It’s CLOSED, will be replaced by an Indian place named Tandori Oven according to signs posted on the window and door. Not sure if related to south bay’s The Tandoori Oven(yes, with 2 o’s). I hope they do a complete remodel and put a clean bathroom(PLEASE!!). This dingy burger shop has been at the Westlake mall for as far as I can remember(and prior to the mall’s remodel). Being able to see the actual grilling on the round grill was a nice novelty. Not a fan, EVERYTHING was better elsewhere. Nearby Nation’s Burger is much better.

Daly City Staple, it has been here for years, visited this place frequently during my college years not so much now. more or less went to this spot if nations was too packed of if i wanted something that tasted like a Whopper but was not a whopper haha. on the inside in the front is a massive grill where the patties, dogs, everything is grilled, the other reason this place was frequently visited when in high school and college is their condiment bar, literally pile it as high as you can hahaha only visit this spot once and awhile not so much anymore haha food *** price $ cash only folks dont know if this has changed ambiance ** there is a draft inside service ***

Cash only but there is an atm. Sliders has been in Westlake for as long as I remember. It’s either been Sliders or Nation’s with the talk about best burger in Daly City(not counting In n out and Burger King since those are chains). The main difference between Sliders and Nation’s around the corner is that Slider’s cooks their patties on this rotating circular grill as opposed to on the grill top. Ironically, this grilling technique makes it resemble BK’s burgers. Inside, there’s a free condiment station of mushrooms, red onions, jalapenos, to orange slices? You also get to pick your cheese here, unlike Nation’s. Burger price is about the same as well. Solid burger but nothing special.( ) Shout out to Phillip W who I saw outside. His tip — make sure you sit closer to the back so you don’t smell like burgers. I personally like smelling like meat.

Pros: Open late, ATM, plenty of dining area, condiment bar Cons: Cash only, really drafty inside, sometimes people eat your food when they think it is their food I ordered a burger and the server called out«cheeseburger with avocado» so I go up to get it and there’s just a cheeseburger and some other patron grabbing a couple fries. Then the server takes the burger/fries away from him, tosses a couple pieces of avocado on and shouts out«cheeseburger with avocado» again and hands it to me. Ok, weird but not horrible or anything. Anyways, the dude that accidentally ate my fries offered my boyfriend some of his fries to «make it even» which was cool of him. The burger itself was okay. I love the condiment bar, ended up with hella lettuce and tomatoes. They could definitely put more avocado in the sandwiches since, you know, we’re paying so much extra(I got about a fourth or fifth of a normal sized avocado). Didn’t dig the fries but other people seem to enjoy them. Ketchup disappeared at around 12:00am so I guess no more ketchup for meee.

One of my favorite places to get a Burger. The place isn’t fancy, there isn’t any waiter service, but you get to dress your Burger however you want and they’re always tasty.

[M]ona: 3 Stars [W]ayne: 2.5−3 Stars(can’t really decide) Average: 3 Stars + Open Late + Lots of Condiments + Fresh Burgers + Inexpensive — Cash Only — Small Menu — Interior looked filthy [W] So I’ve lived at the Westlake area for quite a while now and we always see Sliders here but never tried it for some reason… after coming here yesterday, I finally knew my instincts were correct. The only nice thing about this place is the great smell from outside(maybe because I just love burgers haha) and the self serve toppings table. Tonight I ordered the 8oz. burger(bad photo) and Mona had the Mushroom Cheese burger which was also 8oz. We also had a order of Onion Rings and a Medium fountain drink. The burgers itself was actually good and juicy. You also get to stack as much mushrooms, pickles, lettuce, peach(yeah I said PEACHES), cucumber, shredded lettuce, jalapeño, etc. from the self serve toppings bar. So our burgers were good. I know Mona liked hers as well. Getting to the bad parts about Sliders now. The place looks kind of dirty on the inside. Maybe the 2 guys that were working there tonight didn’t really clean up or something? But yea, it wasn’t really an environment that I would like to eat at because it didn’t feel too sanitary. One of the guys was just wiping down the tables with the same old dirty rag we was using for all the other tables as well… so if you drop your food on the table, I suggest leaving it. Second, the onion rings «looked» good but did not taste good. It was a little crunchy, and let me emphasize A LITTLECRUNCHY. It was more like 20% crunchy and 80% soggy. I mean come on, this is suppose to be ONIONRINGS… they’re NEVER suppose to be soggy so… boo you guys failed there. When I picked up the onion ring, the batter literally just fell apart from the onion ring… so that wasn’t really fun to eat when you’re trying to scoop it into your mouth… bleh. Also the fountain machine was semi-non-working(~~~is that even a word? lol). The customer before us couldn’t even get a root beer float because their ice cream machine didn’t work or something. Also some of the flavors on the machine didn’t even work. I remembered trying to get some root beer and nothing but water came out. Then I chose for Sprite and when I drank it, it just tastes like carbonated water with no flavor or it wasn’t sweet enough. The guy was suppose to refill and fix the machine but he just pulled out the box with the syrup and left it on the floor. I mean come on guy, you expect your customers to refill the machine ourselves?!? There wasn’t even any customers in the restaurant! So… rather he was being lazy or something. Another thing was that they had a little biddy tv in the back corner. I guess that was their substitute for music because honestly, they had NOMUSIC in the restaurant and just a boring ass show going on. Also it wasn’t even cable because they had the bunny ears on the table haha. Anyways, this place looks better than it tastes. It’ cash only also by the way so keep that in mind.

I went here after randomly seeing the sign. I heard of this spot because it’s my friend and his daughter’s favorite place so I thought I’d try it out since I finally found out where it was. I went in with my best friend and we bought food for 5 people. I got the turkey burger and he got the grilled chicken sandwich. For everyone else we got 2 cheese fries and 1 chili cheese fries. Everything totaled to about $ 28. I was fine ordering and everything looked like I was going to have a good experience; until I got my burger and went to put condiments on… my burger was HUGE and the taste of the turkey patty was delicious BUT putting stuff on it traumatized me. I went around 12pm so the condiments were still pretty fresh but GROSS!!! Everything was just sitting out there. And I’ve been to places that leave their stuff out there like that but they make sure they stay preserved away from flies or dirty people sticking their hands in there to grab just one pickle slice to stuff in their mouth. Also, the straw that broke this camel’s back was their mayonnaise dispenser!!! It was broken at the part that normally screws on to the metal container and they used DUCTTAPE to stick it back on there!!! And it looked like they’ve been using that method for awhile because it was worn out and the pump STILL came off and not only that, there was nasty gunk at the base; I didn’t know if it was tape goo or mayo. I got soooo disgusted I couldn’t look around anymore. I sat on the stool looking at the wall while we waited for the rest of the food and I made my best friend grab it because I was just THAT grossed out. We took the food back home and ate there. My burger was yummy and half filled me up but definitely not worth what I saw. I won’t be coming back. I’m pretty easy to please and not picky when it comes to small hole in the wall places(I know they don’t always look the best) but once I get disgusted, I can’t imagine going back.

If you’re in Westlake, your default burger place should always be Burgermeister. Why? Because even though Slider’s burgers is only about a buck less than the fore mentioned establishment, the quality suffers. But they do have a good salad bar. However everything else is really really greasy, or undercooked. As in the fries. My friend got sick from the cheese topped fries he had the last time here. Avoid this place if you’ve got the money for Burgermeister.

I’m not a huge fan of burgers, so when i actually like a place, i’ll recommend it. The other night, i decided to take my sister and her boyfriend to this burger place because they were craving Carl’s, Jr. burgers. Living in SF, there are many other options for inexpensive burgers that are just as good, if not better, than fast food chains. I’ve been here a couple of times before and have been pleased with the size of the burger and the taste. You can also add your own toppings: lettuce, red/white onions, pickles, relish, cucumbers, alfalfa sprouts, and the traditional condiments of ketchup, mayo and mustard. They’ve got a cute tv towards the back which provides entertainment if you don’t feel like conversing with your peeps. Would i go back? sure.

This place isnt THAT dreadful. yes, the interior décor if there were any is depressing. I only had their fish and chips today, and i thought it was one of the better ones ive had. 1 order without drink = $ 7.63? A bit pricey for Daly City food with only 3 pieces of fish and lots of fries. The burgers looked good, and its DIY like fuddruckers. There were also signs outside claiming they butcher their own meats and grind meat into patties fresh daily. Who can prove that?

One of my favorite burger joints for, what I call, a «CPR burger!» CPR Burger(n) — A burger in which you must apply two hands on top of the bun and apply pressure to be able hold the burger comfortably in one hand. Before Fuddruckers, this place was the home for the«Build Your Condiments Bar.» Lettuce, tomatoes, jalepenos, black olives, relish, pickles, etc. Each burger is made to order the way you want it sitting on the golden buttery buns. The # 1(6 oz cheese burger, fries, and a soda) is my usual order with bacon. It hits the spot! The only downfall is that this branch is a «CASHONLY» spot. After moving away to San Jose for school a few years ago, I found out that there’s Slider USA down on San Carlos. They serve Bison Burgers and have pineapple slices in San Jose.

You make the burgers yourself; how is that you can rate a place this low for something you have total control over? The pricing is a little much, but the you can recover the price fairly easily by just adding on condiments. People: know your taste buds! This place is a great place to figure it out!

I stopped by Slider’s by recommendation of my friend. It’s nice to see that their burgers are fresh and cooked to your liking. I ordered their mushroom swiss burger and I’m glad it came with a nice amount steak fries. It really bugs me sometimes when some places charge you like $ 9 for a burger and still make you pay extra for fries. I also like how they have a nice condiment bar here, though I didn’t really use it because I didn’t really need anything on my mushroom swiss burger. The burger was nicely grilled, but it was really tasteless and I don’t think the melted swiss and sauteed mushrooms could’ve saved it. It was ok though since it did satisfy my burger craving. I don’t know if I’d come back here again though when you have other nearby options like Burgermeister, In-N-Out, and Nation’s.

I don’t know what people are complaining about. Both the chef and the lady at the register are nice and acknowledge me when I walked in. I ordered a 8oz Cheeseburger cooked medium rare with provolone cheese and bacon added onto it. It tasted pretty damn good but maybe it was lunch time and I was a bit hungry. The fries are alright, but the burger made up for that.

I guess any place that has a build your burger condiment area is A+ to me. I had a #1 today for lunch, it was around $ 7.20…I think. It came with a drink, fries, & a cheeseburger. Well done & cheddar please. Burgers are made with ground beef, so food poisoning is not exactly something I want. The burger itself wasn’t tasty enough to eat by itself, so I added mushrooms, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, onions ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard, & whatever looked tasty enough to add on. They also had… alfalfa sprouts, beets… which didn’t seem appetizing for me, but whatever floats your boat… I guess… Fries were okay, not the best so ketchup is a must, but it was ok to eat it by itself. Maybe it just needed a little more salt. I don’t know. Drinks were ehh, the typical iced tea, coke, sprite, fanta, hi-c pink lemonade and root beer? I tried mixing drinks a few times, didn’t turn out right any of the times. I couldn’t drink soda on its own, because that makes me burp A LOT. I couldn’t finish my drink, so I threw it away. Such a waste. The meal was ginormous, I came in starving & left really really really full.

I was cravin for fish and chips one night so my lady and I decided to come here and try it out. I’ve been here a couple times since I live so close and its never really failed on the burgers. Anyhow the fish and chips are OK, could be better and it seems like they kind of fried it twice, you know pre-fry and then fry later when customer orders it again. Too hard on the outside and some parts juicy and some kind of dry. My lady had the grilled chicken burger. you can tell we were not hungry for beef. Grilled chicken burger was alright, a little too burnt but not too bad.

When you first walk in you can smell the great food. They have a wide variety on their menu, but you can always build your own burger. After ordering you can watch them grill your burger on their charcoal grill. They grill the buns as well. When your burger is done you can chose whatever condiments you want, and put as much as you want — via their nicely laid out spread of condiments. I love this factor of the place, since I love eating tomatoes on the side of my cheeseburgers — and you never have to ask for extra stuff. Their fries taste great as well and the staff has always been very nice. The price is very fair and they have a very large seating area for people to dine in. I love it and would actually come here more often instead of Nation’s if they were just open later.

If I had a charcoal grill in my backyard, and I was making burgers, they would taste like Slider’s Diner’s burgers. That’s not a compliment. I’m a bad cook. But it’s kinda hard to mess up burgers, ya? Slider’s burgers are very basic. Basic patties, basic condiments, basic everything. Basically, you wanna go to slider’s if you’re too lazy to make your own burger and are not expecting anything extraordinary. At least Red Robin has its garlic butter(for mushroom burger) and whiskey BBQ sauce or whatever that separates it from other burgers. Slider’s has nothing special. It’s not bad, but nothing special. No wait, there IS something noteworthy. I had a mushroom burger with an additional grilled onion that should’ve been called oil burger with mushroom and onion. The oil was literally flowing down my arm down to my elbow! I had to use six napkins to wipe all the grease AND stuck another napkin in between my hand and the burger like a tampon to prevent another flood of oil. … I just realized right now that maybe I shouldn’t have finished that burger… hmm… I was hungry, okay?

I want to love them so bad, but I can only like them. The food sometimes is either undercooked(and I am talkin chicken people — not good!) or burnt to a crisp(this of course would be my «well done» burger. lol) so though when they cook it the way it should be it is damn good, they just can’t get more than 3 stars out of me. And yeah, it always looks a little dirty — even when it’s clean!

when it comes to burgers, i am pretty picky. i roll my own and have catered plenty of events with burgers. so when I give a 4 star review for a burger joint, it’s for real. well cooked, good flavor, nice buns. better than the Fuddrucker’s up the street. could be cleaner — yes. would be nice if this place took credit cards –yes. is there a better burger in DC — NO.
