This is the BESTDD on the Northshore! From the service, to the staff, and of course, the best coffee, makes this DD stand out!!! I am a loyal customer, and would never trade this for Starbucks!!!

They used to be good at this location but the quality of service has dropped dramatically. At this point I go out of my way to go to a different location

I had a health scare several weeks ago. As I was driving down Lake Cook, I began experiencing chest pain and a shooting sensation in my left arm. I feared that I was about to have a heart attack, so I pulled into the nearest parking lot and slowly made my way into Dunkin Donuts. One of the employees immediately took notice of my condition, and she was kind enough to offer assistance in my time of need. I wish I had gotten her name; I would’ve e-mailed corporate HQ with tremendous praise.

Not gonna lie, 7 minutes in drive thru for a medium black coffee? kinda ridiculous. But maybe it was an off day or something so i will give them another chance. I mean, it is a chain and it’s not really something that would be easy to mess up.

I used to go here every day prior to their construction. Always awesome. Today, I returned and went through the drive-thru for my standard morning coffee. They had trouble reading my phone-app to pay for the purchase. They wanted to take my phone into the store while I was at the drop-thru. They decided, at the drive-thru, they couldn’t help me. They sent me on my way. FAIL! I may try one more time.

Much needed facelift and now it’s all brand new and so clean! I just tried a half hot chocolate and coffee today with a chocolate glazed cake donut. Perfection and perfect pick-me-up.

My favorite donut here is either coconut or the toasted coconut. In the mornings, there’s nothing like it, when it’s paired with a coffee with sugar and cream. While the quality is fine at this location, there are two things that disappoint me consistently at this location… First, the window is super slow, even at low traffic times(11am). It feels like I could get in and out faster at the counter. Second, the selection diminishes greatly in the evening. Now, I’m a reasonable person… I understand that you can’t just keep making every donut throughout the day, but at least for the commuters on the way home? I’m sure that there is some protocol on which donuts to make into the evening. It’s just really disappointing to know that coconut is not on that list. Don’t worry, I’ll be back anyway, because it’s convenient.

I got breakfast here(via the drive-thru) every morning while I was visiting the area. They got my order right every time and the line, when there was one, was handled efficiently. The food was always served hot and tasted fresh. No complaints here!

This DD is quick and everyone is very friendly in the mornings. Even when there are 10 people in line, I get a good morning and a good to see you again. Yes… I go there enough! Donuts, check, Munchins, check, egg white flat bread for when I’m pretending to be healthy, check!

I often stop by this Dunkin Donuts on my way to work in the morning when I am in need of a hot coffee and maybe even a therapeutic donut! The line at 7:30 am is often all the way out of the parking lot. But, don’t let that deter you. These guys are pros! They take orders quickly and send you on your way with a delicious treat! They have never messed up my order and they provide speedy, friendly service. You cannot beat that!

This DD is across the street from my work. Somedays when I’m looking for a little TLC, I like to indulge in the Mocha Blast(no whipped cream) from DD. This morning, I ventured over. I will say that the drive-thru moves pretty fast despite its apparent length(that’s what she said! HA! Sorry — I can’t help it). As I got up to the speaker, I waited for someone to speak. Nothing. Waiting. Nothing. Finally, I thought I detected a faint voice come from the speaker. I ordered Me: Small Mocha Blast, no whip. Onion bagel, toasted with cream cheese please Speaker: —— I wait… I wait… nothing. Me: Hello? Me: Hello? Waiting…waiting… Speaker: Hello? Me: Did you get my order? Speaker: Go ahead with your order. Me: Small Mocha Blast, no whip. Onion bagel, toasted with cream cheese please. Speaker: Do you want whipped cream? Me: No Speaker: — — – After about 5 min total in front of the speaker, I decide to move on. I’m thinking if they didn’t get my order they would certainly take it at the window. I get to the window and a girl lazily announces my total to me. I give her my card & she thrusts a watery mocha blast my way. I wait another minute or two and get a bad thrust at me and i’m on my way. I open it to check it’s a bagel. I get to work and although it is a bagel toasted with cream cheese — it’s plain and bland. Bad experience. Ick. I will not be returning.

My tour of Dunkin Donuts continues… but I won’t be reviewing all of them I’ve been to. ASIF. but fuckin A! Story time!!! and if you’re not into that: MOVEITALONGASSHOLE. cuz I wanna tell why my experience at DD was a special one. And cuz I needed quarters and might as well buy a donut to be polite. So yesterday morning I took 294 and a huge ass truck blocked my stupid view and I got off on the wrong exit!!! waaaaah!!! I really had no time to cut his ass off. You snooze you lose is right. I had to turn around and get back on the stupid toll road. but I did not have any coins. gaaaah!!! The other toll thing had human collectors, but this one was a damn machine and wouldn’t take bills. BITCH. So I just had to run it *cries* and pay my fee online laterz. That fee online better be it!!! and not snowball into a bigger fine. Shit, I’m not made of money here! I have student loans to pay up still! I. GET. IT!!! I get that if I take the toll road/way whatever that I better be prepared with coins JUSTINCASE there’s no humans to break my dollar bill, 5 or 10. Anyway, I was way lost cuz the detour to the next entrance to 294 was through a forest or some shit so it really threw me off!!! so I got off the nearest exit to get some COINS. cuz by this time, I did not know where the hell I was. Damn you Illinois!!! What is this land you call, «Deerfield.» Where the hell are you Park Ridge??? I’m in Des Plaines now??? What the fuck is going on??? Where the hell am I??? I don’t get it!!! I miss you already Chicago!!! College didn’t prepare me for this! Is my brain working at all today? Is this what happens when you skip breakfast!!! The one day I skip breakfast!!! I wanna call my mommy!!! but she’s on pacific time. and I shouldn’t be crying and talking on the cell while driving. Especially when wearing lots of eye makeup. that is not all waterproof. But there were no gas stations around! Where the fuck are you when I need you gas stations!!! ??? Just business parks and strip malls. And forests. But I saw a dunkin donuts and made a small purchase so I can request change. Dudes, this place was really nice inside, clean and busy. I’ve never been to a modern, nice looking DD before! People really love their Dunkin donuts around here eh… this place was pretty busy. It’s kinda cool seeing differences like that in different regions. My strawberry frosted donut was soft and fluffy. as expected for that early in the morning. Not a fan of the sprinkles though. Some DD’s don’t put sprinkles on their strawberry frosted, just sayin. This location is a pretty nice sized one with a lot of seating. not one of those dinky ones. A hot guy with a tie was having a bite inside, or maybe coffee? I didn’t look too long cuz I was late!!! Then he stood behind me in line! Oh my. Anyway, got a quick breakfast bite AND some COINS for the toll booths! what a nice experience for a crappy day. I spent more than half my day in traffic and getting lost yesterday. Thank God I wore a dress, too bad it was black!!! and you know what that means in this weather. I just didn’t think I’d be getting my ass lost everywhere!!! ILLINOIS!!! I deserve a dozen donuts. and I need to expand my horizons beyond downtown. haha. Later in the day I ended up in Skokie. YEEHAWWWW. I really need to buy a GPS device.

What happened Dunkin Donuts? You were the shining beacon in my daily commute to work. You were the reason I continued to jog after college and torture myself to stay thin enough to keep my ultra judgmental mother off my back. You were the trifecta of danger: ToGo’s sandwiches AND a Baskin-Robbins? I would stray once in a while but I’d always come back for a breakfast sandwich and two dozen donuts 2x a week. I haven’t been here in years and only because of a recent issue with a car am I stuck here for a time being Unilocaling and eating a stale, greasy donut. What happened? I see no smiles on the faces, no suggestions as to which to take home with me and not even a selection worthy of the homeless. Instead, I see a smattering of sprinkled doughnuts here and there and just greasy little circles where they used to sit. It’s sad and heartbreaking to see that my favorite doughnut shop has gone down the drain. It won’t necessarily stop me from eating a donut but I’ll certainly stop eating yours.
