I stopped at Global(used to be Fast Freddie’s) for gas and went inside to the Dunkin for an iced tea. I told the young lady who was helping me that I wanted a large iced green tea and showed her the coupon I wanted to use from the Dunkin app. She was really confused, and I had to explain that the coupon was from their app. After she scanned it, I then switched over to the payment option and held up my phone again for her to scan the QR code. She looked confused again and insisted she had already scanned it. She asked another employee, who acted a little impatient when the first employee didn’t immediately understand what she was saying. On a random side note, Dunkin needs to do a better job training its employees. Their app isn’t exactly new and has been out for awhile. So many times I’ve tried to use their app for coupons and to pay, and a lot of the workers have no idea why I’m showing them my phone. I then realized after the order had gone through that I had another coupon for two doughnuts. I ordered a pumpkin and a chocolate on chocolate without sprinkles. When I looked in the bag, I had been given a pumpkin pie and a chocolate on chocolate with sprinkles. When I brought the doughnuts back for my order to be corrected, she tried to tell me that I had asked for sprinkles when I clearly remember asking for none. She did end up correcting my order, and then apologized for the inconvenience. The doughnuts were good, but the pumpkin cake doughnut was very orangey. I later found out through their website that they add artificial food coloring to it, which I think is really unnecessary. According to their website, their chocolate on chocolate cake doughnut contains high fructose corn syrup. Also I thought they could have at least separated the two doughnuts in the bag with a piece of the waxed paper they used to pick them up. Since the two doughnuts were touching, what happened is that the chocolate doughnut ended up having a hint of pumpkin spice flavor. Too Long, Didn’t Read: Employee was unfamiliar with the Dunkin app, employees were rude to each other, iced green tea was good as expected, order got mixed up and employee tried to tell me it was my mistake, artificial ingredients used in doughnuts, and doughnuts were stored together in one bag which made them both taste similar. Not my Dunkin store of choice but I would return to a different Dunkin.
