Carvel Ice Cream

I went here today with my two kids that are ages five and six. Half way through eating our ice cream I realized we had no napkins. In fact, there was not one napkin dispensary to be found. I had to get up and ask for them. The owner counted out exactly three napkins and handed them to me. Seriously? Cheap and tacky. I kind of wish my kids had made a mess so the owner would have had to clean it up since I would have had no napkins to do it myself.
Not planning a return visit anytime soon.

The owner was friendly and very attentive to us, the ice cream was very good and the place was clean

Went in to try out their milkshake. One person handling a line of about five people. Waiting for about fifteen to twenty minutes. When i got to the front of the line (i was second in line) the gentleman told me they where out of milk and couldn’t make milkshakes. Left disappointed wishing an announcment would have been made to advise prior to my waiting.

Such a good ice cream company with such disgusting non accommodating service very extremely cheap and rude I do not suggest !!!

So I’ve been on a pretty successful fitness journey, but this past Thursday I splurged a little and decided I wanted Carvel ice cream after dinner. They advertised a special of thick shakes by one get ½ of 2^nd, I think. Well, we decide to go for that and we ordered two medium cookies and crème shakes. As Tyrone tasted his shake he didn’t look pleased. I asked what was wrong and he stated that his shake wasn’t thick and he could barely taste the cookie. He also expressed it to the attendant, who I think is the owner. The guy told Tyrone he didn’t care what he thought and that it was by his standards… fine! Tyrone asked him to add more ice cream to thicken it up. As he proceeded to go add the lady behind the counter began to yell at him saying YOU CANT DO IT over and over. As she hands me my shake, which was also not thick. We kindly asked that they hand over Tyrone’s shake that I kept in my view. We left without further incident but I will NEVER patronize this carvel again. Very rude people. No people skills. Poor customer service! Can’t remember what happened but I recall my last visit there not being a pleasant experience. Ice cream parlors should be happy places! Horrible!

That chino was not cool to my 5 year old son. I’m 37 years old and I have been carvel eating since I could remember. Don’t we get to sample a modest flavor or two? Well on my sons second flavor he chose after his half sample… then time to choose toppings, that’s when old chino got aggressive just because I wanted my son to choose with his eyes. He said «you don’t know what we have? Sprinkles. You never had sprinkles?»
That’s when I told that assho** to keep his ice cream

I went after hours because it wasn’t updated online. He actually unlocked the door and said he’s happy to do anything he can do to help. He was so nice. I’ve went twice before and hated the icecream and wasn’t fond of the guy but I think i was just misunderstanding him. I ordered hard chocolate icecream on a waffle cone this time. The hard ice cream is definitely better than the soft that I tried before. Nothing extra special but it got the job done.

If I could give negative stars, I would!!! We went to get ice cream and the old gentleman who was served before us dropped his junior sized cone on the floor. I picked it up off the floor for the man and told the owner what happened and asked if he would please help replace it. Before the man who dropped his cone could say a word, he owner yelled at everyone and said it was a free cone and it’s not his fault he dropped it. We were amazed by the owner who started to scream at he old man!!! He yelled at him and we decided that we did not want to give this owner any business. Other people walking in heard the owner yelling and went elsewhere.

Carvel ice cream is a classic, but this location is awful. In the three times I’ve been there, the same older gentleman who works behind the counter consistently rips you off on the amount of ice cream you get. The amount is maybe 75% of what is advertised. I never complained because it is t a huge deal, but my final trip there will be a last. I ordered a special holiday peppermint sundae. In the picture. There was peppermint ice cream, whipped cream and fudge. When my order came back with no fudge, I asked for some. I got an argument, a teaspoon of fudge, and a $ 2.00 charge. I had already paid more than enough for the initial sundae. This man’s cheap customer treatment will run him out of business.

The guy who owns/​runs this place is definitely Crazy! You don’t get it your way, you get it his way. Still it’s pretty funny going in here just to ask for ridiculous requests and see this guy get wound up.

Very disappointed with this location, first off the hours on Unilocal are incorrect, as on the sign on the door states they are only open until 9:30pm on fridays.
My family and I wanted to get ice cream, so we decided to go to carvel it was 9:04pm when we walked up to the doors and they were locked. I looked at the sign again to make sure and it read open until 9:30pm. I looked inside and saw an elderly man which I’m assuming is the manager sweeping the floors, I tapped on the window to inquire on why the doors were locked. He just looked over to me and shrugged his shoulders and made hand gestures that they were closed, then just looked away and continued sweeping.
If a store is not going to follow what they advise their store hours are going to be, why bother posting it up.

This Carvel store is where I go when I have a MAD sugar craving. Baskin Robbins doesn’t have NOTHING on this place. For 4 bucks, I come out with a gigantic waffle cone loaded up with cookie dough and rainbow sprinkles-​my combo.
The guy who owns the place seems to be the only one who I have ever seen in here and he always takes care of me. I am legitimately shocked this location doesn’t get more foot traffic considering the strip mall location and the farmers’ market next door. Regardless, he is always awesome and knows how to put sprinkles on a cone (you DUNK THE CONE, not sprinkle the sprinkles, no matter how much that seems to make sense!) My first job at 15 was an ice cream shop. I like my ice cream coated in sprinkles, not to look like a couple of rainbow ants crawled on there.
I come back here every time I drop my pup off at the groomer’s since it seems to be the only time I’m in this plaza, but it never disappoints and there’s never a line: D

I love carvel, growing up carvel was an everyday treat for my siblings and I. But I hate this location. The poor old man that works here is the only one ever there available to help. Moreover, you would think that the owner would provide exceptionally service to keep his business going but in fact he doesn’t! He charges extra for everything! Literally-​everything! And I totally hate the way he is so stingy with the amount of ice cream he puts in a «large» cup?! Like hello? But needless to say thankfully the owner doesn’t make the ice cream and its a franchise so the ice cream is always good! Don’t expect the best service, just except good ice cream

The store opens at 11. So I show up at 12:30, and not only is it closed, but the guy working there literally shooed me away (with the hand gesture and everything) and said he wasn’t open until 1. I don’t understand why they would post the hours of the store on the window when they don’t honor it, and act like approaching customers are an inconvenience.

Yummmmmm! I had never been to a carvel before but my husband grew up going to carvel with his grandparents. The owner was working all alone but he was very friendly and served us with a smile on his face. Ice cream was very yummy and I’m already craving more!

So Good to have a Carvel around. The staff is wonderful and always greet you with a smile. :-)
