What do you get when you cross a Mexican carniceria with an Ethiopian spice market? Viva, of course. It’s an international grocery store that has fresh meats and exotic, hard-to-find international food items. It’s a bit dingy in its appearance(ok, very dingy), but it does have everything you need if you’re making a specialized dish. My aunt sent me here for injera(Ethiopian flatbread)… actually more specifically Webb Injera– a healthier local brand made here. I found what I need relatively quickly and had no real complaints, other than its unkempt curb appeal, the dated sign and the barred windows.
