This shop is strong on talent, professionalism, customer service, skill, and passion. i highly recommend checking out the artists here, and trying them out. Jon Roberts first impressed me 7 years ago with his ability to improvise on the spot, draw quickly, and deliver a great tattoo. since that time i’ve returned to him many times and what he delivered has always outshines what he promised. It’s been amazing to see him grow as an artist, and i feel honored to carry his art with me.

The shop is the best in Montgomery County in my humble opinion. I’ve been tattooed in 3 states and 4 cities and I have more than 30 hours under the machine. If you want quality art then get it done here. Very talented artists, Jon Roberts is my favorite and I literally told him to do whatever he wanted to cover my last failed piece of art. When it’s finished I’ll post pictures.

My experience with Jon Roberts wasn’t a great one. He has an impressive portfolio which is what drew me in, and seems to be talented at replicating something you give him to work with. However, I went in to get a full sleeve done and he was not able to really «create» any artwork for me.
He worked off of images found online, and the elements in my unfinished sleeve do not integrate well with each other, it looks like a collage of individual elements, rather than a full, coherent design.
He was not the most difficult guy to work with, but also not the easiest either. I didn’t feel like he was «excited» to be working on the piece and it didn’t seem like he had a vision for the end result and either didn’t want to/​or couldn’t create a unique custom design in full form.
If I had an image or design on paper that I wanted replicated, I believe my experience would have been different, but I was relying on him as an «artist» to create something cool for me, and ultimately I ended up extremely disappointed. I am currently in the process of expensive and frustrating laser treatments to have the tattoo faded so I can work with someone else to have it covered up and fixed.

By far the best tattoo shop I can imagine! Jon R has done all my tattoos and I love them all and constantly get compliments on them! Ryan and Robby are amazing as well– I have dozens of friends that have tattoos by them. The whole staff is wonderful and make you feel at ease. I can’t wait to a piercing soon with Jocelyn (who is sooo sweet) and another tattoo ASAP!
Note to people with low cars: Park on the street. Do not attempt to get into the lot!

Just got my nostril pierced there today. The piercer was Amazing! She set me right at ease from the start. The piercing was quick and painless! She told me she would like to see me in two weeks because she likes to check up on clients. I loved that! She also gives you her number and let’s you know that she is available with any questions or concerns! I’m considering getting a tattoo and if she is an example of the quality work at Damascus Tattoo Company, I know I will be in good hands.

I wanted to get a tattoo with a friend of mine from out of town. We drove out to this place based on Unilocal reviews. This place was amazing. Jocelyn was so nice and helpful when I told her I was nervous. She told me that Greg might have some time. He was very nice and patient with us. He is very talented and I really appreciate how calm he made us feel. I would recommend him to anyone.

Got a tattoo done by Jon R yesterday! Fantastic studio! They really take the time to do it right! Jocelyn at the front desk is literally the most welcoming person ever and I can’t wait to go back for more watercolor. This shop is exploding with talent! Thanks again Jon!

The amount of talent and skill that is contained in this quaint shop is beyond belief! Ryan and Robby are the most refreshing tattoo artists I have ever met. Robby is friendly, congenial and CRAZY talented. His portrait art is by far the best I have ever seen. Ryan is funny, witty, and has an UNBELIEVEABLY AMAZING vision for your tattoo. His line work is beautiful and he uses color in ways that will blow your mind! Truly two of the best artists I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. In fact, everyone there is super nice and welcoming. I’ve never had a shop call me to confirm an appointment, and Sterling totally does that! They are incredibly professional and I highly recommend them for your next tattoo.

Loved this place, I got a half sleeve Japanese style tattoo done end of the summer by JD & it still looks AMAZING. I get compliments everywhere I go. I would deff be coming back soon to get my side piece done. Not pricey at all. They’re great. Showed me all the tools before taking them out of the package & over all I had a good time every 5 – 6 weeks that I was there for 4 sessions.

It has been just over a month since I got my first tattoo. I chose DTC because of the quality of all the tattoo artist’s portfolios. I was really impressed that such a small (local!) shop had such a wide variety of consistently talented artists.
I needed someone who was superb with color and very detail-​oriented. The second I opened up Ryan’s portfolio, I knew he was my guy. He is extremely friendly, patient and as gentle as one can be while repeatedly sticking you with a needle ;) In fact, everyone in the shop is really cool. I met Ryan for a consultation and we went over what I wanted for my tattoo – a fractal/​color wheel/​flower. I lucked out and got an appointment the next day and when I got there the following night, he showed me his drawing, applied the stencil and got to work. 3 hours later my tattoo was done and I couldn’t have been happier. I jumped around and squealed like a little fan girl, but I couldn’t help it. I loved my tattoo that day and if it’s possible, I am even more obsessed with it today.
I also wanted to note that Anthony did my husband’s tattoo the following week and although it was really simple, he did a great job. His line-​work is impeccable and if you’re in the market for American traditional, Anthony is the way to go.

My girlfriend told me about this place and when my beau was looking for a place to enhance his current art work, I told him to give this place a try to see what they could do for him. He was introduced to JD Grims and so the story began. He’s been several times to work on a cover up and I finally went a few weeks back to start a huge story piece on my body. JD was completely professional yet personable and funny. The place has a genuine feel to it and it’s super clean. Everyone here is really great and it made the time I spent there well worth it! Looking forward to returning… many time! If you’re looking for a kick ass 1 of a kind piece — JD is your man!

I have been conceptualizing a tattoo idea for years and I’ve just been waiting to find someone I can trust to deliver. After seeing a couple pieces of work that’s been done by Robby Latos on my clients I was sold that this is the artist for me.
I Called ahead to schedule a consultation and I was seen the next week. When I met with Robby we found out the only day he has off during the week is the exact same day I only have off as well. More than kindly, he agreed he’d make an exception to work on my tattoo on his day off. (Now THAT’S passion for the craft.) He was very easy to talk to, we went back and forth on ideas I already had and he offered his expert advice on what we should do. Allowing for the both of us to easily understand each others vision.
Every appointment requires a $ 125 deposit which goes towards your tattoo. The prices here are pretty competitive at $ 120/​hr for everything while its $ 180/​hr for lines/​script I believe. Some say that’s pricey but, who would want to save a couple pennies when it comes to permanent body art??? Not me.
The receptionist Jocelyn is extremely friendly and personable each time I’ve been there and she even calls to confirm/​remind people of their appts. The general manager Shioban (hope I didn’t butcher the spelling) is also very friendly and welcoming.
Robby is an award winning artist just like most of the other artists he works with, he mainly specializes in photo realism while there are other artists who specialize in other types of tattoo. All the other artists working at DTC are all very friendly as well!
The main thing I appreciate at DTC is their cleanliness. You can see their autoclaves of which they use to sterilize tools and such.
For our first session we worked on my tattoo for 4, almost 5 hours. The process was very much what I expected, a little uncomfortable but bearable. Robby uses a different type of tattoo gun which makes much less noise than those old ones. I also think that contributed to how comfortable the tattoo process was.
They offered great advice on how to care for my tattoo and they also have a lifetime warranty (basically) on their tattoos. Touch ups are free as long as they are being done by the same artist that did it the first time at DTC.
Not much to complain about. I recommend DTC to ALL my clients and friends and even strangers who stop me regularly to compliment and marvel at my half done tattoo! I look forward to coming tattoo sessions to finish my sleeve!

Im am suprised that in this little town of damascus there is some of the best tattoo artist I have ever seen in my life… these are award winning tattoo artist… if you want a great tattoo and a show off piece you need to come to damascus tattoo company, im a buisness owner/​barber, so I know about treating clients right and making them feel comfortable, and giving the client what they want. Jon roberts goes above and beyond to make sure im very very happy with my tattoo, this is a professional buisness. Tell them TWIN THE BARBER sent you.
