This place has gone down hill. You walk in and it smells like barf. You have Mimi at the door taking money and the goon at the front door, think his name is Ed, what a loser! Stay away from this place! For real…

Greasy food, bad service. Steak wrap drenched in oil. Server was drinking Bloody Mary and forgot to tend my table.

We went to Molly’s for an early dinner. It was pretty empty. The owner(?) greeted us and showed us to our table. He had a brogue. So, that was authentic. The menu had pretty much everything you would expect from an Irish pub. My wife and I split potato skins as an appetizer. They were good – not great. They could have used some scallions. A rather unimaginative version of skins. For dinner, my wife had Mac ‘n’ cheese, which was creamy and rich. I think there was crumbled bacon on top of it. I ordered fish and chips. Crunchy beer-battered cod. Very good. I would order it again. Our waiter was Greek, I think. Did a great job. Overall, no complaints. Except that the parking lot needs paving.

Great place to go out in Danbury on weekend night! Relatively cheap drinks, good(live) music, pool table, the whole nine yards. Will be going back!

The people working there look miserable. Especially the woman at the door and the«security». Our waiter was very pleasant but I don’t want to eat in a place where all you see are miserable faces. Yuck

The prices have gone up and the quality of the food has gone down. There are much better options all along Mill Plain, time to redo that place.

Updated review: food quality has gone down since my last review, I think I’ll still with Rosy Tomorrow’s. Ok place to hangout when it’s not TOOCRAZY on DJ nights. Max level dbaggery gets underway on «club nights» and since I like talking to people, it’s virtually impossible to hold a decent conversation with anyone. The food is decent, beer selection is ok but it can be better. The best part is the regular crowd at the bar and you can make friends really easily on nights when it’s not crazy busy. They’re upgrading to an organic menu but I wish they changed the items on the menu a little more often.

I chose one star because they had no option for zero. My wife lost her mother in June. She wanted a «fine irish wake» we knew about how many people we had coming. We where directed to contact«Choline» not spelt right but who cares. First contact was«yes we can do it, what ever you want» so we gave her a hold the date. So a few days passes and we had questions on where we could be in the building and prices. We got a copy of there two function menus. We chose and contacted her voice mail and told her. Then had a concern about the handicapped access up stairs so wanted to maybe move it downstairs. Another voicemail. No reply. Let two days pass and left a voicemail to contact us. Nothing. We went there because she told us she is in every day at 9:30 to prepare. Ranf rhe rear bell nothing. This was 10:30. So left another voicemail still no reply. Last voicemail was we found another place. McGuire ale house. You can read my review. This girl was the point person for just events. How sad. Good luck. And fix your roof when we had dinner there the rain water was washing down the wall. The staff moved tables like it is a common occourance. Really? What is the attention like in the kitchen for cleanup?

Was in town for business and I wanted to grab a bite to eat and a beer(or 4). The service(John at the bar) was great and the food was really good too. Definitely would go back

Always saint pattys day here… love a corned beef sandwich and Guinness for lunch with Irish music playing! Service is friendly, prices are fair, and the place is interesting. Feels like you’re in Ireland. I’ll be back.

Quite a good place. We’d been there on a Thursday evening, not many people there. In the beginning the music was okay, after 10 p.m. the DJ played songs we didn’t like that much. The service staff is professional, quick and friendly. The beer prices are rather high in comparison to Europe, US$ 5,50 — US$ 6,00 for a Stella Artois from the draught. The interior is typical for an Irish Pub. Too few restrooms, imagine the pub is crowded! Anyhow, quite okay.

The food is great especially the whiskey BBQ wings. Thursday night is always full of college students. I would recommend going on a Saturday for the live bands, but there is a $ 5 cover at the door. Drinks are expensive and the bartender’s can be rude at times.

Fun place for a few drinks, sometimes a band. Good food, too. Always fun for the ladies not too old, not too young, a good mix

Have been to Molly Darcy’s on several occasions as a group of people I know meet there monthly. This group has been meeting there for quite some time, so one would expect that the restaurant would be prepared to deal with it. On my most recent visit, the service and food had degraded to such a point that I doubt I’d go back under any circumstances. Literally on arrival, the waitress informed us we MUST put our order in immediately, as she had to enter the orders for the entire party(approximately 30 people) all at once. We did so to appease her, and ordered drinks. After 15 minutes, we asked the 2nd waitress for our drinks, which she brought near immediately(we watched her go to the bar and get them). I have never been impressed with either the menu, nor the quality of the food, but it’s «standard pub fare» and was usually ok — not good, but ok. This time, after an extended wait(and we were some of the first of the group to be served), our food came out room temperature at best, and had obviously been sitting under the heat lamps for quite some time. My girlfriends meat loaf looked glazed — obviously from the heat lamps. She said the flavor of the gravy was the best part of the dish, and that the meatloaf itself tasted like it came from a frozen dinner. The chicken piccata I had was not warm, was rubbery and dry, with a sauce that had little to no flavor and was separating on the plate. It was served with cold mashed potatoes(with piccata? WTF?) and mixed vegetables of no flavor at all. The primary server and the bus person seemed bored, disinterested, and unhappy to have to be there. The secondary waitress at least made the attempt to give decent service. Of course, because we were part of a larger group, they added a 20% gratuity automatically. From other comments/reviews, this place is obviously popular with a younger crowd for drinking and dancing. Let them have it. I’ll find another place that cares about their service and food.

Very much your non-pretentious pub. Saw a live band here & you can people watch some. Staff is friendly, bar is pretty big and bathrooms are all right. You could even dance here if you felt so inclined.

Great for live music and drinks, but can get crazy and very crowded. This is probably the biggest bar in the Danbury area and it has a big dance floor and plenty of room for indoor and outdoor dining. The bar staff is outstanding and the prices are pretty good. Live bands play and it does get loud. Another plus is the late hours and TONS of TVs. When school is in session the crowd is mainly college students. Otherwise in the off-season and on weeknights, most of this people who come here are 35+. Parking might be difficult on Saturday nights! They do have bouncers and there’s usually a cover Friday and Saturday nights. On those nights, be prepared, this place can be extremely crowded. Overall, if you want a fun place with a great bar and friendly staff, this is your place to go. If you don’t like crowded places or very loud music, you may want to pass. I was on the fence between giving this place a 4 or 3-star rating, but it’s still one of the better happening places to go in Danbury.
