Everything I’ve tried is good but I usually end up ordering the Italian sausage sandwich. They have pretty good prices as well

Great family owned restaurant. Food made from scratch… The bread is like no other and the sauce is amazing. I LOVE the Italian meatball on garlic bread! Can’t beat the price… lunch special is only $ 2.75 for 8″ sandwiches snd $ 4.25 for spaghetti with bread… best believe I am a devoted customer.

Grinders!!! Their family spaghetti dinner is the only thing you ever need to get from there. Absolutely delicious!

My wife and I love this place. We always get the spaghetti family feast. Good stuff! The staff is always friendly. Good place to go for good Italian food.

This place always makes me happy with the great food and old fashioned manner. They can be slow at times but perfection is worth the wait

I was really impressed by the food at Grinder’s — didn’t expect it to be so good just from looking at the appearance. Unfortunately, the past two times I have been to Grinder’s I have found hair in my spaghetti. The first time I thought it was just a freak accident. I was there again and had the same problem. Suffice to say I won’t be going back.

This place was a staple for me in college, as it is right down the road from St. Ambrose University. Also, it’s very cheap! Cheap is always good for college kids. Aside from those two good qualities, I love this place because the food is great. It’s pretty simple in presentation, but it’s always enjoyable. I’m a big fan of their ravioli and tortellini. Their garlic bread! Oh, don’t get me started on that. I’m pretty sure I could eat an entire loaf(or two) of that in one sitting. It’s so, so good! The presentation is pretty simple. Food is served on Styrofoam plates. The décor of the restaurant itself could use some updating. It’s definitely not trying to a be a fancy restaurant in there. Food is ordered by walking up to a window(which can make for a long line when they are busy). After ordering, you are given a number and you pick out your own table from whatever is available. The wait for your food is usually pretty short, so that’s a definite bonus. Overall, this is a great place for a quick and cheap lunch or dinner. The food is very good, but the restaurant leaves a bit to be desired. It’s not terrible or junky, it just needs some work.
