Helzberg Diamonds

I think that it is sad when a company is so promising when you come in the door and then do not follow through on anything. I don’t normally write reviews like this, but I feel that everyone deserves a fair warning about this company. They are an example of what people call a «bait and switch». My husband works hard for his money and it upsets me more than anything to see someone rip him off like Helzberg has. I do not wear a lot of jewelry and what I do wear is very sentimental to me (my wedding ring and cross). My husband decided that he wanted to custom make me a ring for valentines day this year, so he went to a couple of jewelry stores and for whatever reason chose Helzberg. They were not able to help, but after all he is not a jewelry designer ;), so I went back with him. I was so excited to get my ring in a week. Two weeks later… he called and it was there. Go pick it up and it’s HORRIBLE. Not at all what we had designed, however the lovely lady informs us that since it was custom — it’s ours :(. If we want it «changed» she said («fixed» I said), then that is going to cost more !? It wasn’t even the right size, and they told me I was going to have to pay to have it sized? WHAT? We already spent way too much money on this as it was. Had we been better informed I found other custom jewelers that would have literally costed half of what we paid at Helzberg. Reluctantly we decide to try and get it right. If you’re going to pay a small fortune you might as well be able to wear it and the way it was no one was going to wear it. So, another month and another couple hundred… WRONG AGAIN. STILL NOT EVEN THE RIGHT SIZE, prongs are bent crooked, and a month later. I haven’t even went back this time and don’t know if I will, I DEFINATELY don’t WANT to. Maybe I will try to take it somewhere else. I am going to pay either way, at least it has a Chance of getting it right because it’s just not happening here. I mean the SIZE even… REALLY? :’(
