This place never disappoints me! I decided to avoid Dallas Tortillas forever when it comes to tamales and menudo. The tamales are as fresh as it gets and delicious. Most places that sell pan dulce might as well sell you croutons. It’s dry and leaves you spitting dust. Not here man! nom nom nom! Let’s get to the menudo… not greasy, perfectly seasoned(better than mine, I’m ashamed to admit) and I totally was not expecting them to include a dozen corn tortillas, lime, chopped jalapenos and onions. The«other business that shall no longer be named» does not offer this luxury and their tortillas are hard frisbee’s. Best kept secret ever!

Ummm… so I was brought some tamales the week I came home with my newborn. I thought they were homemade. She got them at Aunt Dora’s. This place has a small area on front with a few tables, but what it lack for in ambiance it makes up in taste. Bakery is great and the mexican food just the same. I love the chicken tamales, but the breakfast tacos are awesome as well.

Bring a snickers! 25 minute wait for a beef fajita torta. Torta was okay, not worth the wait or the cost.

We visit ti doras once every couple of weeks when we make the drive from Carrollton to Oak Cliff. Its definitely worth the drive! I usually order breakfast tacos, which taste like my made them for me. They are made exactly the way you want them. My wife always gets Tamales, and again, just like my moms. fresh, and very tasty. Nothing better than going somewhere to eat and it really does taste like home cooking. We are fans of Tia Doras!

Wish I could give a zero star review, Was ignored by cashier. I was next in line and instead of being rung out, she thought cleaning the trays was more important. Not only did she restock some trays, she went back behind counter and started cleaning more trays. I was furious and had to bite my tongue. I just left my pan dulce with the tray on their countertop and walked out. I will never be returning to this place again and will be sure to tell all my friends about the awful customer service.

The best pan dulce! It’s a bit of a hike for us uptowners but worth the drive. The hardest part is deciding what to get!

Really good food but the service is horrible. They lose your orders if your not constantly checking if it’s ready. Other than that, the bread is really fresh.

Tia Dora’s has been THE spot my family goes to for pan dulce for over 20 years. The place is known for their pan dulce but you can’t go wrong with any of their menu options. I believe this bakery is truly an Oak Cliff treasure. . *The service is great *The food is always fresh *The place is clean *The prices are right

A co-worker was always bringing in Tamales from just down the street. They were always great. Even hours later. Cold. «Tia Dora» I kept forgetting where it was and ending up at Gordo’s or El Tacaso. I finally wrote it down. It’s embarrassingly easy to find. The food is fantastic. The smell is fantastic. The bakery is filled with a large variety of breads, cookies, and other goodies. I ordered a handful of tacos and some tamales and was happy with the price. With more time, I’d have gotten something from the bakery. I should have ordered ahead. Once in the car, I actually got to try the tamales hot. Shockingly, they’re better fresh than after sitting in the break room. The tacos are pretty good as well and the sauce is just as good. The tacos were pretty good, but the tamales never made it back to work.

Went to Tia Dora’s for the first time about four or five years ago after reading about it on a Dallas Morning News piece on the best tamales in the area. Channel Eight’s Gloria Campos mentioned Tia Dora’s as her choice for tamales. I went there, it was then located at Cockrell Hill and Jefferson. The tamales were good. The bakery/tamale factory/taco place recently moved to its current location. Still great. Good size tamales, very good Mexican bread and amazingly tasty, fresh and inexpensive breakfast and lunch tacos. I understan Lee Trevino buys his tamales here. Also, George W, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

A bakery like you’re grandmother used to go to. Ever since I was a little kid I remember my mom giving me some hot chocolate or milk with some Mexican sweet bread from Tia Dora’s. Located deep in Cockrell Hill, in one of the few original buildings left in Cockrell Hill. This small unasuming place serves up great tasting bread! Parking is a bit tricky as they only have a few spots in a tiny parking lot on the side. They make their bread fresh everyday and when you try it you can really taste it! Break the bank? Nope! Get there early and you will see them putting the bread out fresh from the oven! This isn’t some fancy poser bakery, and their prices reflect it. Just don’t think that cheap prices mean an inferior bread, quite the contrary. I like to grab a sack and fill it up with goodies like conchas, marranitos, and empanadas. Try their tamales too! Se vende como pan caliente!
