Oh God. Where do I begin? When we first moved in, we started with BRANDNEW furniture. within a week we had German cockroaches coming in through the vents! Reported it to maintenance, but it fell on deaf ears, we took care of the problem on our own. Speaking of vents, our unit only features a coil-fan system ran off of a boiler unit… those ugly box things in older hotels. So in winter, it’s either burning hot or extremely cold. There is no in room control thermostat… and the air conditioning only stays on if the temperature outside if above 75 degrees. So basically the system works maybe 50% of the time because of Illinois weather. Continuing, parking is very very limited and is rarely available. I have had to file numerous complaints to their«security» which is just their maintenance man who lives on property, to get the lights in the parking lot turned on. We probably went a good 4 months without a light in the parking lot. Unacceptable. My car has been keyed, tires let the air out of and even had notes placed upon it & management here has done nothing. There are no security cameras outside for the parking lot. Back to the inside of the complex, our neighbors are extremely loud & nosey! Again, we’ve had to make numerous complaints to Timber Coves; «security», which doesn’t exist and that fell upon deaf ears as well. I handled the problem by calling the police. Timber cove also states on their website they offer a gym/workout room, which is only accessible when their office is open. It features: A few dumbbells, a broken treadmill, & maybe a few yoga mats. Fail. Another feature Timber Cove raves about is on sight wash machines & dryers. this is also false advertising. They have 4, which maybe 1 working washers/dryers that are very dirty. full of pet hair & other tenants leavings. Gross! We pay over $ 650 a month for no parking, no security, faulty air/heating services, annoying neighbors, disgusting pests, false advertising & over hyped gym, no lake access, nonworkering washers/dryers & absolutely no maintenance. so if you think this is a place to call home, see for yourself. Up yours, Timber Cove.
