Steak tips and beer and garlic steamers are incredible. Café wings boneless are always great do the double they are addicting. The watertown burger was amazing, and the roast beef sandwich my buddy ordered looked really good too.

Zero stars if possible. Returned after declining quality of food. Had nachos with tomatoes that had somehow come in contact with cleaner. Bland food, questionable table service. Very upset intestinal tract after. No more half price wings on sundays either. Order boneless wings(because thats their new sunday special thats not that great of a special) anyway, little chunks of chicken that tasted and looked as if fried in Wicked old oil. YUCKY poopoo.

My party of four showed up on a Friday night just after six pm. We were quickly told that a table would be ready for us in about 15 minutes. In about that amount of time, maybe a couple minutes longer we were being comfortably seated next to the front window. Our waiter, Todd, came to our table without delay even though it was a full house. The Drink order was taken and delivered swiftly and correctly. Martini Apple House $ 8.50, One Margarita Cuervo, a bottle of Bass ale $ 7.00, and my Old fashion SC. Enough about the service. What I really want to mention is the food. In particular my Halfway Combo. Half steak tips and half turkey tips. What a wonderful dish. I love those turkey tips. This eatery is small and always packed with patrons. The nose level was considered too high for my dinner companions. But we all enjoyed the food and drinks and had a terrific evening. Try the Halfway house.. I think you will enjoy it.

Friendly and attentive staff. Good sports coverage with many monitors. Food was well prepared and tasty. I have a cape cod Reuben with sweet potato fries. Interesting variation with fish instead of corned beef or pastrami.(they offered regular version also. Wife had the beet salad which was also rather unique and butternut squash and apple soup. Another unique variation. Reasonably priced in the $ 10 range and enough to satisfy without feeling stuffed. Only downside was that navigation to exit or tables was very difficult though our booth seating was comfortable

We got the homemade mozzarella sticks and the chicken quesadilla. The chicken in the quesadilla was dry and tasted like it was scanned chicken and the mozzarella sticks tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed for awhile. Couldn’t even finish eating.

Halfway café is a great place to stop late night. It’s won’t be obnoxiously crowded and You’ll get great service *wink* whether you’re male or female and lots of TVs to watch games if that’s your thing. It’s a grade A townie(unfortunately as a native of Boston and surrounding suburbs that makes you a townie) bar if I ever saw one.

We ate here last night for the first time. Nice fall menu specials, the rest of the menu was simple, but everything we had was done extra deliciously. I was impressed. Had the Wing Tips and loved it with the steak tips having guiness bbq sauce and the chicken being buffalo sauced. My son had the teriyaki on the steak tips and it was also great. The mashed potatoes were SO light and tasty without being greasy or cloying. Nice waitress, good service. Two thumbs up.

We have driven by this small restaurant a million times and it just doesn’t have much curb appeal. A friend told us one day how much their family loves it so we decided to give it a try. We love it. Food and service are great. My kids love the free popcorn appetizer. Thinking about the Cape Cod Reuben is making me drool right now.

I’m done with this place. Used to be great food at really great prices. Not sure what happened but the food keeps getting crappier and the prices keep going up. I paid like $ 9 for a grilled cheese and didn’t get tomato on it, because that was another buck. The people are usually nice, so that’s a plus, but like I said the value that used to be there is gone gone gone. Now you leave feeling kinda ripped off. Wings are good, but they changed the hot sauce awhile back and they aren’t the same, just a lot more expensive. They used to have great specials and really good deals, but the prices are all jacked up now and they don’t put much care into the food anymore. Just your average pub crap now. You can get way better food for a lot less at a Friday’s or 99. Wouldn’t bother with this place.(free popcorn is ALWAYS stale, btw!) Used to go the Watertown one and that one has gone downhill too!

Wonderful staff who are friendly and treat you like family. The bartenders know their stuff and the food is what you’d expect from a family friendly suburban kitchen. Some comfort food and good burgers. Too bad the owner is a douche nozzle. He’s rude, angry, disrespectful to employees and apparently doesn’t care much for brushing his teeth. If he’s not there, you’ll have a great time.

Tiny little place with an interesting menu. They have the most limited selection of whiskey and scotch that I have ever seen in a bar. They basically stock a couple of low end whiskeys plus a bottle of Jameson. Service is excellent. Their staff is super prompt, friendly and accommodating. The fried pickles are excellent as is their 10″ pizza. Portions are a bit over the top for me. My guess is that with a bit of effort they could push this place up a star or two. Definitely does not have a chain feel thankfully.

I love this place! Great burgers, as good as Mrs. Bartley’s in Harvard Square but ½ the price and even better on Monday($ 5.00 burgers). I have also tried their $ 8.00 specials(shrimp quesadillas were outstanding!)! The servers are great(kudos to you, Rob)! I eagerly await the beginning of each month to see what new specials will be offered. The fries are great and you can even get them with malt vinegar and the sweet potato fries are also wonderful.

I wish I came here more often! Me and a buddy stopped in and they happened to be having a $ 5 burger special(usually $ 9.99). We both went with turkey burgers and I got mine lettuce wrapped with sauteed mushrooms and caramelized onions. Burger was great, the toppings were good, especially the onions! The fries definitely had a good flavor to them. Of course, have to love the complimentary popcorn! The service was absolutely impeccable!

Had dinner at the Halfway in Dedham, though I had high hopes for this establishment I was slightly disappointed with the food. Buffalo tenders: Excellent. buffalo flavor wasn’t over the top and small size was just enough for two as an appetizer. Halfway Chicken Sandwich: tasted great, sauce is interesting and not tangy. bit messy but that’s okay. Chicken was super moist. Fries were horrible. no flavor what so ever? Pulled Chicken Wrap: Not sure why this is even on the menu, the wrap as a whole was just super bland! Chopped up chicken that didn’t seem fresh with onions and smoked cheese. nothing seemed to have any hint of flavor, a very boring dish! I don’t recommend it at all! Paired with bland fries and it’s an epic fail. I gave this place 3 stars based on the awesome service and buffalo tenders which were perfecto, other than that it would of been a 2.

Came here last night with a friend. Better than the average chain, but nothing that has me rushing back. The fried pickles were above average and the spicy chicken sandwich(called triple h… or something ending in h) was pretty good. My friend got the cranberry chicken sandwich which was very blah. It seems like they have Stump Trivia on Thursdays… if I lived in the area I would check it out. The best part of the whole experience was the service. AMAZING. Not only our waiter, but other waiters were checking in on us. The staff is what would make me choose this place over the other places in the area.

I thought Halfway was terrible the first time I went in 2010. I had a pathetic, bland chicken sandwich and swore I would never return. Things change. Halfway is one of the few restaurants I regularly frequent. I’ve found several things on the menu that never disappoint: — STEAMERS: A New England specialty I also rejected upon trying for the first time but have come to love, especially the way Halfway does them in the beer and garlic.(They have become seasonal, however. Summer only. The greatest tragedy.) — Buffalo wings: Not vinegary with creamy mild bleu cheese dip. — Steak tips: Teriyaki or plain, doesn’t matter, they are remarkably good for the price. — Vegetable skewers: Roasted perfectly, not raw or mushy. — Garlic green beans: Really garlicky! The point to emphasize here is that I can always count on Halfway for a tasty, hearty meal at a reasonable price. The 8 for 8 menu is great but I personally can’t stray from my tried and true favorites. The Dedham location is much better than Canton. Service is fast and friendly — waitresses check in enough without being overbearing. Dedham is smaller than Canton and can get busy and loud on game nights but we’ve never encountered a long wait for a table. Halfway doesn’t pretend to be anything fancy, so I hesitate to give it 5 stars, but for what it is, it really can’t be beat.

Always a great meal to be had here. I typically go to the one in Dedham. Great popcorn. The best steamers, make sure to order them with beer and garlic. Very good buffalo wings. The steak tips are excellent with the mashed and grilled vegetables. The coke is passable– I’d like to see a little more carbonation. All in all always delicious and satisfying. So the next time you’re looking for a great place that won’t break the bank, I’ll meet you Halfway.
