Went for one of their wine tasting events. You buy a ticket for $ 45 and are supposed to get to taste all sorts of wine. It was a disaster. They promote the high end bottles… but the bartenders won’t let you actually have any. They kept saying we had«to work up to» the high end stuff. Classic bait and switch, but whatever. What really bothered me is that the bartenders downed more wine than we did. It’s too busy to get your money’s worth – but that doesn’t stop them from getting in their tasters. The event was advertised as to have appetizers along with the tasting. Below is a list of the«appetizers»… –Bowl of generic Ruffles –Bowl of stale popcorn –Crockpot of miniature meatballs… the kind you buy in a bag at Costco –Crockpot of little smokies –Plate of crackers(the cheese you have to purchase separately) Despite the low score, I don’t necessarily have a problem with the place, or the owner. The issue is the event. Always too many people at events like this… as anyone who does it needs to cram as many people into the place as they can to just break even. If you are close and want a glass of wine, sure, this place is fine, but DONOTGOTOTICKETEDTASTINGEVENTSATTHISPLACE(ORANYOTHERPLACEFORTHATMATTER).

If you are not a regular, you definitely feel out of place(noted in other reviews). The staff and the woman I believe to be the owner, seemed to gravitate towards certain customers. If you are looking for a more in depth, educational wine experience, this may not be the venue. Nice space overall and good setting for a quiet date over wine.

Terri is really great! If spend enough time with her, she will begin to learn your palette and introduce you to some amazing wines. It takes a few visits and several conversations, but that is what this place is about. You come here for conversation and to learn. This is not a crazy bar to get loaded and act like an ass.

This place deserves more than 5 stars. My husband and I went on Friday night for a wine tasting event. Let me just say the ambiance is nice and the people are even nicer. There is a married couple that works there on Fridays, they are super friendly as well. The wine is top notch and doesn’t give you a headache. Generally the cheaper wines with lots of acidity gives you a headaches. This place tastes each and every wine that’s sold to ensure it isn’t cheap and doesn’t have a strong acid content. The wine that’s to die for, is the Red Mare. We had the pleasure of meeting the maker of Ref Mare, Jim Striegel. He was super pleasant and explained the content of each choice of wine served. I would definitely throw an event at this place or go to hang out with friends any day of the week!

So I decided to drop in on a whim and I’m glad I did. The staff was courteous and the environment welcoming. I loved the tasting menu and perfectly crafted cake balls. I can’t wait to come back. I would recommend this place for date night or maybe fun with the girls. It’s an easy-going atmosphere and the wines are delicious.

I like this place because it is not noisy like most other places on Fri-Sat nights. You can buy wine by the glass or bottle, but bottle prices are less than if you would have bought them from a restaurant. They do not have much food though.

Awesome selection of wines! I actually feel like I’m in Napa! I lived near there for a little while and have not found a place that fit the same aura until now. The people are incredibly nice and helpful with helping you find your specific taste. They also have great prices! Can’t beat $ 19 for 5 tastes!

My wife and I have been visiting this wonderful wine bar for several years. It’s a place to go, relax, chat with friends and meet new ones. There are many regulars you will see time and again. If you’re looking for someone who knows their wines Terri will never steer you in a bad direction. Every employee there has made every visit a memorable one. I’ve gotten to try wines that I would never have thought to try and had samples of wines I probably couldn’t afford by the bottle. The food trays are meant as a snack to compliment the wine your drinking. It’s a wine bar people!

I’ve been here three times since moving to Dallas. I enjoy the wine flights, but most of all it is a great place to just relax. The owner, Terri, is welcoming and helpful. And, Daniel, who was my bartender on the first visit is attentive and knowledgeable. I also like it that they have wi-fi so I can come here and relax, while catching up on some work at the same time.

Although I am not a wine aficionado, I enjoy accompanying my wife when she is in the mood to sample some new varieties. These trips have taken us to Winetastic several times from events ranging from a Wine 101 class to tastings put on by specific wineries to just relaxing and enjoying vino. Although this is a pleasant enough wine bar, it seems that the experience is fairly inconsistent. Some times the service and selection are outstanding, but then they fall way off on other visits. It seems that they offer some good wines, but their prices often eclipse those of their competitors. That is OK, when you get really friendly, attentive service, but sometimes it is easy to feel like you have been forgotten when you have been sitting around for awhile. So, be prepared to have to get up and find someone to provide you a new pour. Also, you probably want to eat before arriving. Their menu choices are limited and often not worth the exorbitant prices. The meat/cheeses plates are decent, but the sausage plate was ridiculous with minuscule slices at monstrous cost.

Whether I come by with friends, coworkers, or by myself I always have a great evening. The location is ideal and there is ample parking underneath. One of my favorite nights is half price BTG Mondays. You can’t beat a great glass of wine for half price. If you like wine and like new experiences, you should definitely check it out as the tasting menu changes every week.

My husband and I went here a few weeks ago for a special tasting I had received an email about. When we went in, the first thing that was said to us was«I hope your not here for the Cru». We in fact were but was content to try something else. I found the list limited and never got a friendly feel from the staff. We originally had reserved a spot for their chocolate and wine tasting on 2/11, but after being treated so coldly we have cancelled.

I stopped in this evening with a business colleague and enjoyed a nice glass of wine. It has a great atmosphere, and the owner Terry is extremely sweet and knowledgable. The highlight of the evening… Monday is half price glass night! I look forward to coming back soon.

I hae been to WineTastic numerous time due to the fact that I live nearby. I enjoy it because it has a great selection to choose from by the glass for a reasonable price. It is more casual than most wine bars which I like. It is nice to imbibe without all the pretentiousness that most wine bars carry. I recently organized a meetup event there where I had 60 people show. Terri, the owner, was very friendly to all of the guest and accomodating to offer the wines that I personally selected for the evening. I wanted Spanish wines on the wine flight of the evening. She advised on what Spanish wines to offer. I did not have any complaints that evening, so I can recommend for groups. It also has a patio.

Went here two weekends ago for a $ 1 wine tasting! Can’t beat that! Met a friend at 2:00 and stayed till 7:30. We went from one Wine Tasting to the following Spanish Wine Tasting form 6 – 9 p.m. The ambiance of the place feels like a quaint cave in the Napa Valley. The personal attention to the wine is appreciated. I do wish they’d add more to the food menu to accompany the wine tasting. The second wine tasting was a lot busier and crowded. So glad we got there early and claimed squatters rights to our booth. The wines and atmosphere are completely a hit for me! I’ll bring back friends to enjoy long talks over a nice glass or bottle of vino!

One of my favorite places in dallas. We refer to it as cheers. Great large bar with very friendly patrons and staff. You can grab a bottle from the retail section or try the tasting. Very knowledgeable staff. I have learned a lot about wine. Good parking in underground garage.

I love the atmosphere — nice, but casual — and the service is great. If you’re going to linger, I’d probably get the tasting and then just do 5 «tasting» pours of the same wine if you know you want a certain kind. I think you’d probably get more of your money’s worth. But hey, nothing here is really overpriced as far as the wine world goes. I did find the wine list a bit disappointing. I tried a couple wines(that my friends ordered) after ordering a glass of the syrah. None of them were very good. I lived just outside Napa for 4 years, so maybe I’m just spoiled. Still, it’s a nice place to hang out after work or meet up with some friends to chat(you can actually hear each other, whee). Also, I hear they host viewings of «The Bachelor» on Monday nights. Yep.

The knowledge and passion for wine in this place is apparent. Terry is a certified Sommelier. She knows her stuff. The tastings are not skimpy like you find at the more pretentious wine bars. Not only are the pours heavy, but the number of glasses per tasting will surely have you leaving with a smile on your face and a stumble in your step. After visiting a few wine bars around the city, I think this place offers the best bang for your buck. They don’t have a full menu; however, they do offer some snacks, cheeses and meats. Not the best options for food, so don’t go there expecting anything special in that department. They focus on what they know best! The have a number of tastings per month with people coming in to showcase wines of different regions, whether that’s California, Oregon, Italy or France. There’s always a fun event, special deal or promotion. And, if you are lucky enough to come in on a day when a distributor is there and giving you free tastings, please… CALLME! It’s a comfortable atmosphere with a friendly and welcoming staff. The regulars tend to gather at the bar and are outgoing and ready to make new friends. The lighting is low, there’s plenty of seating, but it’s still small enough to have an intimate and not overwhelming feeling.

So came here with the g/f last Friday night to take advantage of the buy-one-get-one-free coupon I had received previously. Not surprisingly, it was a totally different experience from the quick stop I had made the previous Saturday afternoon. The place was mostly filled, with only 2 tables left open. Thus it was lively, but not crowded. Glasses ranged from $ 7 to $ 13. There were 5 to 7 options available for red, whites, and roses/sparkling each. In addition, there were 5 red wines by the glass only available Thursday thru Saturday that were at the higher end of the price range($ 12-$ 13/glass). We were hungry and got pita chips and hummus. My personal perference is soft pita with my hummus, but most Texans seem to prefer pita chips(perhaps b/c they’re more similar to tortilla chips?) so I won’t hold that against this place. If you’re coming in here just to pick up a bottle of wine, I still think that this is a 3 star establishment b/c of the limited selection. It is a nice place to go though if you want to get out of the house or imbibe a decent glass of wine after a long days work. If you go, be sure to get the punch card that earns you $ 20 store credit after purchasing 10 glasses of wine.
