DT Hair & Nails

I still love this place, and it was my go to nail salon but I’m a bit taken aback by their consistent understaffing. Every time I come I have to wait 45+ minutes, or they get so busy they have to call in for help. I also witnessed a nail tech leaving a woman she was giving a pedicure to, to help another woman who walked in. I imagine the woman who walked in had an appointment but that is no excuse to literally leave the customer you were helping and tell them that someone will be in to help them soon. Fast forward to 15 minutes later and another girl barely walks in to help her. Ehhh me thinks not. Not to mention that now pushes my «30 minute wait» back even farther. Not cool. Just gonna head home and take the gel off myself.

Do NOT go here. They took 3 hours to just do some simple acrylic nails. The lady kept messing up and had to re do them 4 times. This is no exaggeration. I was so fed up by the last time that I wasn’t even going to wait any longer to tell her all the things that needed to be fixed. This is the most horrible experience I have ever had at a nail salon.

This salon is conveniently located five min away from my apartment, so it’s my designated nail place.
The people who have done my nails so far have been very gentle, which I highly appreciate!
The pricing is not too bad — $ 35 for a shellac pedicure or manicure.
Also, the ambience is cute.
I haven’t explored other nail salons in Davis, so I don’t know how this one might compare to others, but I would recommend it to people living in North Davis.

4 stars because everything was very rushed but otherwise everyone was very nice. I had a coupon so I paid 40 total for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. And I AM IN LOVE WITH MY NAILS!!! I

Came in on a less booked time and the product was great! I showed the lady a quick pic of what I wanted and she took great care and time into making it look better than the picture! Would come back here again in a heartbeat! The prices are great and my nails look fantastic!

Worst nail salon I have ever been to. They were rude, disrespectful, and did a HORRIBLE job. My group of five friends went in before graduation, and they were consistent on the quality of poor work on each of us. They didn’t clean my friends cuticles and when she asked them to, one of them told her it would take «weeks.» Worst service we have ever received, nails weren’t even painted in the lines.
Please save yourself the trouble and visit one of the better salons in Davis.
If I could give this place a 0 I would.

I’m serious about acrylic nails and DT does a good job, but you have to watch them and not afraid to ask for what you want. They can make mistakes and aren’t always precise but if you point it out they don’t mind fixing it. I’ve been here several times so now they know what I like but I took time to get there! Give them a try though it’s worth it!

This place is good but not great. They’re not bad at all, just nothing beyond average/​mediocre.
The staff is pretty friendly and accommodating. They have stayed way past closing for me several times, and I’m sure they do the same for others! The pedicures are pretty basic. They clean your cuticles, cut and file your nails, massage your feet and calves with oil and lotion and then pat you down with a warm cloth afterwards… Other places throw in the exfoliating scrub and hot rocks for the same price.
I think there’s only one lady who does acrylics, so she gets really busy and it puts everyone back a bit. Also, the gel job is a little weak… The last two times I went the polish was transparent, because I don’t think she had me put my nails under the UV light long enough.
But overall this place is okay. It’s not my favorite in Davis, but they usually do a good job and they’re at a convenient location for me (which is in the North Davis Savemart plaza).

I was looking for a place to get my nails done in Davis and found DT Hair and Nails. They have great service! Mai did a great job with my nails. She was VERY professional. I will be coming back here more often. I wish I had found it sooner!
They also do waxing, massages, facial and hair cuts!
Super nice staffs! very clean and personable. I recommend DT Hair and Nails !
Moreover, easy parking space is a plus ;)!
