Amazing job with my hair! I showed a picture of what I wanted, and received a consultation and a detailed explanation of the process. The highlights came out perfect, and the cut was a great fit.

1 Salon is the best hair salon in Daly City California. The hair designer and business owner, May, is a professional hair expert. And her staff, Jerry, is also a great stylist. They serve many customers throughout the day. And every customer who visit 1 salon is always happy and very satisfied with their service. The most important is that every customers feel beautiful after their visit. The entire staff is very kind and respectful to their customer hair needs. My entire family goes to 1 Salon, you must try and visit 1 Salon, and you will be satisfied, happy and will look beautiful forever.

Went in for a quick trim. Being a guy I didn’t expect much, but they made me look like a mix between George Clooney and Brad Pitt. My girlfriend was quite happy with it too which is always a plus.

Went in and there was only one person working… on a Saturday. Needless to say, I couldn’t get a haircut as I was told to come back after 2 hours.

I decided it was time to find a new hair gal! May was recommended to me and I decided to give her a try. My haircut was Amazing, she listened to what I wanted & along the way stopped several time to show me what she was cutting! highlights, my natural hair is an ash blond and dull, May added some shine! they look great and so natural. May is very professional and her prices very reasonable. My husband is going to start seeing May too! I look forward to being a long term client. The other thing she didn’t use products, showed me how to easily style, didn’t leave full of spray

I went to 1 salon for hair straightening and trim. My hair came out more waving and frizz than before I went in. And they did not ask what style of trim I like. Ken insisted more layers the better. So my trim came out very choppy and not fit my style. May and Ken are friendly, but my hair came out terrible. I am suffering now and don’t know what to do about it:-(

Ken is a great hair stylist, did my hair for prom. I went back and got my hair ombré, i showed him a picture of what i wanted and it didn’t come out that way, however it came out very nice and i like this color ombré better than the picture.

This review took a while. As I finally figured out the name of the salon. Whoever cut my sisters hair really had bad judgement. My sister is petite with a round face. She came home 2 weeks ago with some sort of choppy pixie cut. She had asked for layers similar to an A line bob. It was nothing like that, the front was above her chin. The back layers did not blend or fade upward typical of a bob. She thought the stylist was nice and believed it was partially her fault for not bringing a photo. However, going somewhere where haircuts were $ 20 should have been a tip off. She won’t be back. Thankfully my sister has thick hair that grows fast.

I’ve been going to May for 9 years now and she has never disappointed me in her expertise with my hair. She has provided various hair services (depending on my whim and desire of that year) from richer coloring and highlights to no nonsense natural body waves. May is professional, knowledgeable and truly listens to what her customers want, taking her time every visit to make sure everything is satisfactory and perfect before leaving. She also deserves an extra star for accommodating diva girl’s ever hectic schedule for a quick trim or haircut! ;-P

Look for May, I have her as my hair designer for over 9 years. She is very stylish and creative, she can convert my idea into reality on my hair by showing her a picture or just a description. She had never disappointed me in the past and I’ll keep coming over and over again.
