The Perfect Spot Restaurant and Bar

This is a fantastic place to bring the family. The food is good and the service adequate, but what makes this place great is being able to eat outside and watch the skydivers! The second time we ate here, there was a huge jump of about 150 skydivers! It was impressive.

Extremely slow service! Waited 30 minutes for water and had to get up to get our silverware and condiments. It was busy but not slammed by no means. Food was ok, but pancakes were rubbery. Won’t be going back.

Located at the Deland skydiving center, this nice sized and well maintained bar and restaurant has pretty much everything you would expect. Apart from the wide range of beverages, they have a nice selection of burgers, nachos and the like. The servers are fun and the clients are pretty fun too. They also have free wifi which is a nice added bonus.

I’ve been here many times, love the atmosphere! Ability to watch the sky divers come in, staff is always friendly an accommodating but the food definitely can use improvement. Every time I go, I try something different and have yet to get a satisfactory meal. French fries have no flavor and soaked in grease, chicken wings taste they’ve been sitting under a heat lamp for extended period of time, grilled chicken was cold and dry. I could go on but I’m sure you get the picture. Go for the drinks and atmosphere, not the food…

It really was the perfect spot to see skydivers landing. The inside is cute and food was pretty good:)
Coming back here within a year to sky dive on my own. So excited!

Friendly service and great location to just enjoy the day. Casual food, so just relax and watch the fun out doors.

Some of the best burgers around. That’s all we eat there, so I can’t speak to any other menu items. We have brought friends with us and they have been just as satisfied. Very entertaining as well, as you watch the sky divers. Service is always very friendly. Fun atmosphere. Very different.

I’ve been here several times and I’ve never been disappointed the service has always been excellent and today was no exception Rebecca was perfect. One perk for eating here is watching the skydivers rain down out of the clouds since the landing zone is right outside the restaurant so close you might think they could scoop your lunch up before hitting their mark.
The food is typical bar food sandwiches, wings and appetizers with a few salads thrown in the food is always well presented and actually pretty good. They offer a full bar inside and a Tiki bar outside along with a few picnic tables on the patio. It’s a cool venue and I’m sure I will return from time to time.

I’ve eaten at The Perfect Spot several times over the years. The service has always been slow and inconsistent, but the food was fine and watching the sky divers is great fun so I was always inclined to go back.
However my last visit will be my last visit. My mother and I thought it would be fun to take my sons for an early lunch and watch the planes and divers. We sat down in the empty restaurant and waited for over 15 minutes for anyone to come out. People periodically peaked out from the room behind the bar but no one came out to wait on us. When a waitress finally came out from the back she went over the the only other table with customers (who had just come in BTW) and gave them menus and took drink orders. When she went into the back I thought it was to grab more menus. Nope. She filled the drink orders for the other table and took their food order as well. When I called over to her she called back over her shoulder that she’d be out in a minute.
At this point we’d been sitting there for over 20 minutes and didn’t even have menus. The table that had just walked in had drinks and their order had been taken. We left.
Maybe the goal isn’t to attract the family crowd. But I don’t see any reason for this level of horrible customer service.

Really is the perfect spot. Especially for airplane nerds like myself.

This place is awesome, I have never had anything that was bad in here. However there are some characters around these parts, skydiving brings with it a colorful culture. So sit back eat and enjoy.

This tiny restaurant is located within the Skydive DeLand facilities, but anyone can eat there. They offer similar quality burger and drinks as the Airport Restaurant, but the deck of The Perfect Spot puts you right next to the landing areas. My mom once sat paralyzed as a skydiver dropped down so close to her she could see the whites of the the guys’ eyes. (I do wish I had a photograph of that moment.) The food won’t wow you, but it’s a fun place to take visitors on a nice day.
