I ended up at the Corner Pub by mistake. And I am so glad that occurred. I ordered the Hot Nashville sandwich with fries and Iced tea. Everything I ordered met my standards. The pork loin was perfect(tender and juicy) the pork was dipped in a house made hot sauce that was so tasty. It was spicy but I was able to handle it. You can order it on the side and take baby steps with it. The fries were perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The iced tea was really good too. I wish I had a picture to show my meal but I was so hungry that I dug right in. I highly recommend this pub to anybody! Oh yea customer service was awesome too! The only thing I had complaints about was the fatty edges left on the pork loin. But I’m sure the cook would have cut that off for me if I knew they served the pork loin with the fatty edges.

Dining on a budget is always the way to go for me. I’ve been here before and it was just about the same experience I had before. Pleasant. We sat at the bar, as usual. The bartender, who’s name I seemed to forgot that quickly. Greeted us promptly, told us the specials(which I like, I know people like to have a higher check average) I believe it was 50% off entrees. I got the pan seared trout with walnuts, mash and brocc. It was good and lite. I didn’t even get to finish all of it. Hefty portion. My drink. Moscow Mule was very tasty. I enjoyed my company and experience. I know my bf can be so extra sometimes and she handled him perfectly.

This place was a huge disappointment. At first, the atmosphere and beer list had me intrigued but the food was less than subpar. My husband had the French dip; it was tasteless and the meat rubbery. The fries came fresh from the freezer, something I would have expected from a cafeteria. I had the grilled jerk wings. The skin and fat were soft and mushy and it tasted like I was eating a piece of charcoal. The fried okra was overlooked and mushy as well. We, of course, had leftovers but turned down the offer for a to go box. So, if you are in the mood for drinking and not eating, this is your place.

Really enjoy having a nice meal and a drink at The Corner Pub. Simple good dishes with a twist, the«pasta salad» is my favorite — it is actually warm pasta seasoned with a little olive oil(?) some veggies and a bit of grated cheese. Very good and satisfying. The Posole stew is a featured entrée, which I also have enjoyed — it comes with flour tortillas and is not too spicy. I’ve also indulged my baser cravings there /once ordered the BBQ pork nachos with a goat cheese substitute for cheddar, no one blinked and it was so good to my taste! I’ve also enjoyed a burger there — choice of sides but I stick with the salad — very fresh and tasty! My husband and I like to sit at the bat as usual and find the servers and bartenders to be in the classic style — not your best friend or chilly reserve but exactly right on neighborhood warmth. The CP has a pool table, big TV for sports and outdoor seating if you are so inclined.

The Corner Pub is a fine neighborhood joint. We have visited a few times over the last several months and I enjoy the experience. First, Corner Pub has a great rotating selection of beers. They specialize in local stuff from the city’s burgeoning beer scene. There is variety, and a bit for everyone. Whether you prefer an IPA, stout, cider, or lager, you won’t be disappointed with what Corner Pub has to offer. In several visits, I’ve had the opportunity to try a good bit of the menu. It’s decent pub food, nothing too fancy. I do appreciate that they take advantage of the Dekalb Farmers Market right down the road as their primary source of ingredients. Everything isn’t always executed perfectly, but with fresh ingredients, you have a lot of leeway because the plate will be good anyway. The pimento cheese dip is an interesting take on the southern brunch staple. The addition of goat cheese adds a little extra tang. Jerked wings are good, the tacos are decent, the sliders are thoughtfully assembled. You can’t go wrong with any of the sandwiches, and the sides are great. The BBQ Bahn Mi is an unconventional take on the sandwich, but perhaps one of the highlights on the menu. Service is good and what you would expect for a local place. The clientele are largely regulars, but you won’t feel unwelcome. The servers are attentive, which is important if your drink is getting low. So yeah, I’m a fan. I wouldn’t drive across town to visit the Corner Pub, but it is surely a wonderful addition to the food and drink scene in Decatur.

Ehhh this is the second time i tried this place. Its a nice local bar… Friendly enough staff but the food is just ok. The food always comes out luke warm. I had bbq plate with mashed potatoes… Eh… Not bad not great. Took 5 minutes to get much needed butter for the corn bread. Its not too busy now so why isnt the food hot? I really wanted to like this place. Mondays are half price entrees so i guess u get what you pay for. I just got my check and Oh btw way they charge $.50 for a side of butter… Which isnt even butter its that fake margarine… Geeez now i know why i see them in local discount places…

Burger is a serious contender for best in town. Jerk chicken is on point. Chicken slider(really just a small fried chicken sandwich) is amazing. The place is good, and Jameson is inexpensive, so even if the rest was lacking, I’d still go.

Ohmahgah I had such a delicious, delicious burger tonight(the build-your-own burger option, though I kept it simple with a medium-rare beef patty and extra jalapenos). It was a bit difficult to eat, since the patty and bun aren’t huge in diameter, and so I literally was making this face the entire time: «:O», with savory meat juice dribbling down my chin and the lower half of my face, thus, aflame(thanks, jalapeño friends!!!). But I would absolutely do it all over again. That was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a loooong time – not greasy, cooked to perfection just the way I like it, and topped with, as usual, fresh-as-can-be veggies.

The service was very slow and scattered. They had just launched a new computer system but that was really no excuse for not checking on our empty drinks and taking 20 min to bring our check which the waitress said she«thought she brought». As for the food, it was marginal at best and pretty much forgetful bar food. Definitely won’t be going back here.

Jerk chicken Philly and local beer! I will have to come back on trivia night. Whatever you get, get the fried okra as a side! All right! Cuban with fried okra and Wild Heaven Emergency Drinking Beer.

Relaxed atmosphere, inviting and good tunes. The food is average and I compliment the freshness. I got the ABLCT(their version of the BLT) and it’s pretty awesome. It has plenty of bacon and thin apple slices, the texture and sweetness definitely compliment the crispy bacon. This place has plenty of beers on draft, I tried the Carlsberg which was awesome. For dessert I got the carrot cake ice cream and that alone made the meal. It was an experience to say the least. Ice cream with chunks of carrot cake in it, what a way to get a glimpse into heaven. Staff was friendly and attentive. I came during lunch hour and it was not too busy. The crowd was mixed with business suits and hipsters. I want to give Corner Pub four stars but the sandwich was average. On my update visit, will try one of the house specials. Definitely a place worth visiting on the East Side of ATL.

I love stopping in here for a bite to eat with a friend. It is a great spot to take a lunch break too. The service is prompt and will get you in and out. They have some lunch specials that are really good combinations. I like the ABLT. It is a fresh taste of flavors. The corner cobb salad is really tasty and you should try it if you stop in for a bite. The seating is ample and comfortable both inside and outside. The high tables and the bar are comfortable for a relaxed meal. The price at the bar and the beer selection is really well priced and has a decent variety.

Great place! Awesome friendly service. I hadn’t been here in a long time. I had the Cuban on a pressed hoagie bun. Well… Wasn’t a giant fan, tasted like a fried bologna sandwich with cheese and pickles. The«rosemary/garlic» mashed potatoes had no rosemary or garlic flavor, but they were good just the same with a little pepper. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure there are other great things on the menu, bit this needs work. I was chatting with a friend and she told my to have the chicken sliders and the sandwich I had sucks. Lol. I’ll be back… Great bunch of folks.

I came with a Scoutmob and glad I did! This place wasn’t bad at all. It’s a great little bar on this side of town(Decatur). They offer lots of options and we opted for what seemed that most Unilocalers raved about. The Jerk Chicken Philly has lots of rosemary spices, pineapple tomato and chicken. I loved it. I got it with jalapeño corn bread that was so dry and not good at all. The Philly made up for the bad bread so I was fine. Also got the Cuban-this was decent. Not my favorite cuban but it still hit the spot just fine. They offer lots of great beers on tap. What else could you ask for?

The Corner Pub is located E College Ave in the Decatur in East Decatur Station. It’s as local as it gets, folks! Fresh ingredients made in the heart of The Corner Pub’s kitchen. The menu offers up an array of choices. Items with asterisks are vegetarian-friendly. They even have a gluten-free(GF) menu upon request. My friends and I found this place through ScoutMob! Deals, yes please! BARMUNCHIES/APPS –Pimento Cheese Dip(7.5): sooo rich and creamy. love this app. it comes with sliced apples, carrots, cucumbers, and warm bread. i highly recommend. ENTREES –Jerk Chicken Philly(10): very tasty. chunks of white chicken mixed with pineapple and a layer of muenster cheese overtop. –Nashville Hot Pork Chop(9.5): so this dish is SPICY. like HOTTAMALE. the chop comes on sourdough bread. very tasty, but it was too saucy per my friend. SERVICE Adam was our server. He was very attentive and friendly; knowing it was our first time dining in. Shout out to the rest of the staff for working so well together. Will definitely be coming back to try other highlighted items. #excited

This place has really slid, if that is grammatically correct to say. I used to work nearby for years and liked coming Mondays when they offer half price specials, and, for my lunch mate, gluten-free options. He had concerns about eating there recently because their«gluten-free» choices were cooked in the same grease as regular choices and when we got there we found that that corruption of gluten-free still occurs, even tho I phones in advance to make sure they had gluten-free options. «We do what we can,» said the waitress but in our opinion, that wasn’t enough and inaccurate of them to tell me otherwise on the phone. As for my lunch, I was pretty unsatisfied and didn’t eat most of it. For instance, the generous serving of cooked broccoli was almost completely raw and incidentally tasteless. Waitress seemed unconcerned when she removed my nearly full plate. Go somewhere else is my recommendation. I can barely give it 2 stars.

I learned about this place with Scoutmob. We met up with friends here. The food was good and I thought our waiters were pleasent. I think it’s cool they have a pool table, darts and a pinball table.

We came here after hanging out at 3 Taverns next door. Scoutmob directed us here for some food. The vibe of the bar is good — classic bar without being too dingy. Beer list was good and decently priced. But the food was a supreme disappointment. I took the waitress’s suggestion for the ABCLT but it turned out to be one of the worst sandwiches I’ve ordered at a restaurant. It fell apart immediately, had no flavor, and sub par ingredients. I guess I expected it to be grilled or something, but it was just cold bread with cold ingredients. I expect restaurant food to be better than what I make at home but I could make a way better sandwich! My husband had the chicken slider, which was better and had flavor. Still, an overall disappointment saved only by the scoutmob discount, because at least I could consider my sandwich«free».

Not sure why we stopped here, think because we were tired of driving and hungry at nite and it was closest… not a great way to decide where I eat. It’s a local bar, loud music and noise, and small space for a packed amount of people, gets crowded fast at nite… I think it was trivia nite or something. Anyways, we walked in and got seated, service was slow… not too friendly either. We ordered two Turkey Pot Pies, thinking yeah it’s freezing out and let’s eat something Classic American and it’ll warm us up… Well, for $ 8/each it was just a small bowl of the innards of what should’ve been a pot-pie, but NOT a pie! And not only that, no crust just a small 2″ pastry… so disappointing!!! The scoop of innard pie wasn’t good at all, the turkey was really dry ad chewy — I ended up eating just the barely creamy/veggie part. Not filling for $ 8, so we ordered edamame for $ 5/each, which was good but such a small portion. Beer was good, but then again, they didn’t make that! Would not return. Waitress was busy but relatively nice, I kept seeing another employee just standing there not doing anything, and looking stern. Costly, forgettable food.
