Boss man buys the breakfast pizzas for the office when we work some Saturdays. Best part of the day. Need to try to recreate that at home. Heaven.

I have been coming here for over 15 years. They have the best spaghetti sauce and lasagna. I love to come in before 9 am and catch the early bird specials.

We come here all the time and we love what they have to offer! Good sandwiches, the best breakfast pizza and the cannoli is awesome!

Love the unbaked pizza here. Great price and if you follow the instructions always come out good. While there, be sure to buy some cannoli for dessert! They also offer pizza by the slice and a small selection of hot foods like Lasagna.

Whoever gave this place more than one star does not know good food. I asked what the Éclair was filled with… custard, pudding or cream. I was told custard so I purchased some. Tonight I tried one. These are worse than the ones you buy in the freezer section of a grocery. It had a yellowish sweet type of cream filling and NOCUSTARD. For 2 dollars a piece would think they would at least taste okay. Mine went to the garbage along with the sickening slaw, potato salad and olive salad that Thank God I only bought small amounts to try. Was never offered a taste even when I said I never had any of their products. Just want everyone to read this so your not wasting your money either. Those giving the higher stars either work there or just have no taste.

The pizza dough is the best ever. My boyfriend and I love it. Have only tried a few of the other baked goods. Bread was delicious cookies were just meh. Nothing great. Heard the breakfast pizza is wonderful. But omg the pizza dough. It’s so cheap so delicious.

Been going here for over 25 years and I have never had anything bad from this place. The pizza is my favorite. Not sure if its the thin crust, the not too over the top sauce or the excellent cheese that makes it my favorite but any time I am in the area I go there for a slice. We have also got take and bake more times than I can count and its a success every time. Cabbage rolls are also very good for an Italian bakery. Love the cannoli and éclair but that is all we’ve tried because when its good why choose anything else? They also have a wide variety of beverages. Love the place. Love the staff. Love the food.

Most of the stuff they sell is not home made. Most of what they sell comes from outside Vendors Some of the bread is ok. Not enough parking for the lunch time crowd.

This is such a cute little Italian market which I frequently visit. The staff is friendly and welcoming. From their selection of deli meats to hot entrees to pizza, you can’t go wrong. I like that you can pick up a custom pizza to bake yourself. Oh, and the pizza rolls, Yummy! They once carried these chocolate covered pretzels but I bought them all and haven’t seen them since. This happened with a couple things I love. I wish they would restock items that are selling and restock items quicker.

A nice, little old-fashioned bakery. Great bread, sweets, pizza by the slice, a lot of Italian specialties and a small selection of wine. Get there early in the morning for BREAKFASTPIZZA; it has a generous portion of bacon, cheese and eggs in place of tomato sauce.

Service and food awesome, we often order large orders and they always ensure they are accurate. Breakfast pizza awesome, lasagna great both catered or heat at home.

This is the greasiest pizza I have ever eaten! You can put a paper napkin on top and suck it up. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a guilty pleasure, but certainly not good for your health.

Okay, so I stopped here on New Year’s Eve and picked up a Cannoli Cake! OMG, if you have not tried it then don’t because it is sooooooooooo delicious! They have delicious baked goods here, they also have pizzas, gwampki — or however you say it and wonderful Italian cookies. MMMmmm — next time you need a baked good — try this place out! But — no birthday cakes unless you pre-order!

Went in here today expecting a huge bakery with lots of shelves of bread and desserts. Boy did I have the wrong expectation. Here’s what I saw, A small place where you can barely move with only a few people in the place. Rarely anything looked fresh. Brownies looking hard. Cupcakes siting for awhile. Pieces of pizza that were bagged and sitting on the counter. Such a poor selection. A coffee station in the corner. A deli. Some shelves with products that made it look more like a convenience store instead of a bakery. I bought some Italian bread for $ 2.25, which was terrible. It was the airiest, lightest, bread with a huge hole down one side – see attached picture. Don’t they even know how to bake bread here?! The cashier was friendly, that’s about the only positive thing I can say. Not worth the trip at all.

This place has the best meatball sub I have ever tasted. Big, hot, and juicy with a crunchy crust on the roll. For everything else in the store you can apply the«just eat it, it’s good» approach. I have yet to be disappointed by the food or the service, and I always walk out with at least a pound of cookies. Half of the shop is an Italian grocer, with good selection. It is the only place in Dearborn I know of that carry’s fennel sausage. Some tips: The orders move quickly, know what you want. The meatball sub takes a while to serve. It’s worth the wait. Most of the rest of the food is served immediately. There is no indoor seating, and only limited outdoor tables. More of a carryout place.

The Dearborn Italian Bakery and I have history. Good history. This was my grandma’s designated stop for pizza when, as she would put it, «got a hankerin’ for EYE-talian.» Much like the Capri Bakery, the DIB makes their slices in large sheet trays. A full sheet tray yields about 12 enormous squares ergo each slice is big. The DIB offers 4 – 6 varieties of the squares daily. I like the crumbled sausage or the classic pepperoni. Dab with napkins because the pepperoni yields flavor juices. You might call it grease but I’m not as unkind as you might be. A little dab will do ya’ and you’re off and running. Take nothing away, these squares are arguably the best in Dearborn and a steal at around $ 1.75 or so. One slice at DIB is easily 2 – 3 slices somewhere else. I go for pizza but the menu goes beyond this. Of course, they have their bread selections which are great. The hot bar offers a variety of foods but I think their meatballs and sausages are where it’s at. Occasionally, they also have Polish selections such as stuffed cabbage or kielbasa and kraut which are respectable. A guy in front of me was going on and on about the golabki. He wouldn’t shut up unless I ordered one. So I did and for being an Italian bakery, they nailed it. I’m not sure what happened to that guy but I think he became the governor. DIB has daily specials. Could be discount pizza day, pasta day or bread day. Check their website or just drop in and they have it posted. Finally, the last thing that I like about the DIB is that they early bird specials. If you come in early in the day(6 – 9AM.), you get deals on pasta, pizza, bread and the deli. Sort of like grocery happy hour. Brilliant! I’m not a dessert man but I did have the cannoli a couple of times and it was far better than you will have at most places. One last anecdote. I was once in a funeral procession which I left to stop into the bakery. I told everyone my engine light came on. Does this make me a bad person?

I grew up with DIB like many other reviewers. They had them in our school lunch rooms and my mother would buy them for us kids as a weekend treat about once a month. I currently live about an hour away now but will still stop for pizza rolls as often as I can when I visit family and friends. I used to work down that way and loved the specials. I’d get there early in the morning to hopefully get«just cheese» pizza rolls before they ran out for the day. Oh, those made me happy. I haven’t had them in a while but the pastry selection is very good as is the non-perishable grocery section. The pizza is of course amazing. And the prices, oh the prices. Just go, you will not be disappointed.

1.50 slices of pizzas on Mondays. HOLLAAAA! That’s some good stuff. I don’t know what it is about the pizza: the thicker crust, the grease, the nostalgia of having grown up with it, but it’s one of my favorite pies in the area. The cannoli are fabulous and the cream roll is flaky, sweet goodness. My shirt is currently covered in powdered sugar and pasty bits from munching on one for lunch! The prices are so good, not just on special slice day(10% off for seniors on Wednesdays – just an FYI) but across the board. Today I got a diet Pepsi, a slice of pizza, a pound of Krakowska ham, a cream roll, and a huge loaf of Sicilian bread all for $ 13. That’s CRAZY! The speciality cheeses that they have here are cheaper than national chains and specialty shops as well(their marscarpone cheese price is rivaled only by Trader Joe’s). I haven’t had one disappointing purchase from here and I’ve tried everything from their house-made lasagna to their pizza dough and their deli meats and cheeses. An affordable place to grab lunch or groceries any day of the week*! * Except on Sundays when they’re closed. Sad face!
