Not a place I would frequent. Their meats are pretty dry. Flavors are very muted. Friendly service. Food took way too long to come out. I would have hoped for a better showing since this place is in a hotspot like the TruckYard

We hired these guys to cater our wedding. Their prices were fair(we saved a good amount of money on catering) and it was a fun and unique aspect of our wedding. These guys were on time and dependable. The porky-pork and sweet potato fries were a big hit.

Tried the lemongrass brisket tacos and was very disappointed. There was no lemongrass flavor at all, the brisket was very bland and didn’t taste good. No smoke or spice either. The taco was soggy and limp, and the so called thai slaw was just some regular slaw with no taste. Completely forgettable and overpriced to boot.

This truck catered the Bitter Sisters Brewery 4th of July party during Addison Kaboom town, and it was surprising VERY good! You HAVE to try the fire balls. I got a rice bowl too, and needless to say it was empty within about 5 minutes.

Very good food for the price at the food truck. Their Brisket Rice bowl and Basal fried rice were great.

What a great truck! I have tried Yim Yam a couple of times and they do not disappoint ever. I have had the spicy sweet potato fries and the fireballs. Both are very addictive, especially if you are a spicy food fan. I didn’t know what to expect with the fireballs because I had never had something like that. It was amazing! It was a fried rice ball packed with basil and some spices. I learned that Yim Yam means«big smile» and that all the words on the side of the truck mean«smile» in different languages. That is so cool! The owners/employees were very friendly.

YumYum!!! The truck was at Community Brewery this past weekend and I’m hooked! I shared the fireballs, spicy sweet potato fries and green curry pork and rice. The sweet potato fries were crispy(which many places serve them very mushy). The spice was great as well. I’m a spicy food enthusiast so they were not too hot to me, but may be to be others. They put some sauce on top — I don’t know what it was, but it’s a must! The fireballs were fried rice balls. The rice was so deliciously seasoned with coconut milk and other Thai spices. Again, it was topped with the delicious sauce. The green pork was very flavorful with bursts of Thai seasonings. It was not spicy in my opinion, but again I enjoy very spicy food. It food took about five minutes to get our order and was all hot and fresh. Highly recommend this food truck if it’s in your area!

I’ve tried this truck a couple times and have mixed feelings. I really enjoyed their porky tacos the first time I went. They had the perfect blend of flavors and were actually quite filling. The second time I visited Yim Yam, I tried the fire balls and wing pops. The fire balls were like a little explosion of flavor and I was impressed. But the wing pops. .not so much. I mean, the BBQ/sriracha sauce mixture was very very tasty, but the chicken was not cooked all the way and that’s not something you want to experience while biting down on your wings. Like, one wing was literally still bleeding when I bit into it. Not a good look. I may or may not try this truck again…

The food is excellent. I have tried the Nutty Chick, Beefy Brisket, Fireball and Sliders. I typically do not love curry; however, I loved the Nutty Chick. The Beefy Brisket was amazing. It is very tender with a flavorful sauce. The Fireball is a unique combination of rice, curry, coconut milk and spices. It is crunchy on the outside with a soft center and topped with an amazing sauce. The sliders are not typical sliders. The meat is full of flavor with unique spices. I wished I lived closer to frequent this food truck more often. It is reasonably priced with a great staff. Well worth seeking these guys out!

I visited this food truck on a not-so-busy Friday night when they were parked outside Double Wide. I think this place is ok, but I wouldn’t drive out of my way to get to them. My fave food item were their wing pops. They were fried just right with a sweet and sour glaze and a slight kick. If the truck happens to be somewhere nearby, I’d order these! I ordered the pork bowl, which I was told was the spiciest bowl out of the three they offer. For heat seekers, the heat will not blow you away. For the average person, like me, it was the perfect level of heat(3−4÷10). The pork was tender, but the bowl overall was just ok, in my opinion. Your other two meat options are chicken or beef. I also tried a steaming sauce covered ball… rice ball that is! It was fried to a nice crisp, but it is not something I’d order again. They come two to an order. The prices are pretty reasonable, $ 8/bowl. The guys working the truck were funny and didn’t mind explaining their menu to us. They accept cash or credit/debit cards.

Yim Yam YUM! This food trucks serves up an assortment of affordable small Thai plates. They have three rice bowls, beef, pork or chicken, each with it’s own spiciness level. I got the chicken which comes with a coconut curry sauce. The sauce was so amazingly flavorful it made the rice taste like sticky coconut rice yum! They said the pork is the spiciest and the beef the least spicy. We also tried the wings and the fire balls, which are sort of giant balls of rice that were fried and served topped with some kind of spicy mayo sauce. The wings had a sticky and tangy lemongrass type sauce on them. They were cooked perfectly and the flavor combo was amazing, being both savory and sweet and somehow also light and zesty all at once. If all wings everywhere were suddenly only coated in this sauce, I would not complain, and I bet you wouldn’t either. They were parked outside of Doublewide when I had my feast but you can find them through Facebook or Twitter(which thy kindly told us so we could become return customers). The folks in the truck were friendly and very quick at getting the food out, and everything looked super clean. Though most dishes seemed relatively small, so were the prices, meaning you can try a few different things and still have cash for a drink.
