Hello world… I must first say how frustrated and disgusted I am with kisha!!! I traveled over 8 hours feeling and believing everything she said about the dreadlock extebsion session. first she would use 100% human, a lye she use synthetic and human… I told her I didn’t want any parts showing, I was looking for the free form look, ever part showed. she said oh no problem I know exactly what you want another lye… then she said she has my exact color that why she needed my pixz of my hair; my hair is off brown this lady used jet black which made it look just like fake or extensions… so then she said it was going to take a out 6 to 7 hours so one would think that this must b the real thing; lye number 4 she got done in lil over an hour… I was so pissed I stormed out of the salon thinking maybe I’m just to picky. When my wife saw my hair when I returned to the hotel room she said«oh no no we going back» lol she is going to fix this… of course she had left the salon… I called her and called by the time she answered I was 2 hours away from home… she did say if you come back I’ll make adjustments. .ummm I was like I have to b at work tomorrow and I’ve been driving for 6 hours 2 more to go I can’t just turn ard for you to fix your mistakes.. I also noticed my hair unrivaling… This chix is a total rip off BEWARE!!! Oh by the way she only takes cash and you can not take anyone else with you in her salon room… also she does not have a shop she shares a building with like 20 other babers and salons who do dreads… she had a small room oh also her young asst does most of the work… altogether I spent ard $ 800 not including traveling expenses… but u make your own conclusion just dont say I didn’t warn you… altogether this is not a hatter blog I just wish somebody had told me. If you want pixz please hit me up

I contacted Keshia Howard(who calls herself the Loc Goddess) in hopes that I could get some permanent loc extensions. I asked her if she used human hair, and her answer to me was«yes.» When I did some further digging on the website, it states that she uses a blend of synthetic and human hair. When she actually did it, it was human hair only latched to my hair at the very base, then the rest was synthetic. The loc extensions are easily 95% synthetic hair. But I digress. I set up the plane ticket(since I was coming from Houston to Atlanta), but I checked with her first to see if it would work out. She assured me that my flight times were fine with her and that she would be able to work within that time frame. I sent her a $ 250 deposit money order along with pictures of my hair, and the appointment was booked. I sent her pictures of what size I wanted the loc partitions to be, because on her website it seemed like there was a wide variety of part sizes. I used her own pictures as examples of what kind I wanted and what kind I wasn’t interested in. She seemed very resistant to accomodating this request. She said it just depends on the hair I have. I flew into Atlanta the night before my appointment(which she said would begin at 9am). I texted her one more time to see if I should get there a bit earlier than 9am because my flight was for 9pm, and I was concerned about the timing. She was so certain she would finish on time that she brazenly told me to meet her at 9:45am now instead of 9am. Bold move, considering I was concerned about timing. So, I met her at the shop at 9:45, and she had a shampoo assistant wash my hair, etc. It was now after 10, and we hadn’t started. She had a disclaimer for me to sign stating that the locs were non-refundable, that she uses synthetic hair, and that if I have medical conditions that do not allow for me to sit for long periods of time, then I can’t have this done, etc. I thought it was kind of strange that she’d need a disclaimer, but now I see why. She would be in small claims court nonstop. So, then she asks for the rest of the money upfront before she starts. Normally, i’d pay afterward, but she insisted on payment first. She wouldn’t accept my check(which she failed to mention earlier), so I had to drive to the nearest Chase bank and pull out $ 850 in cash to bring to her. I told her it would be 18 minutes round trip. When I came back, I saw her pulling out of the parking lot, and I thought to myself, «That can’t be her leaving…» When I walked back into the salon, her personal assistant informed me that she had left… right as I was pulling in, and I know she saw me. She stayed out for over 15 minutes while I waited for her to return. She finally came back and began to work on my hair. I asked her if she used parts or more of a «freestyle» pattern, and her response to me was that I should«relax.» It was tense at first, because i was upset that she had such little regard for my time, and I felt that she was dismissing my concerns as me being«nervous.» We relaxed some and got into conversation. After a while, we were talking about relationships, herbs and oils, astrology, etc. We actually had an enjoyable conversation. She did mention that she didn’t have respect for/thought it was weird when men used her loc extension services though. She took a couple of phone calls and was quite rude to someone on the phone who wanted to know more about her process. She was very secretive about how she does hair and told me many stories about how she had kicked extra guests out of the room(like she won’t let a mom watch her daughter’s hair being done) and banned people from coming back if they took photo/video of her. She acted like it was the world’s best kept secret. There was something about her practice that reeked of insecurity. She continued to do my hair, burning the ends of it to hold the loc in afterward(further letting you know that it’s mostly synthetic hair). After all was said and done, I missed my flight. I had to spend the night in the airport and catch a flight in the morning. At first sight, I was happy with the workmanship, and even gave her a $ 20 tip. I would not have written this review if the workmanship was solid. The hair started slipping off and down the shaft, creating this skinny loc with a bulging tip at the end. All of them started doing that. The locs were unraveling from the end as well. They started doing this on day 2. I have many pictures that I will post here. The quality of the work was so poor that i just cut them out after a month. She burned the synthetic hair into my hair so that you literally have to cut your own hair out with the locs. The fact that she would charge me $ 1050(not including my flight, hotel, and rental car) just to give me a service that she HASTOKNOW is sub-par. That irritates me. And she considers this a «ministry»…lol

If you want to see a documented video go to You tube«Loc Extensions Gone Bad» just to be clear I am not completely dogging her out, I know she may be able to help some people, but in my case, she completely dropped the ball, and refused to correct it or refund my money. That is all I wanted, but she is prideful and from the comments and pictures she is also spiteful. Whether or not I get my money back, I felt the need to post my experience, in hopes of helping someone avoid going down the same road as I. Take it or leave it… I put it out there for you to see and judge for yourself, and to make an informed decision. I will let you know if she ever did the right thing and refund my money. But if you still see this posting, the answer is NO! Or I will update the outcome of my small claims case, which ever comes first.

decent workmanship on loc extensions but you have to put up with constant negative chatter, no credit cards accepted and DONOT schedule anything for a critical event. She takjes forever to call back(if at all) and myself and a co-worker both experienced a cancellation from her less than 24 hours before our appointment ONDIFFERENTDAYS! But outside of the lack of professionalism, the workmanship was pretty good the ONE time i had her do my locs.
