Dr. Bolen is really nice and her staff is very helpful, but I just can’t deal with how messed up my billing has been every. single. time. Is it really that hard?

Due to the nature of medical and dental work I will just give you the facts. I started having problems with my tooth(molar #31) a few years ago when I had a deep filling redone. It was not leaking but that dentist recommended that I get a crown put on. I go see Dr. Bolen for a cleaning and for a sometimes painful tooth(same #31). She recommends a root canal. I get said root canal, and she puts the crown on. First problem, the crown is not the color I requested and is WAY too bright. Any a few months later the pain returns. I go to the endodontist and get a second root canal done through the crown. I go see Dr. Bolen to get the crown sealed. She tells me that under no circumstance will she treat that tooth again(for anything? I’m not sure, but it was implied). She then STRONGLY recommends to me that I get my two amalgam fillings redone. Up to this point in my life they have caused me zero issues or zero pain. I schedule a follow up appointment a few months later. The day before the follow up they call me to inform me that everyone is now required to pay for their visit in advance and then request to be reimbursed by the insurance company later. I tell them no thank you and cancel my visit. They called me back to let me know they would make an exception for me which I didn’t accept.

Let me start by saying that I am DEATHLY afraid of the dentist after bad experiences as a kid. I still can’t say I love going, but Dr. Bolen’s office makes it far less painful! I appreciate that she always explains everything she does and goes over her exam and radiograph findings with me. She always answers all of my questions and doesn’t talk to me like I’m stupid. Her staff is always very warm, friendly, and organized. Overall very satisfied with all of my experiences here!

I’ve been going to Dr. Bolen for about 5 years. Everyone in her office is super nice– from the receptionist to the hygienist. Dr. Bolen is professional and knows her stuff. She tries to work with your insurance to get you what you need. The only issue I’ve had was with insurance for my husband(with a waiting period). But in the end, the office worked it out. I’m glad I have dentist that I can see myself returning to twice a year without issues.

I have gone to Dr. Bolen many times and she has no customer service personality at all. She rarely looks at you when she’s talking to you and although she isn’t rude, she isn’t friendly either, very impersonal. She treats her staff horribly, I have seen her speak badly to her staff on many occasions. There have been occasions where I felt uncomfortable due to how she was speaking to her staff and that is why I don’t go there anymore.

My Name is John and I scheduled an appointment for 11am so I called to reschedule for another day because my schedule was changed because of an emergency with one of my associates. and I was told I would be charged $ 25 for late rescheduling fee. which I wasn’t told about from my initial visit, first issue, told the assistant that i was suck at WORK but i would make it there around that time. So I leave my JOB early to get to my appointment as fast as I could. I arrive at the dentist office at 11:18am only for the assistant to tell me I was too late and I had a 15minute grace period that I wasn’t told about when I spoke with the office early that morning. looks to me like highway robbery. JOBS and moneys are tight for everyone and this office is penny pinching customer. Lose a customer over 25 dollars and basically say no to my business for 3 minutes. SMH I’ll take my business else where.
