Planets and galaxies?! Sign me up! So here’s the deal Wednesday, Friday and Saturday they offer FREE stargazing using their professional telescopes from 8pm-​10pm. It’s a great place to go chill outside, be sure to bring bug spray.
We got there at 7:30pm and completely missed the daily showing inside the planetarium that starts at 7:00pm and cost $ 4 for an hour long show which is a deal on its own. Around 8:05pm we walked to the next building where the astronomer set up telescopes, today Venus, Jupiter and the moon were on display.
It’s surreal seeing these GINORMOUS planets through a little lens. Made me feel like an ant!
Next time I definitely wanna show up early maybe on a cooler night since the stargazing is on a patio. Plus those pesky bugs might not be around if it’s cooler! *crosses fingers*

We arrived just before the scheduled show and the rude young man at the counter said he had already closed the doors and we were just out of luck! Shame on you all!

I went here today with a group of kids for a visit. And I remember going here when I was younger and it was super cool.
You sit in reclined seats, and gaze up at the stars. The storyline was a bit corny, but I learned why we have seasons on the Earth. I had fun locating the big dipper and such. The guy that showed us the constellations had a little fun with the kids and had time to do a Q&A.
All in all the kids had a lot of fun, but for the most part, I just sat back and relaxed.
