Had a pleasant evening here with dinner and drinks. I got a greyhound at the bar during happy hour which was made surprisingly strong for dinner, I had their spinach ravioli which was indeed very creamy though not as overpowering as other places. It was definitely a well-balanced dish, but if creamy is not your thing, I would recommend finding a different dish. We hardly had room for dessert but I’ve heard their gelato is wonderful. I had the cappuccino gelato and was not disappointed. Favorite part of the meal actually so be sure to save room for dessert!

The manager, Art, is a very nice person and made our meal very enjoyable. Felt like we were eating at his place and he wanted to make it comfortable and fun. The food was delicious and my mushroom pizza was great. Don’t know why I haven’t been here before but its now on my short list for Italian food.

Our family loves to go to Piatti to celebrate special occasions. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed enough to welcome kids, and not so casual that you feel like you are in a loud and crazy family restaurant. We are especially fond of their creative menu that offers a variety of dishes made with quality and seasonal ingredients. Main dishes do need the addition of side dishes, as they tend to be low on vegetables, at least to my standards. Special mention to their extensive gluten-free menu and care to avoid cross-contamination. Service is always friendly and exceptional!

Delicious food, great service! We ate here few times and loved their food and service we got. Last year, our family decided not to cook for Thanksgiving, so we met at Piatti’s for some turkey meal fun. Menu was great, we chose turkey, mushed potatoes and veggies(only yumms didn’t taste that good, it seems they put vinegar, they were too sour). Everyone enjoyed a nice meal, especially their home made pumpkin pie. We also tried apple crisp but it was too sweet. Mixed green and Caesar salads were good too(good dressing). We are always happy here, and this year again, our Thanksgiving feast will definitely be at this place.

Wonderful birthday dinner at Piatti’s! I had no idea they could stamp the menu for you, to make it more festive. Not only was the dinner fabulous, but the waiter was super, and so helpful, and the meal was just perfect from start to finish! Loved the steak! Loved the cocktail! Loved the dessert.

Updated review — we still like Piatti’s for good Italian food but found that we frequent it less since its so much easier to grab reservations at Gianni’s while takeout is easier from Melo’s. I managed to book Piatti this time for dinner and am happy to maintain 4 stars. Marinated olives are great for sharing as an appetizer. Mixed Green Salads had nice acidity, freshness, and sweetness from good amount of candied walnuts. 4 stars. Spicy Prawn Chitarra was executed perfectly this time. This is our all-time favorite pasta dish at Piatti’s. Plump prawns, pasta cooked al-dente, and this really nice semi-spicy broth. 5 stars! The Wood-Grilled Salmon looked gorgeous, with a side of polenta cake, roasted asparagus, and this pool of pea purée. The salmon skin was good and crispy but I found the salmon meat itself on the dry side. Sigh — almost there just not quite. 3.5 stars.

Still loving this place. We come here usually just to relax and our kids really enjoy coming here because they can make their own pizza for dinner! Anyway we usually start with the prince Edward mussels which is mildly spicy but has a great zing to it and the calamari. The only thing with the calamari is it seems like there are a lot of veggies included which my kids could care less but the sauces that comes with it makes it really good. The house bread and dip is also pretty awesome and the entrée selections are really top notch as well. We like going with the salmon, or the chicken or if we are feeling like not breaking the bank I would just share a pizza with my wife since we always has to have the 2 appetizers.

First time here since I’m not from the area. Our waitress, Erin, was beyond great. So sweet and she had great recommendations. The manager Eric?(I hope that’s his name) was wonderful!!! They found out it was our first time there and gave us dessert on the house to show their appreciation. Enough about the fantastic people let’s talk food! Let me just say that it is delicious. Try not to get full on the warm soft bread with the perfect blend of spices and oils. I had the ravioli topped with salmon with a side of mashed potatoes! It was all cooked so well! My friend had the pork chop which she devoured as she said that it was by far one of the best that she’s ever had. We had the apple crumb and even though we thought we had no room for dessert, it sure disappeared in about 10 minutes. Great place, food, service and folks.

This is an update from my original review. After having a bad experience the first time I went to Piatti, I left a bad review on Unilocal and to my surprise, Piatti’s manager, John Perkins reached out to me to apologize and offered me a gift card to encourage a second visit. Due to his kindness and promptness in handling my complaint, I went back. This time, I am happy to say, that I really enjoyed my experience. Service was excellent. We were seated right away and the server was incredible at his job. He offered to share the specials with us and did an amazing job checking in on us to make sure everything was going well. For the appetizers, we had the mussels and the polenta crusted prawns. The seafood was fresh and delicious. I really enjoyed the array of flavors in the prawns. The spinach ricotta ravioli was light without being overly cheesy. The wood cooked salmon was cooked just right and had amazing flavors as well. For dessert, I got tiramisu which is my personal favorite and I am happy to say that Piatti delivered. It had just the right amount of espresso and was incredibly moist. I will definitely come back again. I want to applaud John Perkins for handling my first bad experience so efficiently and I think that Piatti is lucky to have him.

#51 Fantastic, yummy, delicious, superior service, yada, yada, yada… I cannot say enough to praise this place. I met a few friends at Piatti last night for dinner and drinks. I was among the first to arrive so I took a spot at the bar and was tended to by Brett, one of the most personable bartenders in all of Danville. He was warm, caring, charming and attentive. He even changed the TV from golf to basketball for me as I drank my martini and waited for my group to arrive. Finally, some of the group showed so we grabbed a round of martinis for ourselves and waited just a minute or two for the last couple to arrive. Now we are all here and ready for our table. We closed our bar tab and were led through the dinning room, past the clean open kitchen, to our large table. Not but a few seconds after we were comfortably seated the huge bread baskets and plates of delicious house made seasoned oil arrive on our table top. So delicious. They even sell bottles of this oil for $ 12, which is a steal in my book. I meant to purchase one for home, but after a few martinis my thoughts were not all that focused – now I have an excuse to return soon. We began with a few appetizers: Shrimp w Polenta Crust Beef Carpaccio Calamari Next: Mushroom Soup Sunchoke and Pear Soup Baby Kale and Fennel Salad All of the starters were super amazing. The shrimp was wonderfully prepared overtop a delicious slice of cornbread and drizzled with garlic and cooked with bacon. The beef carpaccio was so delicately sliced and a tiny bit of olive oil crowned this dish. The calamari was also quite yummy, lightly battered and fried. My favorite part of the starters was the mushroom soup. It was not featured on the menu last night, but was offered as a chef’s special. So pleased with this soup. Thick and creamy in a rich, dark rue that actually melted in your mouth. I actually dreamt of that soup last night. We all talked and shared each other’s wines and cocktails and ate too much of that yummy bread with oil – we forgot that we had not ordered. Wow… Time for dinner: Bone in Pork Chop Crusted Sole Spinach Ricotta Ravioli Roasted Chicken Three and a Half Hour Marinara w Pasta I tried everyone’s dish and was super pleased that I had picked the Sole as it really was the best dish I had tasted – also not on the menu for the evening but recommended by our service professional. The Sole was presented overtop farrow and smothered in a rich, thick, creamy sauce.(I could feel my earlier hours in the gym being stripped from me, but Y.O.L.O., right?) I tasted that wonderful Ravioli, in that rich buttery sauce – fantastic. The roasted Chicken was also baked to perfection, and rather huge portions. Finally, that pork chop was so tender and charred to absolute perfection. Everything was a hit – from the service to the fresh and creatively designed product. Thank you Piatti for making my dinner so wonderful. I now have you bookmarked in my brain for lovely dinner places in Danville. Stephani Smiles for Piatti ;) #discoveringnewdinnerspotsnearhome

Let’s be real, we all come here for the bread! I’ve always enjoyed this restaurant and have never been disappointed. I recently came here and was so pleased with the service. Our server was very knowledgable about the menu and gave great recommendations. I ordered the angel hair pasta. Everything was cooked to perfection. My mom ordered a delicious salad and my boyfriends pizza was great as well! Cannot wait to come back here once I am back in town!

Piatti is a definite«go to» for us. It has great atmosphere and service. I typically get the bolognese pasta, but have enjoyed the salmon(various specials) as well. The warm, crusty bread at the start of the meal is a favorite. The small salads are always fresh. One of my recent favorites is the spinach chicken salad. The amount of chicken is generous and served warm. It is almost like pulled chicken, definitely not grilled. Desserts are tasty too. Try the tiramisu or one of the gelato specials. The salted caramel is divine.

They make brussels sprouts taste good. And I think it’s safe to say that you can order pretty much anything on the menu and it’ll be deeelicious. It’s also a nice sit down restaurant that looks a lot fancier than the prices reflect, which I’m definitely okay with! Everyone is consistently friendly which makes for a great dining experience and the servers have always packed extra bread and dipping sauce with our leftovers!

Piatti’s is a consistently great meal. Whether I have come in for lunch, dinner, or even Thanksgiving it does not disappoint. The wait can be long at times, but isn’t that a hallmark of a great restaurant? The staff are more than accommodating and eager to serve. If there is one thing that I think you have to order and share, it is the calamari appetizer. It is amazing that they have taken something to commonly served and done it so well. I will be back again this year for Thanksgiving and am looking forward to it! What did I learn today? Make reservations in advance. It is tough to get a table last minute unless you want to sit in the bar.

Outdoor seating is really nice– even on a hot day. The patio is shaded and there is a good breeze that flows through. Plenty of parking in the lot. We made a reservation and were seated right away. Brunch goes a little past 2pm on Sundays. I enjoyed that chopped greens salad with shrimp. The mushroom pizza was also delicious(thin crust, rustic style). They offered a unique cocktail list and even a few creative non-alcoholic mixed drinks. Desserts were all delicious– the caramel sea salt ice cream with balsamic over top was definitely something to try! The fig cheesecake was pretty light and airy for a cheesecake. Crème brûlée was standard– also a good choice.

I came here with my fiancé for Lunch for the first time. We walked in and we had to wait a while before we got seated because the host at the podium was on the phone. None of the other staff decided to hop in to offer help with seating people because there was a line forming behind us. But once the hostess was off the phone, the waiters decide to offer help. I had ordered the pork chop, which was pretty good. And tender. The crème potato that was served with it was just DELICIOUS. But not enough. My fiancé ordered the margharita pizza. It was so so. Not enough tomato sauce. It’s tooooo simple for a margharita pizza.

Wednesday night we stopped in Piatti for a late night Italian dinner. It was about 8:40 pm and the restaurant was almost full. After getting seated we asked our server for some recommendations. After ordering there was warm bread which was so good I had to make myself stop eating it. They make a Italian Mojito which was excellent. The food came out fast, here is what we ordered: Fried Calamari 4 stars served with a ranch sauce and spicy tomato purée’ Beef Carpaccio 4 stars served with capers Angel Hair Pasta 4 stars perfectly cooked al dente’ Sausage and Arugula Pizza 3 stars just OK crust was soggy Pappardelle with Clams 3 stars the pasta was unevenly cooked because there were thick and thin strips Roast Pork Risotto 1 star so salty it was uneatable, sent back and taken off bill The risotto was so salty that we sent it back the waiter and the manager apologized and took it of the bill. Service was excellent. Plenty of parking in the Livery Shopping Center. The restaurant is a large open room with an open Kitchen and is quite noisy. 3.5 stars round up to 4
