We are very grateful to Dr. Humphrey for seeing my wife without an appointment near closing time on Friday before the start of the holiday weekend. He is so thoughtful and caring.
My wife forgot to show him one problem, and he came to her to help in the parking lot. He got out of his car and left the engine running!

I have been a patient of Dr. Humphrey since 1996. I can’t say enough good things about him. JB is thoughtful, caring and makes you feel like you are the most important person he is seeing today. He cares about my heath and how to make sure that I will live to see my 50^th wedding anniversary! In this day and age of impersonal medical care, he is a throw-​back to when doctors cared and spent the time to diagnose the problem, recommend a solution and follow-​up to see how things are going. I know I am in good hands, whenever I need his help.

It is rare that I take the time to write a review. In this case, Dr Humphrey has so impressed me with his service I felt compelled to do so. Dr. Humphrey is very efficient in his exams and diagnostics and educates his patients during their evaluation about whatever condition affects them. He is not overeager in making unnecessary referrals, in my case, he resolved a minor procedure in 20 minutes that a previous Dr insisted would be a full day in the hospital with general anesthesia. If more doctors had the competence and integrity of Dr Humphrey, I’m sure our health care costs would be managed much, much better.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Humphrey. Every time I go in he treats me like I’m his only patient (although I know he has plenty of patients). He is always sincere, non-​judgmental, and helpful when explaining different methods or medicines to me. I feel he is committed to seeing me through my medical problem to the end. He was recommended to me by a good friend, whose father is a Dr. and tells her he’s the best there is. I agree!

Can’t say enough about Dr. Humphrey (and Dr. Roberts, Suzanne, etc) I have been a patient for more than 15 years and LOVE THEM ALL! My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the care we have received. I credit Suzanne and Dr. Humphrey with saving my husband’s life by not relying on a PSA and urging him to have a biopsy– His Cancer was diagnosed early enough to be treated. Dr. Humphrey (and Suzanne) were there with us every step of the way!

I have been going to Blackhawk Medical since the early 90’s. I originally was going to Dr. Roberts, who was great, but in high demand, so when he brought in a new associate, Dr. Humphrey, I tried him. And I have been treating with him ever since. He is the most amazing doctor. I am a migraine sufferer and Dr. Humphrey has been on the journey to help me for almost 20 years. He keeps on top of the latest research and we have tried various protocols to keep my migraines in check. We have finally found a protocol that seems to be working. In 2000, I moved to Southern California, but I still travel to Northern California at least once a year to see Dr. Humphrey. No one is more caring and involved with his patients that he is. He really listens to what you have to say and wants to help. Actually, when I was in the process of moving between No Cal to So Cal, one weekend when I was home in No Cal, I was suffering with a sinus infection. I called the after hours number to see if I could get a prescription called in before I hopped back on a plane. It turned out that it was Dr. Humphrey’s day on call. He not only called me back, he drove to my house and brought me samples so that I would have enough medications to get me back to Southern California. I have referred numerous friends and family to him and EVERYONE loves him. Yup, you may have to wait, but he doesn’t scrimp on spending time with you if you need it, and that is worth waiting for.

fabulous doc! Very knowledgeable with addiction. Saved me life by confronting me about my weight. Forced me to lose weight. Probably saved my life!
