Mosen, thanks for the response. You’re absolutely right, I’ve had great service at your shop for so long, so you’d understand why I felt so disappointed by the aforementioned situation. I do realize now that the box the Reuleaux came in that I was shown must have said «RX200» on it. However, like I mentioned previously, I asked if it had the DNA200 chip and was told that it did. Since I had not known that there are 2 separate versions and having trusted the advice I’d gotten at your shop, along with the price of $ 160 (the going rate for the Reuleaux DNA200), I had assumed the mod was indeed the Reuleaux DNA200. I was quite disappointed to find that in fact it was the RX200 version, not containing the ever sought after (and expensive DNA200 board) and that you were selling the much cheaper, and lower quality version of the Reuleaux for the price of the more expensive one. I was hoping you guys would respond here telling me that it was a mistake/​misunderstanding in the price of the device. Unfortunately, I was quoted $ 160 for the device, however I was told that it could be sold for $ 140. If i had not been quoted at that price I would not have gone through the trouble to write this review or response to your comment. It seems, although, as if it was your intention to price the device at the same price as the more expensive one. That’s confusing to me, especially since the most recent photo on your Unilocal page (posted a month ago) states you have the lowest prices guaranteed. I understand marking up prices but to that extent it feels like a rip off, hence the review. Thanks again Mosen for the reply, it is much appreciated.

Hate to be giving this place such a bad review. I’ve been coming here intermittently for the past year for my smoking and vaping needs and have always felt like the guys working there were great. They have a lot of selection for vaping equipment and some juices for me to get while I’m in town. Unfortunately, the last time I was there (3 weeks ago) will most likely be my last.
What happened is that I was looking at the Reuleaux mod that they had in stock, not knowing that there are 2 versions of that mod: the Reuleaux DNA200 and the Reuleaux RX200. I found out later, after doing some research online, that although both of those mods look similar and are triple 18 650 mods, the DNA200 version is much more expensive than the RX200. Not only is it more expensive but the DNA200 version only comes in silver and black whereas the RX200 version only comes in all back and white/​teal. The DNA200 version online is about $ 160 and the RX200 version is $ 50. That’s over $ 100 difference in price and quality. What the guy working at Smoke Hut was doing was trying to sell me the Reuleaux RX200 for the price of the DNA200 version. I asked him if the version he had was the DNA200 version and he said yes but I know now that the version that was in store was the RX200 because it was all black.
So I’m either thinking A) The worker there doesn’t really have an understanding of what they’re selling or B) The worker knew and was purposely trying to rip me off. Either way, not good.
I know for a fact that they shouldn’t be selling the Reuleaux RX200 for more than $ 70 bucks. BTW the worker told me he had sold 8 of the RX200 already for the price of the the DNA200. If this happened to any of you reading this, know they ripped you off and don’t deserve your business.

A great new smoke shop in Davis with friendly customer service. I didn’t like Illusions in downtown so I checked this place out. I wanted to get a new Vape and the person there helped me pick one out and was very friendly and patient with me. Highly recommend and will go again!

Dudes in hear are great supper helpful. I wanted to start vapeing so I could stop smoking and they were the only shop in the county (and trust me I went to all of them) that seems to care about what I was trying to do they took the time to get me started right and over the past few weeks I have gone in many times with questions and they are allways more than happy to help me out they remember who I am and why I come in every time I can’t recommend them more

So Unilocal in its great wisdom decided that my previous review was fake for this business, so here is my second review of Smoke Hut. They are as good as it gets. I recommend them over ALL other smoke shops I’ve ever visited. These guys are amazing.

I have never felt obligated to leave a review until I came to this establishment.
I have been to this smoke shop more times than I can count and only twice have they ever stocked on cigarettes. A strange business plan in my opinion, considering they advertise a cigarette on the front of their window.
On the second to last instance I came to this shop I again inquired about cigarettes. The shop (owner? worker/​) met me with cynical «No» as if I had been wrong to ask. Poor customer service and possibly hundreds of dollars lost to bad service.
Lastly, I bought a cigar here, a Romeo and Julieta, and I was supremely disappointed. Not only was the cigar priced at $ 12, it was dry, unsatisfying, and frankly nauseating. This has not been my first Romeo and Julieta but I can assure you that it will be my last purchased from this establishment.
I guess the cat and the Harley are kind of chill but what kind of business are you running? Half of your employees are in the back smoking hookah while the other half of you are in front selling me dry cigars and disappointment.

Smoke hut is the bomb just bought some couple mods I got a great deal on those mods I love them they hooked me up with battery Cuz bought couple mods yesterday best smoke shop I ever been in davis they got so many opinion on bongs vape and juices just wanna makes me come and buy stuff everyday

I don’t even know where to start. First off, you walk in to find yourself greeted by an overly friendly cat, and a beautiful beast of a yellow Harley claiming the center point of the room. Then slowly panning from side to side the walls are lined with beautiful glass; the owner of this place only gets quality product and is as honest as can be. The owner as well as the few others who work here are super friendly and very knowledgable when it comes to the product they carry. Their prices are unbeatable and they will hook you up with exactly what you need. 5 stars well earned. Keep up the good work my brothas!

Either way it’s a lose lose situation in my case. You only offered me more low grade product after I asked to exchange. You never stopped me from buying the pipe that was clearly low grade. You offered a low quality pipe willingly. Either way, you win, because you still get to keep your money. Whereas I’m left with a $ 15 worthily novelty pipe. Looking out for the customer would mean you would buy better quality pipes and know that at the end of the day the customer is left satisfied. I’ve worked retail and have went above and beyond the satisfaction of the customer. You took my money without thinking twice!

Nice people, but I feel I was ripped off. I payed 45 for a rebuildable atomizer that was 21.99 after shipping online. The screws on the posts were not correctly sized, which I was told I could come back the next day and replace it. They have given me the run around every single day since then. so it ended up shorting out and doesn’t work at all now. Because of it misfiring from not having a screw properly in place. Oh not to mention they sold me a cloned version of this model. I’ve given up on the fact that they will ever get me back. I feel like an idiot. The guy is a Dmitry talked and will say anything to get you to buy. I got caught into this.

Helpful and friendly! I had a hard time finding my favorite shisha tobacco. I called and the owner was great. He told me he could order anything I needed! So excited that now I dont have to call around looking. Thank you Smoke Hut!

The owner is a badass. Such a sweet, professional man, yet you can sense that his attitude would become no-​nonsense if necessary. I go there to get whipped cream chargers, since no regular store in the area sells them. I just can’t say enough good things, as a regular ass person, about my experience there.

The moment you enter, it is one giant room. In the center of the room, is a nice bumblebee motorcycle. When I first walked in, I saw the cutest thing… a cat sleeping on a motorcycle seat. Bella was adorable! So friendly. I wish my cat was as social as her.
They have very nice and affordable glasses and hookah sets. I have yet to buy a large piece here but I am thinking about buying a bubbler here one day. I normally come here to buy things for my hookah sets. I love my fantasia mints, 2 for 10 $. Good deal.
The owner is friendly and knows his stuff.
The place is hidden in the corner and not many residents know about this place.

The owner was very helpful, trustworthy, and friendly. The vibe that I get from him is that he just loves his job and wants to improve everyone else’s smoking experience. He offered the best advice he could and looked out for my best interests regarding which bubbler to buy. You won’t have to worry about dealing with a shady owner who’s only interested in his own profit. It’s obvious that he just wants to share his passion of smoking with everyone else. I’ll definitely be coming back to Smoke Hut from now on.
Oh, and the cat and motorcycle he has in the shop are pretty awesome too.

Great place, guy was nice and knowledgeable. Bongs are made of nice glass. I bought mine like 5 months ago and it’s still going strong.

They carry a wide variety of products and are fairly priced. Time and time again I get an in depth description of each of the choices that are presented to me. The store manager helps me weigh the pros and cons of each piece, even offering advice on how to properly clean a piece as well as safety measures to prolong the piece’s life. Every time i return the store managers greet me and we have a good time talking about the new additions to the store. Good start-​up for only being open for under a year.

This place was open, clean, good selection and had a STORE CAT named Bella. The guy who helped us was very nice and attentive. I broke my downstem and went to two other places that didn’t have the right size and did not give good customer service. He knew all of the right questions to ask for sizing and made sure that we got the right one for our piece. I didn’t notice any quality problems and think the previous review is exaggerated. I will be going back.

The shop owner confirmed in his response that he remembered our transaction therefore I am obviously not in cahoots with «the competition.» In fact, that phrase stated as such sounds like a statement made from the perspective of the shop owner…
My torch FELL APART and the nail is NOT Titanium. How does a torch fall apart and how can a smoke shop owner unknowingly purchase low grade dangerous nails… There is no excuse for this except a proper refund. But no…
Again, the staff had absolutely ZERO knowledge of the industry they are apart of. They sell cheap products and give offensive discounts. In fact, when I returned my subpar products he shorted me my full refund and kept what little discount he gave. THATS INSANE. How does a new shop expect to gain a loyal following if they are disrespectful to what client base they do have.
I made a mistake by saying go to illusions, because this review has nothing to do with my recommendations for what other smoke shops to go to. I only stated that because its the only other one in the area! But in reality go anywhere else besides here.
The purpose of this review is inform people that the Smoke Hut is not a wise choice… go elsewhere.
There are really no pros to this small and sketchy shop… only cons.
and lastly… THEY CARRY CHEAP GLASS!

I visited this place in hopes of finding a reliable smoke shop in the city of Davis. The selection in the store is really good and their prices are super fair for the quality of the glass. It’s good to finally see competition in the glass pipe business in Davis! They were very knowledgeable of their products and did not force me to buy anything. Although I did not make a large transaction today, I definitely know I’ll be coming back again soon.
