We’re not super picky and normally really love double tree hotels. Not so much this one… a bunch of little things just added up and we won’t be returning here. We booked a room with a balcony… when we got to our room– no balcony. We went back down stairs… told them the situation. Of course it was how it always is with most hotels… they were fully booked blah blah blah. Mind you, we paid extra for the balcony. Finally, after some persistence. .they found us a room– it was handicap assessible. We figured at least it was with a balcony. And it was– overlooking the freeway and a the backlot full of trash in the trees. Lovely. The blanket on the bed smelly like curry lol. The other blanket had holes. We asked for new ones. The shower was in need of repairs and the bathroom fan sounded like a vaccumm. My hubby hit it a few times to get it to work. Don’t go to the resturant– the breakfast buffet was oily and not fresh tasting. For lunch one day we got the nacho appetizer… after 2 trys and 1 hour later. we finally got our appetizer. Didnt stay for lunch. took too long. We were the only people in the resturant and they couldn’t get the order right. after it took so long! Our dt cookies were hard and never warm :( Also, no hot tub The beach is across a busy street and thru a campsite… we ended up driving to a further beach. I normally don’t leave reviews but I gotta say, I wish we would of booked somewhere else. even the holiday Inn nearby seemed nicer. :(

Let me start by saying I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Make a long story short. 1. Front desk on 12÷25÷15 unacceptable 2. Dirty room and bathroom and after they were told didn’t clean 3. Heater broken and given small heater 4 never offered to change rooms

Such an enjoyable stay! I was a little hesitant after seeing some of the comments but luckily I didn’t run into any problems at all :) We stayed in a newly renovated room that had a beautiful view of the ocean. Everything was clean and comfortable. The lobby was decorated for Christmas which was really nice too. Favorite part was the breakfast buffet. We accidentally came 15 mins before they opened, but the staff was really nice and told us we could stay and have some coffee while they finished setting up. Definitely not your typical adequate-tasting buffet food! Really yummy French toast, pastries, etc. Unfortunately I only stayed for one night so I didn’t get to fully explore the hotel, but I’m sure I’ll be back in the future and will write more :)

I came here for a business event and like the set up. Clean, easy to find and organized. Self Parking in the building for $ 8.00 which is always a plus. I would recommend the place for a business meeting.

I hate to say it, but this is not a good Hilton property. The rooms are remodeled, but need to be remodeled again… They were not updated the right way. The service is good, the restaurant is below average and the front desk is so so. Sorry guys, not to my standards.

My go-to place when I’m staying in the area. Staff is very friendly! Location is right across from Doheny Beach. The grounds are nice — pool, lounge area with a fire pit, a couple of decks up top. The ‘art’ in the lobby is a trip! You get up close to it, and it looks like a random assortment of paint chips from home depot. Shoot a pic of it with your cell phone — you’ll be amazed at the picture that comes into view when you do that. I won’t spoil the surprise — just do it — trust me! The remodeled rooms are nice — the non-suite bathrooms are a little tight, but what do you expect, you’re right across from the beach and it doesn’t cost a mortgage payment every three nights. The new beds are comfy! Pleasant place to stay — very good location for the Dana Point area!

As my first time visiting southern California, I was pleased to stay at this hotel. Everything from the amazing views at the rooftop bar to the excellent guest service I received was phenomenal. Upon arrival I was greeted by a smiling valet team and then the upbeat friendly front desk staff who kindly recommended places to eat and things to do nearby. They also mentioned the on site restaurant and bar which I was thrilled to go to after my long flight from the east coast! While there I was greeted by the personable restaurant manager, Lucy who suggested the best margarita I’ve ever had — I guess I can thank the awesome bartender Mike for making it too ;). Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and I can’t wait to get back! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting California, especially in the summer!!!

This hotel is the perfect combination of classiness and ghetto. Pros: — Warm chocolate chip cookies on arrival. This is amazing! — Location! Right across the street from the beach. Out of your hotel room and on the beach in 5 minutes. — Ocean View from our patio.(Not all rooms.) — Dog Friendly! Thanks for letting us bring our dogs on vacation! — Nice(small) pool. A good alternative if you don’t want to get sandy. Shady in the late afternoon in early September. — I got a 25% off deal on Labor Day weekend! — Staff was very friendly and helpful, we had a big truck to park and they were very accommodating. — double doors between bedroom and living room made it nicer to stay with three people. Cons: — Some of the fixtures look brand new while others look old. Maybe just in the middle of renovation? — You are a beach front hotel. Your bars need working blenders! — Not enough pool towels. For real? — Dog friendly, but only sketchy areas to take the dogs to the bathroom. Put up a fence for a little dog run? There’s plenty of room! — Fridge in room wasn’t very cold. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
