Great company who helps you have an amazing trip up the mountain. We were late for our appointment and they ran a desperate truck up for us.

Decent service, although the guy answering the phone threw me a curve when he answered with«Warehouse?» $ 26 per person for bike rental and the shuttle up to White Top for the 17 mile ride back downhill to Damascus. The bikes were in good shape, and they made a minor fitting when we picked them out. They did put an emergency tube set in a bag on one bike. There was supposed to be a water bottle included but no one told us to grab one from the cooler in Damascus so we missed that, not a biggie but could have used better communication.

Overall condition of our bikes were«fair». Missing bolts on the tag a long we rented, luckily we had two out of four bolts needed to connect it to my bike and we made it work. My bike would change gears on its own, making it hard for me to gain speed on the flat part of the trail. Another party made it to the top and their bike needed to be replaced before they started. Another lady in our group had a bike chain that kept on coming loose and she had to walk a portion of the trail. We made the staff aware of our issues and they really didn’t seem to care. We will use a different rental vendor next time.

Excellent customer service, store is well equipped and the manager clearly understands the business. They have a shuttle service that transports people and their bikes to the Virginia creeper trail, plus they rent out bikes! Such a good deal! Today twenty of my friends rented the bikes and biked for 17miles along the Virginia creeper trail, it was so amazing!

The owner was really nice and informative. The store was very organized so it was easy to find what you were looking for whether it was a rental or a retail.

There are many shuttle services to choose from in the area. We chose this one due to a brochure in our vacation rental. They have two locations: one in Damascus and one at Whitetop. We called them to reserve a couple spots on their shuttle. Definitely call in advance, especially during peak season so you have a seat. It was approximately $ 18/adult for shuttle only. I think to rent a bike and take the shuttle, it would have been $ 26 from Damascus. When you call, if you plan on bringing your pup, check with them to ensure that they can take your pup on the shuttle. They are prompt, reliable, and take you to the top or vice-a-versa. I highly recommend parking at the bottom and taking the shuttle to the top to start. Leave some towels in your car so in the event you get muddy on the trail, you can towel off at the end.

Try another place! Terrible selection of bikes in terrible condition. Derailers misaligned, wobbly brake levers, loose front fork that went clunk with every application of the brakes, and my favorite, bike seat broken and leaning to one side AND angled up high enough in the front to cause genital damage(for either sex!). When I asked the disgruntled employee to help adjust the seat he grumbled that if every customer asked for a custom fitting they would never rent any bikes… never mind this was the 4th bike I tried. and let’s not forget the helmet selection: I think there were maybe 6 adult sized ones even though there were at least twice that number of(working?) bikes left in the shop. Went without. To be fair, we rented from the small shop at the top. It may be that the main shop in Demascus is better equipped – I don’t know. The bikes we rented should have been retired long ago. One positive note: the shuttle driver was very nice

Pros: fair price, reliable shuttle service Cons: staff did not seem knowledgeable about bike maintenance, poor selection of helmets for adults To keep it brief: the price was fair, the bikes were decent but there was not a big enough selection to give everyone a bike that fit them properly(which lead to some soreness the next day), but we were able to be shuttled to and from the trail which was nice.
