If Dr. Weakley recognizes your child’s problem, he will likely take good care of your child. But if he doesn’t recognize the problem, you’ll leave with no idea of what to do next and possibly unsure if he really was thorough. You need to be ready to press for more information, even if he is inching towards the door. That is where I had a problem… I didn’t like that my child’s problem was first deemed nonexistent and then deemed self-fixing…all while it wasn’t even believed. And a next step should have been offered… if the problem is not in your specialty, you are still a medical expert who should be able to tell a parent where to go next for help.
