Tom Thumb is generally over-priced, standard food that you can buy at any Target or Walmart. Which begs the question of why you shop here(unless you ran out of eggs/flour and are in dire need). Even for grocery stores, I’ve found Tom Thumb to be more expensive than Central Market, Trader Joes, or Whole Foods. Not very price competitive.

Great small grocery store. Definitely a throw back grocery store to years ago when grocery stores weren’t the mega-marts they are now where you can seemingly buy anything from a cantaloupe to a lawn mower. This grocery store is half way between a NY style bodega and a mid sized grocery store. They will have all the grocery staples, but not a large selection of any specific type. I also seemingly have both moments where I can’t believe they don’t carry something that I think a grocery store should, and moments where I am pleasantly surprised that they have something that I wouldn’t think they would have room for in such a small grocery store. Not a place to go to do your shopping to cook a giant meal, but a good and easy place to stop in if you need eggs, ice cream and some flowers or a mix of whatever few things you might need to stop in and get. It is funny and obvious that a quick stop in is the purpose of this grocery store, because they have 2 or 3 «10 items or less» checkout lines that are seemingly always open and usually only 1 or 2 full checkout lines open.

Loved this place, I’m from a pretty unintentionally regressive city in Arkansas that lacks many different types of fresher foods. This Tom’s thumb is a smaller grocery store, and pretty much easy to find things. Decent selection of wines, and cheese :)

Every time I go here I feel like I’m looking for something they don’t carry. Hersey’s syrup? Nope not this time Eggs? frozen(found that out when I got them home and cracked them, still egg shaped) bread? Fresh out The pharmacy is the only saving grace of this place. The people who work there are so nice and can answer just about any question.
