I love these guys. Outfitted my two bedrooms for less than 2 grand, mattresses, box spring, high quality bed frames with gorgeous headboards rails and foot boards. Oh and did I mention a baby grand piano too? Selection changes daily, I stop by every weekend just to see some of the beautiful items they have. Ask for William, he can help you out, finding stuff, negotiations on prices, and a heads up on new stuff yet to come. Don’t forget to look up, a huge selection of chandeliers you will miss on your first visit because you will be overwhelmed by everything else.

Sellers beware! Twice I have left items to sell. The first time I was told that«the chair did not sell and was given to charity». I just let it go. Two months ago I left two items. Three weeks later I stopped by and the items were no longer on the floor. One week later I returned to the store and since the items were not on the floor, I went to the front desk to inquire and a woman sitting inside an enclosed office shouted«they have not been sold». I responded that they have not been on the floor for more than two weeks. A man came and said«I sold them yesterday». I asked for the money and I was told that the check would be sent to my home by April 15th. On April 15th I went to the store to purchase a mirror and reminded them that they had my money for the two items. Once again the same woman shouted«they have not been sold». After insisting she found my check but it was for a lesser amount than we had agreed. When I asked to see the sale receipt she said«this is the last time that you will come to this store and if you do I will call a policeman friend of mine». I waited and then she came with a receipt. I took the check and went to pay for the item that I had chosen. When I tried to use THEIR check to cover part of my payment, I was told that it could not be done. I will let other people reach their own conclusions.

A great place to shop and laugh with the staff. You are part of the family there and you can find a unique item. There are two sides to the building. Consignment and Dealer Mall. See Billy he is a hoot.

The store USED to be a huge consignment space with interesting things. Now, it’s a booth-type vintage/antique mart on one side with an eclectic mix of sometimes-fairly-priced things owned by vendors who may negotiate on price. The consignment side is run by a rude arrogant guy named Bill who sucks the fun out of the hunt. His prices are absurd for not-so-special stuff. He has the store peppered with his own collection of art that hasn’t been popular since the 80’s and other simply junk art pieces. There are so many great consignment stores in S Fla. I wouldn’t waste my time at this one again.

This is actually split into two stores: A Consignment Gallery & Decorative Arts Mall. While they have many beautiful items, most of them are outrageously overpriced. e.g. As a collector of movie memorabilia, I came upon a small framed & matted picture of Marilyn Monroe. It had 34×6 photos with a cheaply made B&W photocopy of her driver’s license, or some such personal document/identification. The person who rents this open booth-like space wanted $ 500! LOL! Unless the frame itself is worth $ 475(which I seriously doubt), why would a small, inexpensively looking framed picture fetch this absurd & outrageous asking price? Do you want to Show & Tell, or do you want to sell? As a place to browse, Decorative Arts Mall can’t be beat! LOL! Unless of course, you happen to be a millionaire. –D

Need a great way to spend an afternoon? Come here. This place is fantastic. We stopped by with the thought that this was going to be another dusty assemblage of Boca geriatric shittery, but it ended up being a rare gem! This place is where rich people unload their unwanteds. Amazing goods can be found here, and you can spend a few hours at it, because it’s cavernous and extensively stocked. Lamps, beds, tables, clothing, bric-à-brac, jewelry, bags, books, artwork, fine crystal, sofas, chairs, fur coats, sculptures… on and on. This place is a boon for the decorator on a slightly more generous budget. If you’re used to Home Goods as I am, and hyperventilate at the thought of spending more than $ 40 on a lamp, then you’ll have to adjust your expectations here. Nothing is «cheap». But if you’re looking to purchase a giant hand-carved throne with lion heads on the arm rests for $ 800, they will negotiate with you. And this is stuff you won’t find in Home Goods, or Pier 1, or any other dinky consignment shop. Want a full lead crystal glass set for $ 600? Gucci shoes for $ 95? A mink coat for $ 200? Eccentric red and white gilded chairs for $ 150 each? This is where you shop. The service is great too. Very friendly and helpful. Obviously, the staff here has quite a bit of fun on the job. We bought 2 lamps. Our old lamps — castoffs from my husbands’ days working at Rent-a-Center– were starting to spark when you turned them on. We paid $ 200 for a pair of gorgeous red and gold table lamps. They look pretty sitting on my faded and warped 20 year old end tables I bought at Building #19 in Hingham, MA… now I need end tables. Sheesh. I’m developing a roster of thrifts and consignments I’ll be shopping over the next few years, and A Consignment Gallery makes my list — next, end tables! p.s. One more thing to add… my husband HATES shopping. I don’t like it much myself. But I hate bringing him anywhere because he reverts back to being a teenager and mopes about and shuffles his feet impatiently, making sarcastic remarks until I get fed up and bring him home. He actually LIKED shopping here. Wow.
