From all the antique stores I’ve been to in Dallas, this one is my favorite. Everything is imported from Europe, but the prices aren’t outrageous. Don’t forget to go to both the lighting half and the warehouse.

I stumbled across Uncommon Market after reading an online recommendation, and I’m really glad I did! This place is super cool; I was hooked from the moment I walked in the door. It’s a giant warehouse packed full of high-quality, unique antiques, building materials, knick knacks, and almost every kind of home décor you can imagine. The owners have spent the last 40+ years collecting almost everything imaginable from across Europe(and some from the US). They have everything from antique tables and chairs to carnival tent decorations. They have a ton of beautiful 19th century armoires, even a massive shelving unit from behind the counter of an 1880s grocery store. You could spend hours wandering around in here just taking it all in. Of note, some of the items are obviously refurbished(they look freshly painted or just too clean to be 100+ years old), but they have a lot of older items as well. As you move to the back of the warehouse, you’ll see their massive outdoors section, with vases, tiles, massive doors, etc. They also have an entire section of old luggage, a room filled with random knobs, hinges, and other hardware, and a library filled floor-to-ceiling with old books. The pricing on most items was very fair considering most of the items are genuine antiques. For example, many table sets(including 6 chairs) came in around $ 1500 or so, with tables for $ 600-$ 700 by themselves. There is something here for all price ranges, from a few dollars to tens of thousands, whether it be a 1930s movie projector or some art deco tiles. Overall I thought the pricing was great for what you get. Even if you aren’t in the market to buy anything, I highly recommend spending an afternoon just wandering about Uncommon Market.

Fun place to look in, but a lot of stuff is overpriced. If you come here in the summer be prepared to sweat… not a lot of air circulating through the building. The older gentleman at the register took fooorreeevvverrrr to write up the purchases, so you’ll have to be super patient.

This place got me at the entrance, I got that wow feeling, and I know that I was going to have a great time. Hands down the best antique store in DFW. Imagine walking into a –home-depot– sized antique store with everything from old building materials to airplane propellers, beautiful wooden boats, library, doors, stained glass windows, impressive selection of door knobs, hinges and other antique hard wears, to the best lighting selection I have ever seen. Although everything in here is one of a kind the prices are affordable. Service was very good, and the place neatly organized. If you have time, this is a must see place!

Huge store with lots of imported antique furniture, books, and housewares. Some antiques were ‘refurbished’ or ‘refreshed’, like lots of old bottles with new but antique-looking labels glued on. If you are looking for antiques from the UK or France then this is a great starting place.

Are you looking for antique light fixtures, old books and unique European antiques? They have it! You know how when you are eating in Bennigans and you would ask yourself«where did they get those old ice skates, skis and humongous canoes?» They probably got it here! They have everything from antique china, furniture, antique fire extinguishers and antique sports equipment. This place is AMAZING! They even deliver larger pieces. I was in search of a bench. I called U.M. and over the phone a gentleman helped me and went as far as taking pictures and emailing them… now THAT is fantastic customer service, that sadly is not often found! I highly recommend this store for those decorating enthusiasts that want to find either the perfect accessory or gift for the person who has everything… I guarantee you will find something they DONT have! Note: They have moved locations to have more room… I am SO excited to see the new place! So be sure and call to get the new locations directions and contact info, so you have their number in your cell in case you are not familiar with Dallas. Have fun and be prepared to be amazed and what you will find!
