You can tell this place doesn’t get cleaned thoroughly, and our toilet seat was broken. The shower head runs a feeble trickle. Also, the actual rates are way higher than those listed on hotel searches, and they guy in the office says the motel doesn’t claim responsibility for that. Great place to stay if you love your place smelling like curry and you like having sneezing fits from dust. The extra star is because the manager gave my collegue an Arizona Watermelon Tea after he couldn’t get change for a vending machine.

You might think that the 3rd star is generous, but I stayed here overnight before the AIDS/LifeCycle ride in 2008, and it was fine for that. Walking distance from the Cow Palace; price tolerable if no bargain; was fine to crash for a few hours. If you’re gonna get up at 3AM anyway, comfort isn’t that big a problem. Easier than cabbing to and from a hotel, etc.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel/motel. I had made a reservation at this motel the same day that I wanted to stay here. Upon our arrival a few hours later, the people at the front desk explained that there were no rooms available and they had tried to call me three times and I didn’t pick up. I had no missed calls or voicemails. He had the right number written down and I asked him to dial it for me right there. No ring. Turns out, he doesn’t know what an AREACODE is and just doesn’t ever dial it. So now, stranded, he sends my friend and me over to his friend’s place, Amazon motel, which is also horrible. We demanded we should pay the same rate because of the inconvenience, but the lady in charge there was stubborn, rude, and disrespectful, so we took our business elsewhere.
