If you find yourself in or near Decatur, TX, you will want to stop here. If you aren’t looking for it, you will drive right by it, but then you will miss out on an authentic Italian experience. I was passing through and found this place based on Unilocal reviews. I had the stromboli and my colleague had some baked pasta. It came with yummy warm and crusty bread as well as a small house salad(get the house dressing). Simple ingredients with amazing flavors. I left very satisfied and total bill was $ 17.00 before tip.

Great food, excellent prices, and brilliant service(thanks Lukas). The salad and pasta were prepared perfectly, the chicken piccata and tiramisu were fantastic, and even the red wine(chianti) was spot on. This is now our favorite Italian restaurant in all of DFW. Looking forward to trying the pizza next time.

Eat here a lot. Food is good but atmosphere could be better. It’s like eating Italian in a Dairy Queen. Service could be better. Chicken and veal parm are good. The stuffed mushrooms in Burgandy cream sauce is great. Spaghetti is also good. My kids love the Huge slices of pizza. Chicken Marsala had ok flavors but was swimming on the plate. Not a go out of your way place, but if you’re close its worth a shot.

I had a chicken with capers and a lemony garlic sauce. The sauce was a little too tart but the pasta was good and their rolls are AWESOME! I’ll probably just have a salad and those rolls on my next visit! Wait staff was hyper-courteous…did everything just right! Kept my husband’s glass full(key to a good tip from him, lol), brought extra rolls and napkins when we asked(not an hour later)…perfect waitstaff! Lovely meal… we’ll be back!

A truly spectacular food experience! I’ve been to a lot of Italian restaurants in the Houston area and this completely blows most of them away. This would be a Zagat reviewed restaurant in Houston for sure. We started out with the rolls and smelled so good, they were soft and tasted oohh sooo good. Of couse they were homemade. We then sampled a slice of the meat lover’s pizza and it was full of flavor with a beautiful homemade crust. The wife had the Shrimp Pescadore and I had the Veal Volvostana… both were superb!!! Come here, you won’t be disappointed.

We had a horrible experience about 2008 or so and had never come back. They really cleaned up the place it’s much lighter it’s cleaner the waitstaff is friendlier and more knowledgeable and polite and the food was good. I am so glad because I really miss Italian food

A Vegan could just about to start to death in this part of Texas. We were reluctant to stop in Dallas to eat because we are pulling a trailer and it’s such a concrete jungle. But after that it was looking pretty bleak trying to find a place that could accommodate me. This place had good general reviews so I called ahead and asked what they had to offer me. I was told spaghetti with tomato sauce and chicken cacciatore. Not many choices but decided to go ahead and check it out. If you judge this book by the cover you wouldn’t turn to the first page. The exterior appears rather tired but keep an open mind. The interior is simple, a pretty classic mom and pop Italian place. The affordable price point on the lunch menu was a great initial impression. Then when he brought the basket of homemade bread rolls we could tell this would be an enjoyable meal. I had to rip off the tops to remove the Parmesan but that’s okay. We ordered four different items and everyone enjoyed their meal. I got the house Italian dressing and it was delicious. The salad and bread came with my spaghetti with red sauce and mushrooms. My whole meal was 5.99. I ate every last bite and feel very comforted by it. The service was pleasant and professional

Tasty Italian in lil’ country Decatur! A bit of a hole in the wall but do not let it deter you. Friendly folks serving here & quick if you take it to go. Try the pizza! Love the crust & perfect amount of sauce, toppings etc. Just easy simple Italian cuisine. Lots of pastas and meats to try as well. Good list of wines. Definitely give this place a go!

This place is very good. Went on Valentine’s Day and wasn’t too crowded. Had the Salmon Picatta and it was excellent – fresh and flaky. Chicken fettuccine was also good. Homemade rolls great too! Bill for two was $ 25. Will be back!

Their olive oil and herb stuff with bread is amazing! I get the brandy cream ravioli because it’s so good I don’t want to get anything else. Really nice restaurant that has a lot to offer.

Came here for dinner while staying in town for the night. It was a Tuesday night and wasn’t busy, but a group of State Troopers was there, so we had high hopes. Service was prompt and friendly and the menu was extensive. I ordered the grilled salmon with a white wine sauce and side of veggies and my boss ordered a pepperoni calzone. The waitress promptly took our order then brought out two large toasted rolls. Although we didn’t, we could have ordered olive oil and spices to eat with it. Instead we settled for the butter on the table. The food came out quickly and was a decent portion at a decent price. Unfortunately, my plate was DROWNING in sauce, which is probably the biggest reason I’m giving this a 3 instead of a 4. Also, I had to salt my food, which is something I never do. It would’ve been much better if the sauce had come on the side. The sauce and salmon fillet were both good, but neither had much flavor. I don’t think there was any seasoning on the fillet at all. But it was cooked perfectly and a decent size. My bosses calzone was huge and he said it was decent, but not sure if he would order it again. I would come back here, but I would probably be more likely to try other restaurants first.

Best and most authentic Italian within the six surrounding counties. Great for a casual lunch date or business meeting as well as taking her out for an evening on the town. Menu is easy and specials are well explained on the board. Prices are reasonable and affordable. The fresh butter rolls are just the beginning to a great meal but don’t fill up yet, what ever you decide to order will be enough for two dieters or a hungry man who skipped a meal. I’ve been through the whole menu twice and haven’t been disappointed yet.

Not a franchise! Yay! Locally Owned! Yay! Huge menu! Yay! Great Specials! Yay! And reasonably priced! Pretty spartan interior but great service. They handled our large party of 20 with ease. I was very happy to stumble upon the place during my visit to Decatur. Everything else in this town is disappointing or a franchise…

Enjoyed our stop in Decatur at this fine restaurant. I would recommend this place over any chain Italian restaurant but I’ve had better. We had chicken parmesan, cheese pizza and garlic bread with sliced tomatoes.

I cannot believe that this wonderful Italian restaurant is located in the middle of nowhere. I had the special-Veal d’ Pesto. DELICIOUS politically incorrect meat, perfectly cooked and the sauce was the die for. The rolls were out of this world and the cannoli was a perfect ending to an incredible meal. Everything was perfection and I recieved wonderful service. Just as I was finishing up, six State Troopers showed up for dinner, so you know they have consistantly good food at reasonable prices.

Wow some of the best Italian in Texas is a little place in the middle of nowhere. I had Carbonara, a poached egg, prosciutto, and mushrooms in a white wine cream sauce. Holy pasta Batman, the noodles were house made! It was the best Italian food I have ever had. It was served by a small Itailian man that didn’t speak to much English. The meal came with a salad, and fluffy bread that was awesome with butter. For desert I had a piece of cheese cake with strawberries. Awesome. I loved the meal so much he wouldn’t let me pay for it. Now that is Italian, if you live in the town I envy you for having this wonderful place. Go eat there! Simply the best!!!
