I swear, I must be cursed! There must be a voodoo doll out there with my name on. I have had the displeasure of dealing with the owner Bonnie Yates. She is one of the most rude condescending people I have ever dealt with! I bought a garage door opener from Home Depot, and paid to have it installed. County Door Systems are their contracted local installers, owned by Bonnie Yates. Bonnie left me a voice mail message asking me a few questions about the door. I called back and answered them via voice mail. One of the questions was«do you have a 7 ft. door or an 8ft. door?» I told her I did not know, but yes, I have at least a 7ft. Bonnie called back and scheduled the appt., she never mentioned anything about needing to know the size for sure, as if you have anything over a 7ft., you need an extention rail. When the installer came out he could not install it because I have an 8ft. door, and I needed an extention rail. Of course he did not have one on the truck, I had to get one through Home Depot and pay for it. He would then go get it. They of course could not do that the same day, even if I went to Home Depot on the spot and got it all taken care of. The installer told me Bonnie would call me by noon with an update from Home Depot. At 3:30, I got frustrated and called County door. Bonnie answered. She was not helpful. When I pressed her on why she would not inform a customer on the importance of giving the door measurement(when I told her I did not know in the voice mail). I elaborated on IF the door size was discussed, this confusion could have been avoided. All, she would have had to say was«Maam, go out an measure your door, if it is over 7ft. you will need an extention rail». I would have measured, and this whole thing could have stayed on track. Instead she lectured me on how SHE knows the size of her garage door, and most people know the size of their door, and I should know the size of my garage door, and I did not say I had an 8ft. door…on and on… to the point I quit talking to her. Then she asked me a question and I did not answer(I was too busy wiping the steam coming out of my ears). She screamed«Are YOU going to answer me?» I told her I would call Home Depot, after telling her what a rude condescending individual she was, and that she should not be in the business of customer service.
