal(extra sauce cups are .10 cents) and you have a choice of mild, hot, and sweet. I got the mild with my meal and it was very tasty. I should have gotten another sauce– it was that good. I think it may be the main reason I would try this place again. The menu did have chicken wings on it too. You order at the counter. You can eat there or take out. The food was made really quick so the wait was minimal. There seems to be some«thing» where there are multiple locations of the same concept including one across the street with a similar name, but this location claims to be «the original and not affiliated with any of the imposter locations».
