Just had lunch here with our family on a roadtrip. The absolute nicest staff(hard not to write friendly there…)! Extremely clean and a classic Friendly’s experience that I remember growing up. Recommend highly

Had a good meal and met a lovely woman named Joyce! She reminded me and my friend that life is meant to be enjoyed! At 77 years young she spoke from experience! Thank you Joyce and Friendly’s!

Restoring my faith in the Friendly’s franchise. The service was what I used to expect from a Friendly’s, and the quality and speed of service was great.

We were in a group of 6 staying next door at the hotel. I arrived a few minutes after the rest of the group after they had already ordered. The waitress was busy and had to be called over to take my order, but without a menu, I was left to ask what was available. Rather than take up too much time, I went with a simple order of pancakes. Our food took a little longer than normal, but our waitress did re-fill our coffees, in fact, she left the pot for us. Food wasn’t hot, wasn’t cold when served, the pancakes were actually very good — moist, not too dry, not at all gummy. No one else in the party had a complaint except for the slowness of the service. Price was reasonable. My review may appear that I’m blaming the waitress, but I’m not. She was friendly and as prompt as she could be. I’ve eaten in a few Friendly’s and was a little confused by the slower service at this location until I went to pay the bill and was able to see back into the kitchen area… the staff was short-handed to the point the waitresses also had to was the dishes. Not sure if this is an every day occurrence or just happened while we were there. the food is good and the wait staff friendly, but the lack of help certainly had an affect on the waitresses ability to provide prompt service.

Went here with my husband and parents and my husband got clam strips and also had the sauce to dip them into(not sure the name of it) It had this nasty«loogie» looking thing in the sauce and my husband shows it to the waitress and she took it to the back and we heard some of the other staff laughing and saying«EWWW what is it?». I Also know that the sauce is in a large container so I’m sure that he got sauce out of the same container that the foreign object was in … GROSS … needless to say he didnt finish his dinner and we will NEVER go back.

The place smells horrible… like a wet dog. Price is average, don’t expect anything great.

Review is only for the ice cream. Had ‘Jim Dandy’ and it was very good. Three different ice cream flavors(strawberry, chocolate and vanilla) layered with strawberry fruit, chocolate toppings and some nuts for $ 6. Service was ‘friendly’. Good pit stop on I-80 to stretch your legs, empty your bladder and reload your belly.

Pretty typical Friendly’s. Seems on par with other locations in terms of cleanliness and quality. But when you are seated and someone that walks in 5 minutes after you places their order before you that’s a problem.

Stopped in for lunch with my wife and lil girl. I will say i was disappointed with how outdated the place is. It was a family friendly place. Just a lil expensive for what you get. The server was very good and friendly also. She made the experience better. Overall, I would say it was just an average place. There are better places to eat in Danville.

I love the people who work here! Super friendly and helpful. The food is great too compared to other Friendly’s restaurants I ate at, especially the dinner. Best cheese fries I ever had. :)

I used to love going to Friendly’s when I was a kid and thought it would be nice to check this one out. When I arrived there was a group of three ahead of me. The hostess informed the group there would be a 15 minute wait because there were no tables to accommodate them. They decided to leave and go down the street after the hostess suggested they may have better luck going elsewhere if they didn’t want to wait. I was next and asked the hostess if I could sit at one of the three empty two person booths since it was just me. She said I could sit there, but good luck if a server would wait on me. I looked puzzled and asked why? She said because they are behind. I asked if she thought I should just leave and she said yes… Wow! Thanks friendly’s in Danville, PA.

I’m surprised how good this Friendly’s was as I’ve been disappointed with some others in the past. I went in thinking the food would be mediocre and it ended up being first rate. I had the turkey club melt which was very good. My son had a barbecue chicken sandwich which was very good too. My wife had a chicken cob salad that she enjoyed as well. The waitress was friendly and polite and the manager came out to greet us and ask us if our food was good.

I ate their new Chicken Parm. The veggies and pasta were cold. I found 4 gray hairs in the Chicken Parm. The waitress tried to tell me it was cheese until I picked up the hair and put it in her hand.

This friendly’s location smelled like raw sewage when we walked in, bad enough for 2 out of the 4 people in our party to turn around and want to go elsewhere. But the other 2 said to deal with it since we were already behind on our road trip and didn’t want to scout out another place to eat. The food was nothing special if you’ve dined at a friendly’s before, same fatty deep fried crap that will make you regret eating it 2 hours later, which is exactly how we all felt once we got down the road. Water/soda glasses were dirty, servers kept talking to us like they were bored, they were annoying as hell. Go clean something! $ 42 bill for 4 people for sandwiches is a bit on the high side, no wonder this chain is slowly dying off.

If I compare this Friendly’s to the Perkins where we had breakfast the next day, it definitely rates no higher than 2 stars. The entire restaurant had a very tired feel to it, complete with vague and unpleasant smell. My omelet was sad looking. The lumberjack breakfast, however, looked pretty darn good. Waitress was friendly, but general atmosphere left a lot to be desired.

This place is the very definition of average. The cleanliness is average. The atmosphere is average. The food is average. The service is average. The price is average. The desserts, however, tend to be quite on the yummy side! As long as you’re not expecting the world, this place makes for a decent Applebee’s or TGIFriday’s substitute. Also, I loved this place as a kid with their monster sundae!

Really greasy, really unhealthy, and really delicious. Now, when I say delicious, I’m comparing it to TGI Fridays, Chilli’s, Hooters, and the like… This place really does a much better job of making their food taste good, and are unapologetic about how fattening they are(they’re not«low fat» part of the menu). They also make some delicious ice-cream desserts and the prices are very reasonable. Not something I should eat often(or at all), but sometimes you just want some good junk.
