When you are in the mood for a good burger this place never disappoints. Always freshly prepared with not too much wait time.
Always found the staff courteous and respectful
Order the blue burger its the best and not a greasy mess like other joints, lots of taste and not overwhelmed with the cheese.
You can even have an ice cold beer to wash it down

Yuummy burgers and fries, anytime i dont feel like grilling i nust come here, great great food. Great burgers, every single time.

So we decided to try this burger place, and to not make my review lengthy it SUCKED.
We waited for a long time to get our food, there was no one inside when we got there but yet the people after us got their food first. Fries were horrible soaked in oil and soggy and the burgers had no taste at all! Husband and I were very disappointed. Guy at the register (John) was a bit rude. Never going there again!

The burgers here are always good, although I think the prices may be a little steep for what you get. The staff is always friendly and if you are a college student in the area don’t forget about the discount when showing your student ID!

So we were actually on our way to another burger joint (won’t mention) and I confused the location and stumbled at knucklehead burger and decided to give it a try this past weekend.
First off when walking in this place is on the small scale I don’t see more than twenty people in there sitting comfortably. But they do have large benches outside area. When we arrived there were only four other guest seated in one side. We were greeted and helped with the menu.
I ordered a kids burger for my oldest son with French fries and chicken tender for my youngest with French fries. Nothing out of the ordinary of course better than fast food duh!
I ordered their mushroom Swiss burger with fries and you can actually choose seasoning so I went with Cajun fries! The fries were delish the burger I would say was missing something it was on the plain side nothing special. I would probably not order the burger again and try something else.
My husband ordered the rodeo burger it the presentation was great. He definitely did enjoy his burger but he actually took the burger apart to remove excess barbecue sauce from the burger. He said he really didn’t taste anything but barbecue sauce. He also wouldn’t order this burger again. He season his fries with parmesan and he loved it I personally don’t care for parmesan.
I can say overall experience wasn’t bad but would give this place a second shot we would just try something else in their menu.
The hot chips were good! I always enjoy a free item!

Meh. The (fresh & delish) bun was so thick & the BBQ sauce so strong & abundant that I couldn’t taste the meat.
The hot chips took so long that I was finished with my burger before they came out. I noticed that the same thing happened to the guys who ordered after I did. I asked to take the chips to go, at the same time inquiring if they were already salted, & was told they were. I was very disappointed to find, several blocks away, that they in fact had NO salt — & no taste. About the only good thing I can say about the chips is that they were not at all greasy, so I’m guessing with salt & maybe some hot sauce, they’d be okay.
The burger came out hot & cooked pretty close to the temp I ordered, so I’d say that if I ordered differently, I bet I’d like it better. It was not worth the almost $ 9, though.

this place is neither good or bad! it is average. I would like it more if they had real lemonade! the location is good with plenty of parking and the employees are not bad (they seem friendly) just the food is not as good as it could be.

Burgers here are ALWAYS on point. Made to order and cooked how you like. I love the flavor better than five guys, or burgerfi. (And I like both of those places as well) I usually get the chips or fries which are made fresh to order. The cajun seasoning is awesome as is the chipotle mayo! There is also a selection of craft beers to choose from. Last time we went in we ordered our burgers in lettuce and had no sides. We had water to drink and the bill was a little over $ 17.00. A little pricier of a burger joint but worth it for the quality and freshness.
There is no ambiance to this place. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Worth checking out if youre in the area.

Delicious burger at an affordable price!
Tonight I decided to try out this spot after seeing it’s reviews on Unilocal for a while now. Located off Griffin & University, this burger joint is worth the 15 min drive to get there.
After taking a menu, sitting down & reading it, I decided to order the Rise n’ Shiner burger (checked in & got an order of hot chips with my purchase) The burger itself is around $ 7.99, topped with an egg, cheddar cheese & bacon. The condiments like lettuce, tomato, mayo, etc come at no extra charge.
Once I finished paying at the counter I was handed a number to place on a stand on the table. Within 10 – 15 mins my freshly made burger was brought to my table along with pipping hot potato chips.
The burger was great (needed a little more salt & pepper to my taste) the first bite broke into the egg yolk & the bun soaked up the flavor. All the ingredients tasted fresh which made for an even better experience.
The potato chips are amazing, added salt as soon as they got to the table while the oil was still drying & a side of ketchup complimented them perfectly.
The cons:
–Sadly, I didn’t experience the bacon (wasn’t added but was later given a coupon for bacon on my next visit)
–3 tables were out of ketchup & had to go to a 4^th for some (first world problems)
I’ll definitely be stopping by again… Gotta get my bacon fix!

Great fresh tasty burgers served hot and fast.
Everything is cooked to order, so just sit down and watch tv till they bring the hot goodness! I like the Swiss burger and I love the hot spicy homeade potato chips
One star off for parking. It’s not that great at peak times.

Nice find, its my new favorite burger joint in the Davie area over burgerfi and burger 21. The burgers are grilled medium just right and they go between these great soft moist buns, love em. Also def order the chips… ur not just getting fresh potato chips ur getting them in giant crispy potatoe chip slices! Though I did feel they were a bit over seasoned with salt (could just have been not as uniformly put on). Service was fast and great

I’ve been coming here off and on since they opened a couple of years ago. In the beginning, there were a few consistency issues, but they seemed to have tightened up, but then again, I don’t live in Cooper City anymore, hence I don’t go very often unless I’m in the area and whoever I am with wants to try an original burger joint. It seems as though my most recent visit was one of the better times I have been here so at least my last visit ended on a high note but remember when places have consistency issues, YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary). I pretty much stick with the Rise n’ Shiner when I come through because I always like bacon and egg on my burger. Their regular burgers are ok as well, and often fry portions seem generous. Combo packages are available as well.

Knucklehead Burger 7÷14÷15 — On University Dr north of Sheraton St. Parking is ok, they have now reserved some spots in front, I have eaten here since they opened, but just getting to a review. Décor bright clean, but a little odd — like the name, but I like it, in a kid kind of way. (they are honoring the 3 Stooges) Ok type Music playing & a couple of TVs on too watch, some craft beers available, seating is at tables, No comfortable booths, today visit a little odd — printed menu says close at 11pm, but door times has changed again from 10pm to now 9p?. While trying to eat my burger, a guy was cleaning & flipping chairs onto table at 8:40pm? — Told them I had wanted a burger to go after, I ate in the place, & cashier was pushing for to go order. (Hot Date, I guess?)
Let’s talk about the Burger. I Always like their CAB blend Certified Angus Blend of beef patty. It’s cooked on a flat top grill which it tends to cook in its own fat, makes for a little juicier, but greasy burger… Still good though.
Today burger asked for both medium, 1^st one was over cooked. Had Le Bleu Bruiser Burger, it’s a good combination, nice slice of bacon, Bleu cheese, caramelized onions, on a nice fresh baked fluffy egg roll bun. To go Swissshrom burger, also good & cooked. Fries are medium thickness & seem natural good & flavorful. Self serve soda fountain w/​a small selection
Cost $ 25 plus a guilt tip request bucket & line on cc recite, it’s self serve joint?

The french fries are the best part of this place! For real! So crispy and not oily at all!
The service sucks! Super sucks! It’s a shame.
The burgers are nice, but I’m not sure if I would drive from Fort Lauderdale again to eat them here. Anyway; we had the spicy burger and the one that comes with onions rings; however, we were not asked how we wanted them to be cooked.
Clean place and nice décor, the location is also convenient and easy to find.

It pains me to downgrade this review because I remember how good they used to be. So we both lose. The burgers are no longer 5 star quality. The buns don’t taste fresh, and the patties are always under cooked. The last two times I ordered my burgers medium because I noticed the trend. The staff is still nice, but seem bored. This is a shame because the place is very convenient for me and I loved the way they used to make their burgers.

I literally love this place.
However, the air is so freaking cold that I’m so uncomfortable to go inside. I used to go once a week sometimes even twice a week and bring a lot of friends. I does my boyfriend I got my friends from college and we had a blast.
But now the place is just so cold I think it’s like 60° in there. I’m a Florida girl and maybe this complaint is not valid for most people but I cannot take it. I have two girlfriends meeting me and I’m actually driving away now because it is so freaking uncomfortable and that burger joint.
Good luck knuckleheads. Now I know why it’s called that…

This was one of the three stops for a very unique UYE.
Three burger joints in the same event… are you kidding me? I wouldn’t be surprised if I were in the «burger-​coma» before the event ends. But I love a good challenge… LOL!
A group of Burger-​Loving Unilocalers decided to come together and sample some good burgers together. Thanks to Savanna M’s hard work to make this event possible, we had a really good turn out. We arrived a little early so I had plenty of time to decide what I wanted to try. It was not a easy task because all the burgers in the menu sounded delicious. Finally I decide to try their Rodeo Burger. Its a burger topped with a big smoked pecan bacon, loaded with cheddar cheese, onion rings and a hickory BBQ sauce. Wow! It was yummy. What makes it better are the free potato chips with a Unilocal!check-​in.
Other than the yummy burgers, the service was excellent! They went out of their way to accommodate our group. The restaurant was neat and clean… the décor throw me off a little, but other than that, its a pretty good burger joint.

3 burger spots less than a mile a part… I KNEW I HAD TO ORGANIZE A UYE! Knucklehead was our first stop!
The few of us who arrived early had time to peruse the menu and warn the staff that there would be a few of us eating together and sharing. The staff was great at providing us with extra plates and forks and knives so we could cut the burgers in to perfect quarters and halves for sharing.
First up was our hot chips — free with Unilocal check in (score!). Steven C. and I said «parmasean» in unison when we were asked which flavor we wanted. Sadly, I’m not sure I liked the chips lol. They were ok, but some had a burnt/​overly oily taste to them which made them not my favorite. Based on reviews it sounds like maybe the blue cheese and bacon topping is the way to go with these.
Truthfully, if I was rating what I ordered I’d be giving Knucklehead 3 stars. But since my lovely Unilocalers let me get a bite off of their burgers I’m rounding up to 4 because the BLUE CHEESE burger and the RISE AND SHINE burgers were really good! We ended up getting the burger of the month which was a chili cheeseburger and was only «ok» in my book. But the blue cheese and the fried egg burgers are definitely worth going back for.
Not sure I understand the ambiance/​theme of the place. Seemed very childish but yet wasn’t that child friendly of a menu. The bright colors were nice though and the place felt clean.

This three star rating is my fault; it would be higher if instead I had ordered the Rodeo Burger with BBQ Sauce I sampled from one of my fellow UYE’ers at the Davie Burger Crawl Savanna put together for us. One bite and I knew I should have ordered a full one for me. I ordered the Bleu Bruiser, looking forward to the caramelized onion and pecan bacon taste. It seemed that the Blue Cheese overwhelmed it to my appetite’s dismay (though it is in the name). The cajun chips — and even my regular fries with sweet BBQ sauce — were perfect for a Sunday football afternoon, as was the conversation with my table mates.
Hence Knucklehead will remain bookmarked with a 3 star placeholder until I’m back in the 954!
